For real! Also, when he landed the turbines were pointing more towards the camera. How would that not push him away from the camera instead of moving towards it. Another thing, I worked at Dulles Airport for 14 years. I used to watch little water spouts form in front of the engine whenever the tarmac was wet and the engines running. Without going into detail about why that happens, I only mention that because when he fired up those 1000 horsepower turbines his sleeves never pull away from his arm as I would expect.

Only having to worry about calibration and efficiency probably makes this easier than an airplane to make, but with significantly less demand and it took Ironman being made for people to even think about hand jet packs for a while
..plus, giving it an AUTO RETURN/AUTO LAND mode when low fuel/decreased thrust...potential mechanical... Like how drones will auto land when battery is drained to avoid a crash... For instance a "free fall detection/prevention/correction" when pilot failure/pilot incapacitation occures.... Imagine having a blood glucose or other issue suddenly arise and it's hello pancake... and if anyone is below you on the ground: who ordered the sunday cake stack?

Check his other videos. He has this set for mountain rescue use, providing first support for injured hikers etc. He also does a good job of flying to an aicraft carrier going a lot further than 3 feet.
