Those stainless tips would look better with stainless bottom trim on a coach than the factory chrome (which just rusts).
The defuser is to break up the wind around the tip to keep the flame from the suck-out of the pipe
Thanks for the input! We haven’t had any issues without it but well post here if we do!
Looks good. I will check into that saw. Thank you
Another good video from you guys! We need to do the same on our 2008 Monaco Camelot. Both our genny and aqua hot tips are getting a little rusty
thanks Ken! Checkout the full article as the links to the genny exhaust tip is in there also. Thats a direct slip on and a quick job! - Also stay tuned, next weeks video is pretty cool where we test the all-new sanicon macerators from Thetford that we've been putting through the paces for a couple months now!
Congratulations and best wishes to you and Kala, Erik! :-) May you have a lifetime of happiness! :-) Thank you for the video, too! :-)
Good vid
Great video, just wondering if you added the diffuser on the end. Some techs told me it was important who knows for sure
Ours never had anything at the end except a small bracket we think was to keep it from being buried in ground, nothing that would have any measurable amount of diffuser capability. Has fired up 100% with no issues so seems good to us! We have a propane unit so maybe it is different but we’ve heard others have done this without issue.
So why don't you get a ss tip the correct size. Doesn't make sense to add a ss tip after a galvanized increaser. Did you do the work or someone who was mechanically inclined? Is that why you don't show it?
couldn't find a 2 inch anywhere that was true stainless. If we went to a custom exhaust shop i'm sure we could have. If you find a link be sure to share it!
@@LivinliteNet1 hey look on Ebay. Found some there. Google it. Several there.
Also Jeggs
Alot of motorcycles used 2" stainless steel tips
It took me all of 1 minute to find several.
Thanks Tim, were really happy with the larger look from this setup but im sure a 2 inch would work great also. I think you need a 2 inch ID? Ive gotten so much fake stainless off ebay I went for the Gibson which i’ve had on other vehicles for 10+ years without issue but if you find a good one make sure to link it!
