Saw the Canal House on Brindley Place. It used to be the James Brindley before and now it's The Botanist. So I looked it up for beer prices. Bottled Beer ranging from £5.75 to £7.50 for 330ml. 500 ml which I'm assuming is draught, although it doesn't specify that, vary from £7.50- £7.95.
I'm looking for a place for 6 of us drinking for about 6 hours. with 2 women who will probably be drinking cocktails, prosecco or wine, I reckon we'd be paying around £450 without any food. So it's a big No from me!!

Hop & Scotch: a miraculous little place. Unassuming behind a normal shop front, behind, we have the finest real-ale pub in Birmingham, save the Welly. Wonderful back shelf too, if one likes a drop of the 'hard stuff'!
