I know it's a cliché to talk about someone or something being the most under rated whatever but Phil Selway has got to be one of the most under rated drummers there's ever been.
Man, there are like many and many underrated b-sides and other stuff this band did, imo the most underrated thing they did is amnesiac b-sides like kinetic, worrywort, sounds of orgy, nobody knows those beatiful songs exist
The way they can make a song like this sound just as ethereal live is amazing! Is it just me or is this song heroin for the ears?? And that bass line!...
Oh dude, so with you best part of such a fantastic song especially at the end. I tell you if I was a member of this band I would non-stop tour because I would be loving every single instant of playing such awesome music, night after frigging night-NEVER get old.
Man whenever im feeling down or going thru something or its just a Rainy messed up Day like Today this song is one of the ones that just soothes me ,my soul and my MIND...
Is this one of the best improvised live performances of a Radiohead song? There are countless brilliant examples to choose from and I have recently seem them in Berlin at Lollapalooza where they were utterly brilliantly amazing. But this performance and the eay it builds through phases of guitar, keyboard and drums is just magical, this i is Radiohead at their brilliant best.
i got to hear this song when they came to mexico on the In Rainbows tour. I almost cried. I couldn´t believe the high quality of their live performances. It just sounded perfectly elegant and neat. I love the jazzy bass and guitar. It is amazing.
Quite amazing how they can produce a live output which is as good as, if not better than the studio version. In fact Im sure its better than the studio version as this is extraordinary.
Love it when Thom changes a word to a similar sounding lyric in a repeating refrain. Often he does this live and it's not recorded in the official lyrics, like here: "@3:44 We're gonna crack your little skulls... @3:58 we're gonna crack your little souls." And more recently with The Smile, during the live performances of A Hairdryer, when he sings: "Look at all the pretty lights... look at all the pretty lies..." (possibly about our world leaders - the "blue-eyed fox" - constantly distracting us from the truth)!
Now i got it.. I FINALY GOT IT WITH THIS SONG ! ... something i've never be able to do before.. LOVE IT ! :D there's always good surprises listening again and again the ''old'' ones of radiohead, recently the same happend with ''The Gloaming'' live version.. That's why it's the best band in the world :D
I just needed to share one thing....back in 2004 when I was writing my final exam for my B.A at university (english lit and stuff) this song was playing in my head for some reason for the whole frickin time and....I guess....I think....it helped me write some interpretations of some mid ages poems...can;t explain it but it worked. btw I passed ok, even made it to M.A:)
seen radiohead so many times, but not lately, wish to see him Tom Yorke, and his band larging it again soon, anywhere near Holland please, in other words one of the best live shows I have seen in my life. But Radiohead has touched my heart!!!!!!!
i dont know about u but the song is almost insane in nature the guitar riff just makes you feel like your being driven insane its so aggressive and droney ITS AMAZING!
@Exeron91 Yeah, I find that amazing too. Three of the five members have released solo work, and Ed is apparently working on some music of his own, so it'll soon be four out of five. And that's astounding, really. So many members of the same band making their own music (and they're not all orthodox solo artists - Jonny writes film scores and Thom explores the depths of electronic music). Kind of conveys the abundance of talent in Radiohead.
I know it's a cliché to talk about someone or something being the most under rated whatever but Phil Selway has got to be one of the most under rated drummers there's ever been.
Yeah, Phil’s a fucking monster
The drum at 2:09 is amazing!!!
Es potente, profundo y bellamente oscuro.
Catártico...
The Buddha of the Beat.
Ed knows this song should have been 9 or 10 minutes long!
Optimistic, Dollars and Cents, and The Tourist are quite possible the best Radiohead songs everyone overlooks.
Can I add Morning Bell (Kid A version) to that? Or isn't it overlooked?
Myxomatosis
Can I add you and whose army?
Man, there are like many and many underrated b-sides and other stuff this band did, imo the most underrated thing they did is amnesiac b-sides like kinetic, worrywort, sounds of orgy, nobody knows those beatiful songs exist
@@okaberintaro3936 Amnesiac had the best B-Sides, second place is King of Limbs.
I adore Ed's backing vocals in this! They sound perfect.
*INTENSE TAMBOURINEING*
TAMBOURINE-ING INTENSIFIES
All is intense...
Tambourineing in tents
I watched it in 144p, but it was still high-quality.
quality comment mate cheers
I laughed out loud
2:56 Ed's guitar, the drums, that bassline, the synths and Thom's soaring vocals on "let me out of here"... just pure eargasm.
Súper marcado el bajo y eso la hace una melodía poderosa
OMG...they take my breathe away. radiohead is passion and perfection.
Best song on Amnesiac
Maybe. It depends on what mood I’m in. If I’m feeling excited, I Might Be Wrong. Sad: Pyramid Song. Batman Mood: DAC
The way they can make a song like this sound just as ethereal live is amazing! Is it just me or is this song heroin for the ears?? And that bass line!...
The bass line is pure magic man.
I could hear this song 4ever... floating is space..
serious though, music has a long relationship with drugs
i wonder how accurate your statement is
Yes, That bass line and the overall dark climate make it Radiohead's most Joy Division-esque song ! One of my favorites!
I wish they'd play this live more often
WE ARE DOLLARS & CENTS 💵🪙
BEST BAND EVER
saying this while having Red Hot's ablum cover as your profile picture is confusing
DEFINITELY in my top 3.
34103070674978532046 of course they are
HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
everyone's going on about Colin's bass... which is awesome and all, but am I the only one who loves Ed's guitar in this?
stbr68 it was the first thing I missed when I heard the recorded version
Ed is so underated. He is outstanding in this gem of a track
Oh dude, so with you best part of such a fantastic song especially at the end. I tell you if I was a member of this band I would non-stop tour because I would be loving every single instant of playing such awesome music, night after frigging night-NEVER get old.
What about that tambourine?
THE BASSLINE IS SO AWSOME I WANNA DANCE
Radioheads songs take forever to get into, although once you get them, you love them.
Even The King Of Limbs is turning into one of my favorites!
maketimmycry The king of limbs is such a love/hate album with everyone
if you haven't already, check out the TKOL live versions in the basement. Awesome stuff! (Also "Bloom" on the Colbert show!)
When you listen to TKOL from the basement...
It's like everything changes
I don't understand hate toward amnesiac, pretty "ok" album with unique vibes
Man whenever im feeling down or going thru something or its just a Rainy messed up Day like Today this song is one of the ones that just soothes me ,my soul and my MIND...
Michael Crosby Amnesiac is the ultimate rainy day album
takes me to another world... Absolutely brilliant
THAT.FUCKING.BASS.

Damn son! That bass line, and the subject matter, fucking awesome...
What a tune, one of my favourites from Kid A/Amnesiac.
Love the strings on the album version
just love that guitar riff ed is playing, so hypnotic
I fucking love this live version
Man Colin greenwood is a genius
I see many people talking about Ed and Colin, but the drumming here is superb, Phil steals the show.
Fucking love this song and this version of it.
Ed's backing vocals is brilliant on this one! And I agree with "degree7", this is the most underrated album of all time, period
I think this song has the most unique delivery I've ever heard from Thom, especially the album version, he sounds like a scared little boy
The constant changes between Major and Minor are amazig. Drums, bassline and Thom's singing - absolutely amazing. Great song! Thank you, Radiohead.
Sounds sooo much more impactful than the official version
Phil and Collin own this fucking song
yeah you could say that this song is... Phil Collin's ---WORST PUN EVER
btw it's COLIN
One of their most intense shows, in an intense period of their lives!
Masterpiecing in action!
Phil's break is the best part for me... I would like a little bit more of that!!!

So beautiful, so cool!
I adore the bass and drums in this! Brings me back to my drum and bass and jungle days in Peckham ;-)
Amazing song, so underrated

This song was so ahead!
Thom should have kept this hair style. He looks exceptionally good.
this is my favorite radiohead song. so interesting..
Just so good
This is the Radiohead era I miss the most. To each their own, honestly, but I wish they would have never left the Kid A/Amnesiac style.
Awesome to behold
i really like this song....
terrific!
THE best version
Radiohead sempre atual
you hit the nail exactly on its head!
Could easily have been adapted into a Bond theme.
Hollywood picked Sam Smith for Spectre, figure that one out, Radioheads version was awesome.
Man of war too
People say that like it's a good thing, and it's not.
If this ain't the most Radiohead song out there
Now i got it.. I FINALY GOT IT WITH THIS SONG ! ... something i've never be able to do before.. LOVE IT ! :D
there's always good surprises listening again and again the ''old'' ones of radiohead, recently the same happend with ''The Gloaming'' live version..

This song is godly.
the best band of the worl.. :) (y)
aGREED
I bump this song all the time in my car!
Radiohead is one of the few bands where I enjoy their live performances of their songs more than their album versions.
I wish i still had a voice like that
4:22 just wow
Ed 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Funky, dark and modal. What could be better?
My favourite Mogwai album
I just needed to share one thing....back in 2004 when I was writing my final exam for my B.A at university (english lit and stuff) this song was playing in my head for some reason for the whole frickin time and....I guess....I think....it helped me write some interpretations of some mid ages poems...can;t explain it but it worked.

@YorkeTchock
My point exactly! Every album is like a treasure, you just need to really dig for it!

The bass line and drums remind me of Massive Attack
