MBM Productions: The Iron Range (4K)

Come along with us on an October 2022 tour of the former DM&IR Iron Range. We'll visit both subdivisions of on the DM&IR, the Missabe Subdivision and the Iron Range Subdivision. You'll see ore and limestone trains working back and forth between the docks at Proctor and Two Harbors. You'll also see the various local operations in the area, with the T-Birds working back and forth, L568 working the Missabe Sub, and the R901 "Keenan Switch" working around Iron Jct. We were even fortunate enough to witness the final run of 2022 for the trio of B&LE Tunnel Motors that were working limestone trains for Minntac and Minorca.
With the new CN 3300 series GE rebuilds not to far in the distant future, it was imperative that we hit the Range one more time before a full scale widecab invasion took place.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy this modern day look at the CN's Iron Range.

If you don’t mind me asking, where’d you find the CN train symbols? I’m visiting the Range next month to see the older power before it’s replaced by the 3300s, and I want to know if there’s an easy way to get the symbols.

I got the symbols listening to the radio. When the trains leave wherever they're leaving, they usually tell the RTC their symbol and leader. For the detailed symbol info, refer to the CN RailroadfanWiki page.
