    Best one I see. That's the proper way of removing things unlike other videos they don't remove some other parts in the way jus work around n not disconnecting it. Like a lazy kind of mechanic

    This looked easy until you had to strip out the interior, remove the dash, cut out the firewall, and unplug the entire wiring harness, then it looked like it was harder than I thought it would be! 🙂
    Excellent video, one of the best I have seen on TH-cam. Great job!!!!

    I had a 2003 S2000 ap1 . It was a blast but a little cramped for my size .
    Now I have a 2005 TL with the factory 6 speed , front Brembos and limited slip .
    Its almost as quick as my S2000 Was and nobody really trys to race me like they did in the S2000 .

    This video was perfect! I was able to change both valve cover gaskets and cleaned up a lot of leaves and nuts in the engine bay (go figure). Tested it and no leaks. Thanks so much!
    p.s. any chance you'll do a timing belt change for the TL?

    Excellent video! I have the same issue of my front wheels looking a mess due to the oil leaking. My bank 1 catalytic converter has gone bad, so I think I might do the converter job along with this and, if possible, pull the converter out past the rear valve cover while it is off of the car. I have read posts on Acurazine of people doing it that way. You are supposed to remove the drive shaft for the job but I have not had good luck removing the shafts on my TL.
    I have an 2008 with 206 k on it and it runs great. It will be cool not having my wheels looking a mess shortly after they are cleaned. Even more importantly, not having oil leaking period.

    To get the rubber gaskets out. Place the cover in the oven for about 15 minutes at 375 degrees. Once done, remove the cover and face it down. Get the flathead screwdriver and stick it in the gasket at an angle. Hit it with a hammer or palm. They will fall right out.

    Would bad valve cover gaskets also cause any misfire issues? Because, I recently replaced all 6 spark plugs and coil packs and 3 days later, the misfire of banks 2, 4 & 5 happened. What else could be the cause of misfiring?

    • @KeizorSoze1
      @KeizorSoze1 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@JayP19AD Yes. This time around, I had cylinders 1, 3 & 6 that were misfiring. I had bad tube seal gaskets. So, oil was all over those spark plugs and coilpacks. I just went ahead and replaced all 6 of the tube seals and valve cover gaskets since I had the covers off anyway.

      Major omission no valve clearance and using old intake gasket. Don't fear buying oem Acura parts. Why comprise on quality parts when you bought a quality car. Felpro is ok when oem is not available.
