Indeed! I've actually seen this craft or what ever they want to call it. We seen it 15 years ago just about each night taking off from a base and it was silent to the human ear guessing because we would always hear dogss barking when it would pass over head. We could see it reflecting the stars from the top onto the bottom and it was shaped like a slice of pizza. I could see it well as it was at an angle and to be honest it looked like cheap CGI. We viewed it with binocs made for star gazing but with the naked eye it was hard to see.

I'm in the Reserve, and can tell you that our $70k humvee's are shit. Small mods to outfit a commercial van/truck with docks for army comms gadgetry, some extra torque differential control, and material that the president's car uses would be adequate and leave you with an otherwise far superior vehicle.
Not relevant to the larger discussion but just venting some frustration from experience.
If it were up to me, we'd have universal Healthcare, free college, and UBI before we let our military hemorrhage money into bigger badder tech dicks like this (admittedly really rad) bs.

Stealth applies to both of those things; we just currently are only able to accomplish one of them (as far as we are told).
"Stealth" is not restricted to any one type of detection. You're confusing the meaning of the word with it's most common usage. Using a scent blocker is a type of stealth, wearing quite shoes is a type of stealth, hiding behind a rock is a type of stealth, and on and on.

Modern fighter don't engage in dog fights. Their fights are long range long before they physically see each other. In the sky, not being detected by radar and other systems is actual 'invisibility' rather than being 'transparent'.
I saw this in 2009 in TX around 4:30am and when you see it in the sky all you notice is the design which is a diamond other then that it’s transparent. I took a triple take and til this day I still don’t know exact what it was that I saw but all this makes sense.
I was in the military in the 80's they were working on this tech then.

I've been telling people about this since the mid 90s. I actually saw it flying over the interstate near the California/ Nevada line. To be clear, I initially saw 2 highly advanced military helicopters flying adjacent to each other. My CB went dead silent, and then when the helicopters flew past me, right over my semi, I saw what looked like the afterburners of a jet. Then I looked at what should have been the jet body, but all I could make out was what looked like dinner plates reflecting the horizon on the other side - clouds and mountains in an unbroken view. The CB came back to life a few minutes later, but no one said anything about it. Incredible.

My buddy, and i saw a craft, completely still, and only 100' above flatbush Ave, and Ave S in brooklyn NYC.

Then orange, and green plasma began to move all around it, and it blasted off at the speed of a laser, at an angle without making a sound.

It makes me think, I remember over 10 years ago when LG was showing off their paper thin OLED screens. They could bend the screen over onto itself. Very flexible for a screen. Could you imagine if they had a screen you could heat shrink around an object like a plane or car? Or even a suit to wear? That'd be awesome! I wouldn't be surprised if they already have something like that.
They do! Problem is its prone to damage, the tech they use is a British Design. On top of that they dont just cast the image from behind to appear invisible, if they want you to see a pig flying in the air then thats what they will put on the television screen. Or you may even see Superman or Ironman if they wanted you to!

I distinctly remember reading an article about "cloaking" in a magazine about 20 years ago. There already was a working prototype back then so it's not so crazy to think cloaking is perfected by now.

This is state of the art for Aircraft coatings. I did read about this cloaking technique about 4 years ago where a team had a working tarp or type of cover and one took it outside, crouched and drapped it over himself. It also displayed the surroundings, allowing the illusion of him disappearing.

It would only be good with ground vehicles. Aircraft are targeted automatically by things that don’t even have to see it. (Missiles) Ships are just too big and noisy for this to work, and have exposed crew.
