I took an old worn out quadrajet off of my grandads old 76 Scottsdale and replaced it with a Edelbrock carb he found. It really made me sad nowhere near the howl of that old Rochester
They were something special for Big cars. I remember being a kid in my friends Oldsmobile regency 98 they had the 403 it would go down to 2nd and needed one tire fire start to happen of course we might have added it with the flipped air cleaner lit and a glass pack off the y but it was fun, slow or not
I had a 77 cutlass supreme with a 350 olds and q jet. It sounded good when the secondaries opened and not to mention it had duals with glass packs. It was throaty

Q-Jet is a great carb, when adjusted and maintained correctly. This is not one.
just to piss a random person off and to get that good sound i wanna take a datsun 240z and stick an old chevy motor in with a quadrajet.
Thats a older generation rochester carb. Not you newer quadrajet thats why it whines and moans.
