I've got the exact same bike. Love it for the riding I do, generally slower technical, some rock-crawling, but also some open bush roading. Love the smooth no-surprises power delivery and the plush suspension.

We all know manufactures fudge numbers, but the dry weight for my bike (2017 EXC-F, 250) is listed as 227.1 pounds. The Husky TE250i is listed as dry weight 231.5 pounds. I feel the huge difference is the way the Husky TE carries its weight...feels very balanced and like the weight is on top or in the middle. Since I lowered my bike (and it is a 4 stroke) the weight feels lower and more towards the ground (for obvious reasons). And the 2 stroke obviously has that awesome "punch" that you get. I also lug my bike all day in 2nd gear :)

I really dislike how manufactures list “dry” weight, when that number is absolutely irrelevant as you can’t ride the bike “dry”…

I have a 2018 ktm 250exc-f and find it is usually all the power I really need for trails. Good to know it handles higher elevation.

Yea i have the 2017 and am in this video. I found it handles everything gnarly here in Colorado. Great bike that keeps up with the 2 strokes at least in the mtns. Great all around bike.

the 2 stroke has more power down low, I own both. don't know what your buddy was talking about needing to clutch it in first up that hill. I usually run 2 or 3rd up hills, the 2 strokes will lug.

What's the max bodyweight you would recommend for this bike? I'm considering it as my 1st enduro bike.

its a great enduro bike and possibly the only one you will need. I weighed about 240lbs with gear and pulled me no problem at all. My buddy cooleye colorado does very slow moving technical trails with it and delivers just like a 2 stroke if not better because of the low end. only reason I like 2 strokes is because they are easier to maintain and cheaper to maintain but his 250 been super reliable.
