I've been working with the Independent Wiki to set up this lost media page! If you have leads on anything mentioned in this video or know of more lost media, please let me know or add it to the wiki page! fallout.wiki/wiki/FalloutWiki:Lost_Media Here’s the JRPG video too 🙂 th-cam.com/video/HxCGAFO3QbM/w-d-xo.html Taking a short break from making videos after this one. Kinda had a brutal streak there between the DC Cut Content, BOS development and the F1 time limit videos essentially back to back 🖤🖤🖤
I have absolutely nothing to support this assertion, but I am absolutely positive that at least one of the things listed here will be found as a direct result of this video's publication.
I played a Fallout 2 demo at Gen Con 1998. Memory is fuzzy, but I think it only consisted of the Temple of Trials. It was awesome getting to see it before any of my friends because we all loved the first one so much.
A lot of the e3 footage could possibly be sitting online already on a video with a few dozen views. It wouldn't be the first time that early game footage, or games that nobody even know were in production have been discovered sitting in the open for years.
Exactly. It’s like the lost shrek media that was discovered on a random TH-cam account, except it wasn’t called shrek lost media. It was some insanely obscure title that had nothing to do with it. Im sure in someone’s random E3 1998 clips, there’s probably a little bit of fallout somewhere
@Baneofvader yeah exactly! Mid 90s shrek footage found on online portfolio's from animators. Personally I had the food fight ps2(?) game in mind. There was virtually no press coverage of it and nobody had heard of it until someone pointed it out playing in the background of some generic E3 B roll footage.
I just want to tell you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your content, I started watching you during my first year of college, and now looking back with graduation around the corner, I always have looked forward to the honestly astounding things in these games have hidden. No matter how low the days from studying and stress from life, I could always enthrall myself in your videos. So cheers, man.
I know fallout was first designed using GURPs but it’s weird as hell to me to think of fallout without the SPECIAL system..That stat system really helps fallout stand out in terms of gameplay and it’s hard to imagine the series without it.
More likely reason why we haven't found it is because well it was the 90s so people didn't upload every photo they took to their social media. It may be somewhere hidden in a random old form or website nobody has visited in 30 years. Basically I am sure someone has the photos just it was before we had them all hidden away in easy places. Like the Sherk thing they found on some random youtube video with so few views basically you'll one day find it if it exists out their. also if you where to hunt through all the footage from the event you'd surely find something from it.
4:06 Do we know why the painting with the two vault dwellers standing over the ghouls was made? I can't find any reference to it on wikis, and nobody seems to label as concept art either.
DAMNET So much Lost Media shit for fallout and their LITERALLY LOST. Not "OH, we know it's out there. just don't know where exactly." But "Yae, no one bothered to record the gameplay nor even a still image of gameplay when first demoed in the 90's. so it's literally gone." All i can guess is. many of these demo's and leaks were probably in some old pic drive but over the years, it just got scrapped and whoever did it, never bothered to check what was inside the pc. I've heard old pc repair guys would get loads of computers from gaming studios to fix, clean, whatever and often they wouldn't pick it up when it was done and so these guys kept the pc for years in storage. Sometimes if you have connections with them, they'd sell it to you for spare parts or just for the vintage crap. So it might still be out there or someone else got it and scrapped the whole thing without knowing what they got.
i remember reading ancient game mags about bethesda FO3. an article mentioned the combat music being something like "techno". maybe it used tactics fighting tracks?
Fascinating 🤔 I know the fallout 3 trailer has a few differences in the way items are named but not much else. Fallout 3 has a ton of cut content that was cut very late into development so you can still access it even on console with just a glitch or two such as evergreen mills raiders having unique dialogue if made friendly.
Its probably not lost per se. Its probably like some of Tonyi Lonmi's old master tapes. They exist somewhere in some storage bin noone has/is assed to go through. There is likely some retired mod creator that has the Geck studio just sitting on an old hard drive somewhere.
@@foughtthelol You could literally make a new game with Geck Studio. It has all of the third party stuff and other things that were removed for the stripped down version they released publicly. For example, there were real time shadows (like in Oblivion) in Studio's version of NV. Not just NPC shadows like in the normal game, but shadows for everything.
5:32 That reads to me more as a fancy tag line of sorts, than a literal promise that winners will be Super Mutants in-game. Though if we don't know the winners, either interpretation is about as valid...
Man between the tactics bags and 76 bags, fallout has a bad history with promising bags. Remind when the next fallout game if they promise bags dont go for it
This is my DUDE fallout has always been the game I use for anything form of RP being it’s someone in real life I wanna make or just some random story shit I even do it in games like the UFC the older ones with stats characters are what you make them to be
With how complex the GECK seems as a non-modder, I always just assumed it *was* the in-house creation tool! I'm curious what GECK Studio has that GECK doesn't!
From what I understand it's integrated into the game itself, which allows you to check what you're doing as you do it, among other utilities if the dev build of 76 is any indication
Could you make a video about what Ulysess would have been like as a companion in original NV? I don't know if it was possible to collect anything recently about what happened to his farm, what was in his dialogues, etc. As far as I remember, it would have had a brutally long story and serious companion quests. (yeah: anoter cut content video ;) )
Where would one look to find more info about Bethesda or other fallout developers in house dev tools like geck studio? Or really stuff like geck studio for any game dev team lol
I hate how stingy a lot of the 360 modders/hackers have been. Like that Fallout 3 build, the Dead Rising youtuber has a bunch of DR1 builds that have never been publicly shared. Hell, that Goldeneye remaster was held for over a decade before it got posted.

My offer is still up if you remember in the community post
All the time you need, dude
There was a Flash promo called "Fallout: Tactics Concentration Game" for Tactics. The Nukapedia Fallout Wiki has a download link.
Great job on the video and hope to see you at NMA-Fallout forum again sometime

Love when that happens. Very cool to see the internet being used as a tool for collaborative learning/expanding knowledge
It definitely would help if the video got very popular.

Dude can drop Fallout info even when there's seemingly no stones unturned. What an absolute menace.

Hearing about geck studio really broke me, we need that
FMA music was a good choice! Love all your videos/community posts so excited to get through this one!
I hope the fallout jrpg gets found because it sounds so interesting
Man every Triangle City video blows me away! Always looking forward to your next upload

Fallout Yurop was such a promising mod :(
Only if harddrives lasted forever. Won't be long until these builds/media sitting on old drives are truly lost to time.
I love the little FMA sound bite
I find it shocking that there's just no pictures of the E3 booths. Do you think the organizers of E3 have pictures/ video of their venues?

Cover art, it’s badass
Keep up the great work. Can't wait for part 2!
Your one of best TH-camrs out there covering fallout and waest land which am super excited for btw
Seeing as he now produces YT content, it would be amazing if Tim Cain sees this video and helps to fill in some of the blanks.
Thanks for the upload❤

The power armor full renders would be nice.
wow that JRPG looks really interesting
So, theoretically speaking, how would one determine if a burned copy of Fallout 3 for 360 was a prerelease build?
on the main menu, pretty sure version is shown on the display/graphics tab
i remember reading ancient game mags about bethesda FO3. an article mentioned the combat music being something like "techno". maybe it used tactics fighting tracks?

Oof, that full version of the geck being lost hurts.
True
Its probably not lost per se.

Woo Aww a new intro style
That tasty content
Triangle i hipe you are having agreat time. Thanks for all the fallout content since we most likely will get a new game til 2030
I hope the new show either is good or immediately becomes lost media.

Man, BoS was really something else when it came to marketing. Not sure if successful, but definitely something different.
God that would be badass to acquire the geck system
Triangle city with another banger
Hey is your background pic an actual canon pic for the series or fan made? Because it's interesting that the APA has blue eye lenses
It was the original main menu screen for F2 and was used in quite a few magazine ads
Bethesda apparently has the source codes of 1 and 2. Maybe one day.

It's shown in the F3 official documentary
You earned a like for music choice alone fck it and a subscription
Thank you for your content.
It's fucking weird hearing Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood music behide a fall out video
I dig the ME ambience
I’m very curious do any of these devs watch your videos?
some have commented and he's reached out and talked to a few before
