I bought the S model because I don't need the touchscreen or Android for the games I like to play. The transparent grey is also my favourite color version.
I got the Arc D because I wanted that all black genesis color and the ARC S are see through colors. Wish they gave us the same color options across the board, but i guess having a bit of extra ram and android (even though I will never use android) is a good extra option.
Yeah, would be nice if they had the same color patterns on both models. But they probably want to differentiate them a bit. And yes that extra ram and Android is nice for that extra couple of bucks.
It will boot to Android without taking a SD card out, just hold the F key on boot to get to Android

so weird question I’m planning on getting this but strictly for Saturn as the stopping point which one do you recommend?
They are both almost the same. Both models should be good enough for Saturn games. However the ARC-D also has Android installed, which is nice if you want to tinker a bit more.
I'll get the RG ARC to watch hunter x hunter 1999 in youtube (hunterxhunter 1999 is 4:3)

@@LilbrodaIt plays 2D Saturn games very well, I also played House of the Dead for about 20 minutes and that was great. I think its going to be very game-to-game how they run, with most 2D games running fine

No. This thing caps out around Dreamcast and some PSP. You have to look at higher end models for those kind of games. Try looking at the Retroud Pocket 4 Pro.
Can play sega saturn games normally?
Some Saturn games do work pretty good. You can see it in the video of ETA Prime
You didn’t actually do anything with the arc-d, why get it if you aren’t going to look at the different option on it versus the arc-s
