Hello Aihsan, we do have a free-online program called the 7-Day Strength Camp. In it, we spend an entire week going over important strength training information as it pertains to MS. Wishing you the best =) www.msworkouts.com/strengthcamp
All of the fitness professionals that do something focusing on MS are amazing!! I do go to the gym but only on the weekends, as it is too much on me to go on work days. There are some days that my body won't, or my MS, won't cooperate with my plans for the gym. I have been looking for something to do at home and stretches for when everything is tight and/ or when I'm having spasms. I joined the gym in hopes of delaying disability and regaining strength I've lost; needless to say, I feel discouraged when I'm not able to go. Thank you for thinking of the MS community!! ❤💪👍
@Parker Michel, hey! We completely agree. Being deliberate, measured, and progressively challenging targeted areas of the body from head to toe leads to increased capacities of your body and its systems! Have an excellent day and let us know if we can help assist you in any way.
Hi Monique kirkpatrick, glad you're enjoying the channel! Keep showing up and giving your best effort during these exercises. The important thing is to write down your results and make sure you're getting in good nutrition to help your muscles to get stronger. Thanks for stopping by :-)

Hi E W, if your neck hurts during the crunch then it's likely because your neck is trying to help you during the exercise - which we want to avoid! You can try placing your hand(s) underneath your head to support it. Let your neck and head sink & relax into your hand(s). Focus on crunching, leading the movement with your TORSO, not your neck and head. You can also allow your gaze to wander up towards the ceiling - this will help to keep you from using your neck & head in the crunching motion. You should NEVER feel pain while exercising. Hi there. These exercises can apply to neuro myelitis optica spectrum disorder. It was known as Devics disease for decades and was always thought to be a rare but nasty form of MS. Now they know it is a separate condition. The exercises should help I assume with us.
Hi @Marc Maclntyre, hope all is well with you and yours! SteadyPace® exercise is extremely safe and effective for all individuals that have been cleared to exercise by their physician. It is low impact, just the right intensity to prompt change, and we take in to account the exercise environment (cool, low humidity, and staying hydrated) so that individuals with neurological impedances get the very best results out of the efforts they put in! Please let us know how it goes, your feedback is welcomed and valued! Have a magnificent day!
Hello Carolyn! Hope all is well. Torso and abdominal strength is an important aspect of balance. Not only does muscular strength give you the ability to control movements better but in case you do lose your balance due to other factors such as inner eye issues you are much more likely to be able to control your body. Hello Leigh! Hope you and yours are doing wonderful. Great question and this is one that actually comes up often when challenging yourself regarding Ab Exercise. Your neck begins to get fatigued and tries to take over once the abs start to fatigue. The body starts to try and use your head as help in adding momentum to the equation of the exercise. First try to simply tilt your head back so that your eyes gaze towards the ceiling and your spine remains in a "neutral" position. If this doesn't alleviate the discomfort you can place your hands behind your head to add support to it while continuing the flexion and extension movement with your torso (AKA allowing the abs to continue to exercise). If this does not alleviate the discomfort simply stop the exercise and record how far you got before feeling the discomfort and having to stop. Listening to our bodies and simply taking what it will give us with our best effort and attention to proper form, recovering, then reapplying will lead to progression! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your journey to strength and please give us feedback regarding how it goes!

Hello sir can I have some exercise by which I can improve my walking ability Ican’t sit on floor it will be difficult to get up Can I do these exercises on bed
Hi Larry, we would suggest some type of quad stretch, either standing or lying down - when it comes to quads, there aren't a lot of different types of stretches available, but the standing or lying quad stretch is what we recommend to our members who have tight quads.
Hi Renad! Please stop if you begin to feel any pain. Do not exercise again until the pain goes away and make sure you reach out to your PT/OT or doctor about the pain before continuing exercising
Hey Matic! Each exercise in this particular video lasts 1:30. They are metabolic exercises which are designed to be easy on your joints. We typically we have a clock on display for you to follow, but this was made before we created the clock feature!
Thank you! I'm not a work out kind of person really, but these exercises looks so helpful. being inside all the time becomes dreadful and worsen . I can't wait to see the results. Also, it would be great if you make a video for bladder's essues
Hi Kheira Alem, glad you enjoyed the video! Meaningful exercise is never fun, but it is so good for our health. Keep us posted on how you're doing and thanks for the suggestion regarding future videos.
Hello Nimisha, we hope all is well. We suggest visiting with your physician regarding the specifics of your myopathy. Generally speaking, strengthening exercises done at physical therapy and supplemented exercise such as MSworkouts.com have been successful in increasing participants balance and strength. Keep up the effort and desire to be as strong as you can be!
Thank you very much.. Really inspired by this video but need to ask that i am an ms female patient aged 26 yrs , I only have difficulties with balance which is being an obstacle to live an happy life can u suggest few tips as my ms was diagnosed 5 years back and i was injected as well but its been 5 to 6 yrs nw and m still hving problems in balance plz plz suggest something???
Hi Aihsan, the muscles that contribute to balance are going to be your quads, hamstrings, glutes, and core. So any exercise that is targeting these muscles will be helpful. Check out our free strength camp, that comes with mobility exercises. Or if you are looking for something more extensive, try signing up to our membership for a month, where we have weekly-updated routines and mobility programs. www.msworkouts.com/
Hi Todd Perry! Follow along with Jeff as he guides you through the 1:30 minute steadypace exercises. We generally encourage you to perform this sequence 2-3 times a week and write down your results!
Namaste! I was having trouble with walking since 2004.The problems increased, then was diagnosed as having MS in 2013.Cannot lift left foot/leg, cannot walk without a walker.have balance problem. Doing leg extensions, hip bridge, other exercises under the supervision of a trained physio. Also doing stationary cycling regularly.I want to regain my balance and get rid of the walker.I am overweight,so hope to lose weight by walking! Is it possible? I am 75, female, from India.
Hey Star Cat, bicycling is great cardiovascular exercise, but it is not for gaining strength. We recommend consulting with your physician or PT about incorporating strength training exercises that are attuned to you. At MSworkouts.com we do have a guided membership program that has entire entry-level classes and series that are likely attuned to your level. Speak to your medical practitioner about it, and let them tell you whether it would be a good fit for you or not.
Stay after it Pam! Just focusing on challenging your body from session to session - that is the key. You're doing it! Proud of you. Effort will lead to results. Have a magnificent evening.
Useful but he makes no mention for advanced PPMS people who only have one sided movement/ strength. I feel comfortable adapting ( like lying on my bed and exercising) because I can no longer get on the floor. I wonder how people with far less body awareness of their limitations know how to recognize what is safe and what is too much muscle fatigue that triggers spasms.Still useful to watch.
While I don't have MS, I have had three strokes resulting in foot drop, loss of balance, and cramping. Cramping is a constant problem especially at night when going to sleep. Any suggestions?
Hi Kevin, I hope you are doing well. Cramping can be caused by many different factors such as mineral imbalances in your body, dehydration, as well as other neurological impedances / impairments. We would suggest hydrating adequately and visiting with your physician about other possible approaches that are personalized to you and your physiological state. We would also suggest if you have been released to exercise by your physician to do so. Try out our free Strength Camp! Have an awesome day and stay after giving effort. www.msworkouts.com/strengthcamp
Hi Shruti Ghate, if your neck hurts while performing the crunch then try placing your hand(s) underneath your head to support it. I showed these exercises to my physiotherapist yesterday. She said it would not help to improve my balance. They are good but not for the balance specifically.
Hey there, I’m a member at msworkouts.com but was browsing the channel for more tips on core strength and balance. The exercises in this video are ideal but I suffer with terrible vertigo and cannot lie flat on my back, I need to support my head at almost a 45 degree angle or I get EXTREMELY nauseated and dizzy. Could you suggest some modifications to the crunch and hip bridge, because I’d really like to get my core toned as well as improve my balance. Great resource 👍💜☺️
Hi Jen! =D Since you are already a part of the membership, we would suggest performing other workouts we have on there that hit the same muscle groups. For example, for core, utilize the Weak Core I Series (which allows you to target the core completely from a seated position). In place of the Hip Bridge, we would suggest performing the Kickback, Leg Curl, and Plank Swim. All these exercises will target the same muscles groups, but not from the lying-flat-on-the-floor position. I will provide the links below. Let me know if you have any other questions! Hope this helps =) tv.msworkouts.com/programs/weak-core-1-exercise-series tv.msworkouts.com/programs/kickback-standing-series tv.msworkouts.com/programs/leg-curl-standing-series tv.msworkouts.com/programs/plank-swim-standing-series

Hey Nancy! Our physical location is 1 hour from nolanville! Our MS clients see us once or twice a week and get great results! We would be more than happy to offer you a 1 hour no-cost consultation plus a 30 minute session also at no cost for you to try us out. Just reach out to team@msworkouts.com whenever you are in TX. In the meantime, if you would like a online personal training experience for MS with our team than please visit our website at www.msworkouts.com We are grateful for your comments and are looking forward to continue helping you out.
Hey Nancy, a typical workout at Practical Fitness is from $50-$75 depending on commitment. For folks living with MS we extend our lowest rate of $50 per session. The sessions are 100% private, 1000 sq. ft of state of the art equipment, just you and the trainer. Even if you cannot continue after the free session you should come by anyways just so we can meet you. Since we understand that not everyone can afford those costs we created an online exercise video service called MSWorkouts.com Their you can find 100+ exercises that increase mobility, improve your sleep and add strength to your body. If you're serious about exercise and aren't near or can't afford our physical locations then MSworkouts.com is a great place for you to get the training you need.
Hi Gulshan! You should repeat each rep 4-6 times. However, if you can only do one or two reps, that's okay! Take what your body can give you and write down your results so that next to you perform the exercise - you can improve your results. Thanks for your question and please keep us updated on your progress!
Praying for everyone going through this journey, bless your souls let's stay strong💪😇

So good! Why does my neck always hurt with crunches?

You can try placing your hand(s) underneath your head to support it. Let your neck and head sink & relax into your hand(s). Focus on crunching, leading the movement with your TORSO, not your neck and head. Can’t do ab crunch. I feel it in my neck rather than abs, i.e. my neck gets tired much faster than ab. Do you have any tips? Thanks a lot in advance.

What's the best stretch for spasticity in the quads
Hi Larry, we would suggest some type of quad stretch, either standing or lying down - when it comes to quads, there aren't a lot of different types of stretches available, but the standing or lying quad stretch is what we recommend to our members who have tight quads.
Hi there I did some of these exercises for the first time yesterday but woke up with lower back pain today is this normal or should I stop.
Hi Renad! Please stop if you begin to feel any pain. Do not exercise again until the pain goes away and make sure you reach out to your PT/OT or doctor about the pain before continuing exercising
Sir iam P.Muthukumaran MS Patient. Leg attack. Hip Attack. Left leg not strength and right leg not move.pls solution sir.
So how long does each of these three exercises last?

Hi, I have starting for myopathy. I have balance issues and not able to lift my leg while climbing steps. Will it good for those things

Can I do pushups if I have ms? I mean is it a risk or something?
How long should we do this
Hi Todd Perry!
Due to MS, my body can't do any of this exercise. Do you think do exercise with an indoor bike would help me?
Hey Star Cat, bicycling is great cardiovascular exercise, but it is not for gaining strength. We recommend consulting with your physician or PT about incorporating strength training exercises that are attuned to you. At MSworkouts.com we do have a guided membership program that has entire entry-level classes and series that are likely attuned to your level. Speak to your medical practitioner about it, and let them tell you whether it would be a good fit for you or not.
Not enough strength to lift both legs without holding on- will have to work on this goal.
Stay after it Pam! Just focusing on challenging your body from session to session - that is the key. You're doing it! Proud of you. Effort will lead to results. Have a magnificent evening.
Don't give up!!!!! Keep going, it does really help. I had a lot of muscle atrophy, in the beginning of PT, now I am stronger 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🙏🙏🙏

Brilliant, thank you...brenda
Hi Brenda Norcott, glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for stopping by our channel and we hope you're doing well :-)
My neck pains while doing this. Abs, diaphragm breathing all ok, but neck is where i break down, even after 30 sec.
Hi Shruti Ghate, if your neck hurts while performing the crunch then try placing your hand(s) underneath your head to support it.
Thanks for stopping by our channel and we hope that you're doing well!
Does it cost alot? I have Ms limited on money?
Hi Linda! We hope you're doing well and staying safe. Please go to www.msworkouts.com to take a look at our flexible payment plans. If you have any questions or require any financial assistance please reach out to team@msworkouts.com to see how we can help!

Glad you enjoyed the video, Charles! Keep us posted on how you're doing
Hope this helps =)

In the meantime, if you would like a online personal training experience for MS with our team than please visit our website at www.msworkouts.com
We are grateful for your comments and are looking forward to continue helping you out.
wonderful i would love to ! and how much it will cost after that ? i will check it out on website
Could I do the 2 exercises on the bed please? 😊
Drop foot wont let me do this with left leg🤦♀️
How many times should each exercise be repeated
Hi Gulshan! You should repeat each rep 4-6 times. However, if you can only do one or two reps, that's okay! Take what your body can give you and write down your results so that next to you perform the exercise - you can improve your results. Thanks for your question and please keep us updated on your progress!
Lifting up hand!!!
