In my fifties, not a small guy, disciplined when riding, not interested in "getting my knee down", I'm wanting stability, not interested in TFT screen or phone connectivity, want a bigger machine to suit my size, cost not an issue. Great review l really enjoyed it. I’ve just taken a recent interest in the Hayabusa, l still think is better value for for money than the current 1000cc sports bikes.
If you like the idea of an all rounder you cant go wrong. They are also more comfortable and accomodating for longer rides, and if you want to have a pillion. Also better protection from wind and rain are bonuses many don’t think about but these reduce stress when riding so it becomes so much more enjoyable. Being heavier they are not so affected by cross winds. Anyway as you can see i am a real fan. Test ride one and you will be surprised how nimble and good you feel on one ☝️
Well, the 'Busa is a sports bike, but it's a freight train too. It rewards good riding, but is not as forgiving as a litre bike. Litre bikes are a bit on the nose with the market nowadays, we think that's because of the unforgiving seating position and even more unforgiving Highway Patrol.
Another thought is that people don't care about newspaper statistics because everyone knows that new models can make big profits with little modifications.
i went to dealer for a looksy. sore jogging hip no way when i scrunched aborad.. never cared for criotch rocket bikes but this one i was interested in.
That’s what I said, I think they did a great job but yet everybody for the most part are just hating on it because they want more hp they won’t even use even if Suzuki had made it available to them, as it is very few people will be able to get 1/4 off what the bike is capable of Ask I can say is wait until people start slapping on full exhaust systems and unlocking the ecu wow Glad I purchased mine, it’s getting delivered today

Great review. My only comment is the camera was too low. While you are riding I like to "come along for the ride". All I could see was the instruments. Just my 2c worth.
A question for those that own, have owned a busa or similar performance bike what did you own before? My last bike was a 1999 VFR800. I worry that the busa might get me in trouble and not just with authorities. 😳 🤪 tia Great to see an Aussie review. Is this in Victoria?
Its like having 2 bikes.below 5500 rpm.= nice street bike.above 5500,can still be nice, but can be ballistic.but u have full control.lift control on 1,or more ,if u want.be carefully with clutch, use all fingers and careful on thottle.if u just let the clutch go,and have the rpms high, not fully thinking about it- then u could have a problem.so,be mindful,u should be just fine.come in a bit fast into a turn, wrestle the lean angle down if u have to,though u shouldn't have to do that.just trying to be helpful.i love it !!! The seat is lower than the zx6r considerably,so,that helps me.did I mention i love it ??
Rider aids are making riders less skilled, the bikes practically ride themselves these days, just like automatic cars. I ride a Gen 1 Busa and can't ever see me moving to the newer ones, maybe an engine and fork swap but that's a big maybe. I like the raw delivery of the Gen 1, it's too cool!
To each there on. I like all the new features and could care less if it makes my job easier. I will not forget what I learned over the years so it's whatever
I took my Gen-1 Hayabusa over Highway 17 -Mountain/switchback Highway in California Until you’ve done that? I really wouldn’t take advice from anyone who rides a Hayabusa. It’s a sports bike. So, Everything should handle chicane. California highway 17 through Santa Cruz. two-way highway/no middle barrier & -thousand foot drop off cliffs, to the other side, going north. Instant death with one mistake. And you could severely hurt others as well. I felt like Hannibal of Carthage, taking an elephant through, Swiss Alps. The Hayabusa will do it. As a sport bike the center of gravity is low enough to get through chicane if you have the WEIGHT to leans it WITHOUT -Centripetal gyrating force of the engine. As, The scariest part was on the way down the hill, when you’re not under power. you better know how to work your gears and brakes and lean and muscle that huge bike, -W/out TOP-SIDING💀 down a cliff! But good luck if you’re under 190 pounds. As, The Hayabusa needs to be HEAVILY muscled 👉🏽unless you’re going “straight”💡 I slept like a baby that night, after mountain-carving, on my Hayabusa. #BUSANATION🇺🇸🔥
So the 2nd Gen is just as good as the 3rd Gen as long as you know how to ride and don't need or want the extra cost of all the electronics, I'll use my money on a left over 2019 Thank you.
2013 and up is when they made mild changes like ABS and another thing or two. I would get a 2013 and up. I believe its the same as the 2019 just different colors for each yr.
I’m a scooter rider 😂 this looks beautiful but is it not frustrating that mostly you will use so little of its potential or have I got this completely wrong ?
Not really.. You can tap into some the performance on the open road...a long long way from the city. Around town, stick to a scooter. But once you've had 120hp on tap... You adjust. If your not interested in riding open road often, developing and enjoying cornering, you won't get it
so many like to say well ya know Suzuki built that bike to bat the blackbird.. nothing could be further from the truth, considering the 96 1100 handled it in fashion.. look Suzuki created these bikes, all the sportbikes you see out there today? that's Suzuki, through and through.. . everyone copied them.. Suzuki didn't want to do anything more than make a big block of what they had already been producing, the GSXR 750, Suzuki really just wanted to one up themselves, they had the 1100, but in the older platform.. they wanted something new, something brave and bold for the new platform, so they did, and it still today 25 years later beats them all, its generally how it goes when you are the creator, and frankly the Suzuki is the best bike of them all, easier to work on, more comfortable, handling, more reliable, and welp, they win everything... just because ducati has to bribe the E5 into pushing the Japanese bikes out of racing so they can sell their ducks doesn't mean anything but what it is, a desperate move by a desperate company... Suzuki is no hurry to do anything, they're in the drivers seat, they'll let the johnny come lately's try to catch up then release a GSXR 1000 that will win every title for the next 10 years in superbikes again, then let off the gas.. see if anyone can catch up.. no one wonders why Suzuki isn't spending millions trying to catch up to the pack? or is it people think they just cannot do it even if they wanted tho throw billions at it? they are a company afer allin it to make profits, nto throw money and emiissions agencies and racing series.. id bet it all they already have the designs if not prototypes that put it out on the dynos already but as a company with integrity and grit they are not going to allow E5 or anyone else to push them around or dictate what they should do, and they certainly proved they aren't going to allow any racing series to push em around, they don't need to race and there isn't ANYTHING these companies can do to change Suzuki .. no one wonders why Suzuki hasn't released an updated 1000 for the non euro racing series? welp the 10 year old gsxr 750 keeps bringing home the bacon year after year there is no need to, Suzuki knows who the King of the Road is and who the followers are.. and until another company can prove them wrong on this I don't see them in any hurry to do anything different.. lets face it, 50% of the sportbike community are Suzuki loyalists so not having Suzuki in road racing hurts them, not Suzuki, and Suzuki knows this.. so why should Suzuki bend, when its a crooked euro that needs to bend, or leave, same for the racing series, Suzuki doesn't need to bend for them, its the other way around, look what Suzuki has done for motorcycle racing in the last 50 years.. it wouldn't be where it is today without Suzuki, PERIOD, and a lot of folks need to remember this and start showing the respect they should be showing. . I am so proud of Suzuki for not bending to these people, that shows pure integrity and determination, morals . . its all about money for these people who want to change this rule or that rule.... no one actually needs them, who needs an agency to determine how much noise a bike can make, or how much fuel it can burn yadda yadda... these people just hurt racing, so maybe Suzuki is waiting for racing to do something about these people who are intent on hurting motorcycle road racing? the sooner this agency gets their hands out of racing the sooner racing can get back to racing.. its that old adage, DRAIN THAT SWAMP!

It’s hayabusa vs ZX14R, not hayabusa vs H2. Everyone seems to forget about the ZX14R, which is actually faster than the Ninja H2 in a quarter mile, and is the fastest bike maker. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fastest_production_motorcycles_by_acceleration
I was running a ZX 14R (2020 model) but sold it, and replaced it with a 2023 Hayabusa. I do agree the ZX is better in many respects. As for being faster? Let's be honest, it's rather immaterial at these insane speeds whether one is 0.1 seconds faster to 60. The lower down power delivery of the gen 3 coupled with the cruise control make this a better machine for the riding I do. Add in the legendary status of this bike coupled with the fact the ZX 14R looks like the bar-steward love child of the elephant man and I suspect this is why it will sell by the crate full.......

Riding next to a Triumph Bobber. I own one of those and am looking to buy the new Hayabusa. It's like a sign
It's fate! Good luck mate :)
As an older busa owner, try cornering with them. 1000 hold their candle in a different way
Well, the 'Busa is a sports bike, but it's a freight train too. It rewards good riding, but is not as forgiving as a litre bike. Litre bikes are a bit on the nose with the market nowadays, we think that's because of the unforgiving seating position and even more unforgiving Highway Patrol.
3:55 that idiot in the white van that drove pass you at 200km/h should be reported to the police.
Bootiful machine...👍👍👍
How would this bike feel in start and stop traffic for 30km? Tiring?
Can't wait till someone code breaks that ECU to see the TRUE POWER
getting this as my first bike 😼
Ride safe brother!
Cool, but show it respect. It's faaaast...
watching you drive on the left lane and with the camera pointed low i feel like you're about to collide into oncoming traffic :) Great video tho.
1:25 the size of those exhausts certainly 'finish' it off 😮
Another thought is that people don't care about newspaper statistics because everyone knows that new models can make big profits with little modifications.
Hey man , which colour looks more good . The black or silver ?
That's up to you, but I like the silver myself. It really pops.
The 3th gen is for sure a beautiful bike but I don't know why I prefer the second gen aesthetically, it's sexier in my opinion😛
i went to dealer for a looksy. sore jogging hip no way when i scrunched aborad.. never cared for criotch rocket bikes but this one i was interested in.
🔥🔥
Great review!
Great review, some good points raised there. I had the black one to review. Which colour do you prefer?
We reckon the combination of Metallic Thunder Gray and Candy Daring Red is killer.
I would get a hyabusa , for three things .
It's looks, and the low down and mid range Grunt.
Very solid reasons to own one there Daveyboy.
Spencer loves a giggle! Great review S!
Looks like a hoot. I'd have one..... in Quiksilver please... 😂😂
"loose ya license in about 3 seconds from a stand still"
quote of the video lol
"Anyway...."
Wait till it gets uncorked !!
That’s what I said, I think they did a great job but yet everybody for the most part are just hating on it because they want more hp they won’t even use even if Suzuki had made it available to them, as it is very few people will be able to get 1/4 off what the bike is capable of
Ask I can say is wait until people start slapping on full exhaust systems and unlocking the ecu wow
Glad I purchased mine, it’s getting delivered today
The bike looks so small beside you. Lol.
Hi, is that colour a matte finish?
Yep! Suzuki calls it Metallic Matte Sword Silver.
What part of Australia are you from, and where are you riding?
We are in Melbourne Victoria, the area in the video was The Dandenongs, about 40km east of Melbourne.
Try the ZZR1400 next.
Would you know power to weight ratio?
So tantalising but it breaks my harta to replace my b-king...it has been my workhorse for moreh tuan 10years
my previous bike was a busa gen 1,but i love the bking more
We see your predicament, being massive B-King fans here at INFO MOTO HQ.
sir my height is 5’5 to 5’7
i can ride this bike ? please tell 🙏
Please tell me why many say this bike is not for a begginer, is it because it this bike is intimidating or heavy or is it because one may not respect it and go wild on one? or can anyone ride one with the right approach until the rider gets use to it .
One word/ Performance. To ride a high-powered bike well, there is no substitute for experience. This thingy is supersonic.
The road from cardina reservoir to Selby isn't the best road to the try the Busa especially when it's damp!
Looks like too much bike for me. Both power and dollars. 😢 Biggest bike I've owned was a 99 VFR800. I think I need an in-between bike. Any suggestions. Great review.
You and me both, Mark! Are you looking to get another used sportsbike? There's too many good ones to name
@@INFO_MOTO Yeah, probably something used. I was thinking of a gen 2 busa, but hearing what you said. 🤔
@@1mach28914u1 Well go for it... The gen 3 Hayabusa will not disappoint you 👍
@@1mach28914u1 Get something like an MT10 or similar. These bikes give you big power and great electronics combined with all day comfort.
Triumph Speed Triple. I have a Gen2 Busa and the RS version of the Triumph. Great compromise.
Great review. My only comment is the camera was too low. While you are riding I like to "come along for the ride". All I could see was the instruments. Just my 2c worth.
Thanks for watching mate. You're spot on, I had the camera set too low. I corrected that for our other videos. Cheers!
"You'll lose your licence in 3 seconds, but oh well"
A question for those that own, have owned a busa or similar performance bike what did you own before? My last bike was a 1999 VFR800. I worry that the busa might get me in trouble and not just with authorities. 😳 🤪 tia
Great to see an Aussie review. Is this in Victoria?
Sure is Mark, mostly around Emerald.
Can't agree on this one mate. Anything that makes a rider less likely to crash is a good thing in our books. We hear your point though.
I took my Gen-1 Hayabusa over Highway 17
-Mountain/switchback Highway in California
Until you’ve done that?
I really wouldn’t take advice
from anyone who rides a Hayabusa.
It’s a sports bike.
So,
Everything should handle chicane.
California highway 17 through Santa Cruz.
two-way highway/no middle barrier
&
-thousand foot drop off cliffs,
to the other side, going north.
Instant death with one mistake.
And you could severely hurt others as well.
I felt like Hannibal of Carthage,
taking an elephant through, Swiss Alps.
The Hayabusa will do it.
As a sport bike
the center of gravity is low enough
to get through chicane
if you have the WEIGHT to leans it
WITHOUT
-Centripetal gyrating force of the engine.
As,
The scariest part was on the way down
the hill,
when you’re not under power.
you better know
how to work your gears and brakes
and
lean and muscle that huge bike,
-W/out TOP-SIDING💀 down a cliff!
But
good luck if you’re under 190 pounds.
As,
The Hayabusa needs to be HEAVILY muscled
👉🏽unless you’re going “straight”💡
I slept like a baby that night,
after mountain-carving, on my Hayabusa.
Horses for courses.
Lift the camera higher

I’m a scooter rider 😂 this looks beautiful but is it not frustrating that mostly you will use so little of its potential or have I got this completely wrong ?
It is VERY frustrating... lol
Not really.. You can tap into some the performance on the open road...a long long way from the city. Around town, stick to a scooter. But once you've had 120hp on tap... You adjust. If your not interested in riding open road often, developing and enjoying cornering, you won't get it
Can you imagine if the Hayabusa had a nice large digital screen and how nice that would be.
“The gen 2 was barebones”? Really, I thought it was bloated, with gadgets, compared to my gen 1 🤷🏻♂️.
so many like to say well ya know Suzuki built that bike to bat the blackbird.. nothing could be further from the truth, considering the 96 1100 handled it in fashion..
look Suzuki created these bikes, all the sportbikes you see out there today? that's Suzuki, through and through.. . everyone copied them..
You guys getting your ass rim if you're paying 28k cuz you're in the states it's 18k
$18K USD - $28.11K AUD. That seem like a rim job to you?
I was disappointed when I heard the price and power figures. Less power more money. No thanks I think I’d prefer the previous version a lot more.
Hill assist, brembos, better suspension forks, six axis IMU, cornering ABS, slide control, 2 way quickshifter (2modes), 10 modes traction control, launch control, anti-wheelie control, anti-lift control, revised more durable engine, quicker stock quarter mile than gen 1 and 2, plus 8 year inflation and you want that for the price of a gen 2.
Ducati sells you a 20K Panigale V2 (150hp) for the same price of the gen 3, Aprilia RSV4 is 26000 dollars, S1000RR is 25000, the H2 SX SE is 27000, Panigale V4R 30000 dollars, the gen 3 Hayabusa 18500 dollars base price which is more than fair. Prices in US dollars or Euros.
Only thing I hate...is the chain....they stretch n get floppy......needs to be shaft drive.....friend of ours got his helmet split into by a chain....good thing he had a helmet on......hate chain drive
Hmmmm. There's no doubt that chains are more maintenance heavy than shafts, but weight saving will almost always have a high powered sporty wearing a chain.
👍👍👍✊✊✊🏍🏍🏍🇧🇷
Technically it is still a busa with new plastic and less power lol were is the 9k prices increase from didn’t cost Suzuki 9k extra to build that’s for sure, it’s the same shit as the old busa just with new plastics and some electrics
Where I'm from, the 2nd gen was $13,500 new. The 3rd gen is $18,500. That's $5k more. Also the gen 3 has hill assist and brembos, etc. Is it worth $5k more? Probably not, but many people will love the upgrades.

Over-rated garbage
Thats funny !
Oh well some people love it . That said what do you ride?
I love my over rated so called garage. Lol.
Maybe you own something better?
Apart from your views that you’ve obviously pepped up for the review, so what is your real thoughts?
