@geo3106 LOL. A bar is static and has no thrust, therefore no energy opposing your weight. Further, the comment was more about perspective of that energy. Imagine the guys getting this jet pack project wrapped up and came out into the room and said, "well... we're all done here! Now, who'll be the first one to try these out?" You're not raising your hand, I promise.
@@jkilco1 First off, energy does not “oppose” weight, it’s a scalar property that defines the potential for something to do work. Work done is force applied over distance, and here, we’re only interested in the force (since distance will anyways be covered when force moves mass). When you support your body by holding onto a bar next to your waist with your hands straight, you’re bearing the force of gravity on your body. The only two factors that can increase this force are adding mass and vertically accelerating. Therefore in the case of the jetpack, the only time you’d have to bear a small fraction more downward force is while accelerating vertically (as you can see in the video, the acceleration is quite less, and for obvious reasons). The rest of the time without acceleration, the thrust acts like the bar, both providing an upward normal force to support your body. As for being the first to try the jetpack, I’d have many other reasons not to be the one. My main concerns would be mechanical failure, heat, fire, explosions.
@@jkilco1 I will remind you that it is not the energy that opposes your weight, it is the force. The energy enables the force. When you’re hovering in the air, you’re not gaining any potential energy, and all the energy from the fuel is being converted to heat, sound, and radiation out the other side in the exhaust without affecting your arm. Also, when you’re hovering in one place, the jet engines are outputting a thrust equal to the force of your weight, which is the same thing that happens when you support yourself on a bar (the force that prevents you from falling “through” the bar holds you up). It is only when you are accelerating that you experience a slight increase in the force your hand has to bear with the engines.

..plus, giving it an AUTO RETURN/AUTO LAND mode when low fuel/decreased thrust...potential mechanical... Like how drones will auto land when battery is drained to avoid a crash... For instance a "free fall detection/prevention/correction" when pilot failure/pilot incapacitation occures.... Imagine having a blood glucose or other issue suddenly arise and it's hello pancake... and if anyone is below you on the ground: who ordered the sunday cake stack?
If he built this thing, the components and wiring were sketched before hand. After the assemble most likely he tested it out of range. And created a human like propulsion to Carefully balance his weight distribution in the air.

Most amazing great flight but put on your helmet and safe journey bro.✌️
Everytime I think I was born in the right time period. I see these type of tech vids and think DAMN, I hope I can put up a big number age wise so I can see alot of these inventions come into fruition..It really is heading to Minority Report technology 😳
Imagine being born in the late 1800s then and going through electricity, steamships, telephones, aircraft, jet engine, sound recording, movies, penecillin .the atomic age etc.....and in your final year , seing man walk on the moon. Even more amazing.

Damn, you'd think those jets would rip his arms off
Do your arms get ripped off when you support your body with them on a bar? No. Then why would anything happen here?
@@geo3106 I was referring to the energy produced by the jets opposing the arms. Jesus buddy 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If i ever need to fly somewhere thats 3 seconds away ill surely take a loan out for this
😂😂😂😂😂
FUNNY!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I would imagine you need very strong arms for that.💪

I bet the guy filming loved you pointing those jet burners directly at him for so long
There’s this wonderful feature known as the zoom function. Also, I’m sure they discussed beforehand.

lets work on putting the engine fully on the torso, and figure out how to redirect the thrust
..plus, giving it an AUTO RETURN/AUTO LAND mode when low fuel/decreased thrust...potential mechanical...
That invisible helmet is the real technological gold mine. Why is no one talking about this breakthrough!!

Cần cải tiến thêm để bay liên tục từ 180ph, ăn toàn hơn, bay cao hơn, và có thể mang thêm theo đc 30-50kg
They forget to tell you how there's a lot of finance behind this making it seem like oh he just MacGyver his own little jetpack
Theoretically you can tho soo theirs tht
This guy sounds like a Delta flight about to takeoff😂
I'd love to see that guy get straight up in the air turn his hands backwards and fly like Superman with all 5 jet engines pushing him forwards!
That would be kickass if they made a vtol version of this suit that has front thrusters to keep you stable during vertical flight
It’s amazing 😻 amazing 🤩
Dam 4 hair dryers ,well im trying this tomorrow an jumping off my roof 😂
Most def!!!!!!

Imagine how scary it was to test at first. Not having any idea if it was going to blow up or something crazy like that!
Engineers are better than you think
If he built this thing, the components and wiring were sketched before hand.
After the assemble most likely he tested it out of range. And created a human like propulsion to Carefully balance his weight distribution in the air.
