Hello! Thanks for the review! A 16GB card will work for SD1 but it has to be high capacity, like sandisk or samsung, the ones that come with the system won't work
Either this is HORRIBLE FIRMWARE or my download was corrupted. My GENESIS GAMES ARE BLUE and the RETROARCH MENU IS UPSIDE DOWN! This is based on the “RETROARCH32” performance, as while the “RETROARCH” version seems to work fine at first, the menu is screwed up and limited and I can’t even see shaders which makes it unusable (and for some reason Retroarch says “arkos” though a quick google search says otherwise) Also: stock firmware had Saturn playing just fine, but this says “switch to nobios” okay… nope doesn’t work. Guess I will take it back home again and break open the file system to find Retroarchs system folder and slap on my own Bios.
So this is currently the best option we have right now for retro fighting games huh? I wasn't a Sega kid but I'm still heavily interested in this device.
Does anyone knows if the custom firmware has the capacity to play video? The r36s has a folder for videos, and it does play them, but when I tried with this one, no such folder exist, and I have not found a way to do so.
Testing Beta 9, so far Saturn runs Amazing compared to stock, scraper works great, can’t figure how to advance options for a couple of games (some run better in other cores)
I seem to get a black screen on both PC Engine CD and Saturn Games... I grabbed BIOSes in agreement with RetroArch's System and everything.. hmm any ideas?
I just got it and I love it, I’ve been playing for hours but I can’t get it to play mega cd games. With the 2 sd cards that came with it, I can see in the megacd folder mega cd games but on the emulators selection or the RetroArch listings mega cd isn’t there to choose. Is there extra step that I need to do? If anyone can help I’ll be appreciated
I have a question about Retro Arena. I'm trying to save my button configurations for fighting games like Street Fighter, when I exit the game and come back it doesn't save my settings on my Anbernic Arc-D. Do you have any tips?
Just tried to install this last night but it doesn't seem to want to work for me, i just get a blank screen. Do i need an extra sd card for games as i was only trying it with one to see if it would boot up. Any advice PCN?
how do you get it to scrape your games... on stock firmware it automatically popped up all my games upon boot. with this custom firmware, nothing pops up and i dont have a clue what im doing 😔

Best to ask that question on the discord. I may be wrong, but from what I understand OTA updates are available with the betas. These push small changes, going up a version required re-flashing.

I can't disagree with you, the aspect ratio is incorrect. I'm glad you noticed it. The CFW will keep improving as time passes, so hopefully, better performance at 4:3 will be with us soon. On a side note, I only use this for CPS1-3 and other arcade games, simply because the controls are awesome. I wish you a great weekend 👍

Excellent video! Do the 6 front buttons work correctly for cps1-3 fighting games, without having to map the controls to the entire system?
You have to remap the buttons, unless the latest version addresses this.
@ricardo_Original
In the stock firmware, yes.
the games play upside-down on arc-d arc-s what did I do wrong?
I downloaded version 3 and wrote the image to 32Gb microsd. But the arc s just will not boot up with it. Just blank screen.
