King Trapical it loud AF !! I have one on my 2000 5.3 Silverado, it might be a bit much in a hatch back style like the camaro tbh, you might wanna consider the super 44 which is just one up from the 10
The old Thrush mufflers were great sounding too. The packing typically blew out of them in about 90 days or less. I couldn't stand the drone of them today though. Hooker makes some decent modern mufflers in their Aerochamber and Max Flow models. Check them out first. That is the way a real muscle car muffler is supposed to sound.
The best video that show the different muffles are. I got the super 44 muffler to go on my 07 king ranch 5.4L V8. The kit I bought comes with dual mandrel 2.5/3.5 pips. Chrome dual 18" long 3" wide rolled tips. Video coming soon, very soon.
I bought a brand new 2002 Mustang GT convertible in July 2002. A month later I put on a set of 40 series Delta Flow. They sounded great. What's crazy is they're still on the car in 2018, and, they're still in good shape, along with the original stainless steel pipes. Has 70K miles on it. 15.5 years of use has changed the sound to very aggressive, which I like. I started it up to move it for a contractor to do some garage door work. The guy immediately said it sounded like I had some badass stuff under the hood. Nope. Just a K&N cold air intake & my 15 1/2 year old Delta Flow 40s.
Lucas White well depends how you want your car to sound do you want your car to sound Aggressive as in loud or just have a nice mild noice but still have that tone when you press the gas?? And the try checking how many inches your pipes are usually they are like 3inches or 2.5inches
I just want a good deep but raspy kind of sound. I have the Super 44 on my 86 Cougar, but I have a small air leak. Have never bought an exhaust for a tuner.
I got the Super 10 on my 2010 Mustang v6. It sounds awesome. I placed one muffler which has one inlet and two outlets in the middle of the car with two straight pipes to get louder.
I have Series 40 mufflers on my '73 Nova, and its very, very loud - just the way I like it. I also have Series 40 mufflers on my 2012 Challenger R/T, and its loud, but not as loud as I'd like it. By no fault of Flomaster, as the catalytic converter's act like mufflers by themselves. Because of this, I'm going to put Series 10's on my MOPAR.
5.3 vortec. also, update on the exhaust. I now have true dual straight pipes with stock cats, with a H pipe welded in and 45 degree tips. My truck exhaust is finally satisfactory. It sounds really good. It's not overbearingly loud with the crossover pipe. I definitely reccomend straight pipes to anyone that isn't happy with flowmaster
Flowmaster needs to start stamping the muffler name and model number on their mufflers. I have two i bought a while back. But i cant figure out wich model are they.
possiblyunknown Of course, just makes me wonder what kind of tone it will have. My car had too much of a sloppy and ricer noise to it with straight catless pipes.
love this video. only thing u left out thou was wide open throttle, wouldve like to hear the differences but owell. probably gona go with the super 10.
There we go, another clueless Ford owner of a F150 loving on the Blow Masters. I would love to run you with my Lil Red Express, just smoooooke your little butt for kicks! LOl
If you want loud go super 10. Hushpower sound great after they break in as well. I have original 40 series on my truck and wish I would have bought the 10
I had flowmaster 40s installed on my stroker 437 with 2.5 pipes with a x pipe and they seem very mild. The tone is distinct but very close to stock with the pipes ran all the way out the back
B1ue Hawk leaving it stock could mean factory straight pipes. as you get older you will learn the value of a decent conversation while driving an old car with an old friend.
aftermarket mufflers can save on weight and allow for more airflow on a modified engine, just like the rest of the exhaust system. Modified cars need to keep their noise down to stay street legal, so you pick a muffler big enough to keep the thing legal while increasing airflow and shedding weight as much as possible. As for cars that are purely on track and not used on the road, a small muffler while having very little effect on airflow and weighing fuck all, will save the driver from going deaf over time. Spending a track day in a straight piped car can get pretty painful on the ears after a couple hours
I drive a lowered car that scrapes on fallen leaves. The door handles are shaved off and there's a turbo whistle on my $30 muffler. It runs on octane 200 fuel and does 0-62 in under 17 seconds . A ground breaking record if you ask me.
well, i ended up putting a flowmaster super 10 in place of my stock muffler. The sound level is really dissapointing. I expected it to be pretty damn loud, but it has no pop, isn't loud, and mellows out quickly. I have a buddy with a original 40 and y pipe with tips, and it sounds pretty much the same to me. I really am not sure why my super 10 isn't that loud. I've heard some people say there is a break in time, but I've had it on for probably two months now and it sounds about the same.
i got a delta 50 for my 95 del sol and with a fully welded system and a resonator it is LOUD, but not that annoying loud you get with typical civics. i love the way it sounds but the delta 50 sounds more like dual resonators/glasspacks.
i wouldve bought a magnaflow but because they dont have a video like this i dont know how they sound like. i saw this video and i found the perfect muffle and it is soo nice
Send me a link to hear it when you get it done. Im going to post a sound clip compairing what my truck sounded like dualed out at a 45, and now since i dumped it before the axel.
Would be great to have a comparison video of not so highly modified pick up trucks. I'd bet stock pick up trucks make up a huge chunk of yall's market.
Had Super 10s on a cammed LS1 Camaro and it was the best sounding (and loudest) car around. You could hear it literally miles away. It would drive you crazy in long trips though. Not to mention it was turned down about the middle of the car. Lol. Was worth it tho.
Dave L. It has to do with maximizing the savaging effect. By using either a X or H pipe the exhaust banks are able to equal the pressure between each other. However by using a X pipe you can use the speed and pulse separation between each bank to help accelerate and pull the other banks exhaust out of the chamber instead of only relying on the pressure of the cylinder forcing it out. Do you always need to run one or the other on dual exhaust? No, for years and year true dual was the way to go. In some instances an H pipe is better of for an engine than the X pipe but that is a whole different series of research that I doubt will fit into this youtube comment box. Hope this help.
i have a super 40 on my 2010 gmc sierra and it just sounds noticable. i didnt want a drag sound like the super 10 cuz it wouldnt sound like a truck then. i may try the super 44 next time for a little more rumble tho.
What does the Super 40 Dual inlet/Dual Outlet look like on the inside..? Will it also function as a 'cross-over' to equalize flow pressures..? I am planning to use this on a basically Stock Mustang 3.9 V6...along with adding long-tube headers w/3" collectors, into Hi-flow CATs with 2.5" outlets, then into the Flowmaster... will I need to also add HushPower's as 'resonators' to prevent droning and excessive interior sound..?
I so want one for my 2014 RAM 1500. Just trying to decide what model goes best with a 5.7L Hemi. I'm leaning towards the Super 44. I'm only about 15 miles from West Sacramento. Can I order one from there?
Im sure they can ship to just about anywhere! You can give Flowmaster a call if you'd like at (707)544-4761, they can help you decide what's best for your truck and/or needs.
+matthew balg I heard the loudest Prius ever the other day. It was stuck under the rear bell housing of a 69 Chevelle SS going down the highway and sparks & bloody human parts were flying everywhere. That was one fuckin wildass Prius I tell ya!
ok i know this is super random and has nothing to do with the video but i came across this with a random google search and recognized the street were they were test driving the car and i happen to work right across from there
Wish you'd do this test with a more modern car that doesn't have a V8 engine. Want to find a good sounding exhaust for an Accord 2.0T that has a nice low tone instead of the typical ricer sound.
yeah, the cats will hinder the sound, but not to much. if your worried about it, just get a catless h pipe and you'll be able to hear your car way before you see it.
Yes, the cats will soften the sound. Best thing to do is search up some sound clips online or give Flowmaster a call so they can get you the product with the specific sound you are looking for.
I wish flowmaster support knew anything about their product. I spent 20 minutes talking to someone who was probably sitting on their couch as well looking at your website reading the description. Or maybe someone can tell me if the dbx can be used on a v8 and not sound like crap? I only see it on small honda civics and your description says "4/6 CYL Engine Classic Muscle Car Late Model Muscle Car Street Rod Street/Strip Truck/SUV" Unless you guys are talking about the oh so common 4/6cylinder muscle cars and street rods it would seem these mufflers are for pretty much any vehicle.
At wide open throttle, the conversation should be over anyway.
I got a Flowmaster Super 44 on my 2010 Prius
Hey good idea now it will sound like there are a few extra hamsters on the wheel
+David Roberts 😂😂😂😂👍
that muffler weighs more than your Prius does.......
Yes, a Prius would need all the help it can get to appear macho, but I doubt this muffler was able to do it!
sranjesuper Lmao should have went with the outlaw. 😄😄😄
I got super 10 on my chevy tahoe..i rather hear my exhaust than ppl yapping anyway.
i have a 2004 5.3 z71 and i think im going to get the super 10. how is it?
King Trapical it loud AF !! I have one on my 2000 5.3 Silverado, it might be a bit much in a hatch back style like the camaro tbh, you might wanna consider the super 44 which is just one up from the 10
okay thank you!
that 40 and 44 is the way to go. NICE.
you guys should make a video like this but for trucks
Super 10: "Conversation will have to wait." ...Get in. Shut up. Hang on.
Lol u damn right
Great Presentation, no filler, all facts and great explanations. Great Job!
+B Stow Thanks for watching :)
Imo the best sounding mufflers were the Hush Power Pro Series & the Super 10 muffler. Badass!
The super 10 series is the best for a real muscle car.
Thank you ! Seth Miles
Do you deliver to Taiwan? I like to purchase a super 10 for my Chevy
I've got a 40s series running into duals on a 5.9 360 second gen Dodge Ram and it sounds phenomenal, its a real head turner for sure!
Nice!
Great info video. I wish more muffler companies would do this.
Thanks for watching! :)

Pro series sounds unique. Like it
Just ordered the Pro Serious that sounds just perfect !
Nice! Thanks for watching!
Series* lmao oops
Do you think the Pro Series would sound okay on a tuner? I have an 02 Toyota Spyder mr2
Lucas White well depends how you want your car to sound do you want your car to sound Aggressive as in loud or just have a nice mild noice but still have that tone when you press the gas?? And the try checking how many inches your pipes are usually they are like 3inches or 2.5inches

Flowmaster needs to start stamping the muffler name and model number on their mufflers.
I have two i bought a while back. But i cant figure out wich model are they.
William Ramos they have numbers on them that you can look up to find the model
I agree
Awesome video wish it included sound in db messurements from outside.
I agree. DBs FTW
I’m running the super 10’s on my 66 Nova wagon with a 2001 LS 1 motor. They are freaking loud and I love them.
Have a Super 10 that came included on a full Flowmaster catback kit for my Silverado, best sounding muffler ever has such a wicked mean sound.
That Challenger with those modern wheels is just gorgeous! Ironic that I came to this video researching for my 2013 Challenger R/T Plus.
The Pro Series are the only Flowmaster mufflers I like.
I loved my 44's on my sierra, I even kept the cats on and it sounded so sick, the only muffler I'd suggest putting on a 5.3 is the super 44
skuz34 what about the 6.0? Want to hear it but not trying to wake the neighbors up or drone
I have a 92 mustang gt with headers no cats and the super 10 dump sounds really good.
Nice!
Power Automedia Ditto!
I got a super 10 on my 2014 f150 5.0, love it
Most Ford F150 owners would be happy with one of these mufflers! They suck, just like Ford trucks.
Randy demort71 best selling truck for 39 years, but that's none of my business. And why are you watching a flowmaster video if you don't like them?
Shane Johnson Best selling doesn't make it the best.
I wonder how the WRX would sound with the Super 10, catless with muffler deletes nearly blew out my ear drums when turbo spools at 3k.
The super 10 is the muffler
possiblyunknown Of course, just makes me wonder what kind of tone it will have. My car had too much of a sloppy and ricer noise to it with straight catless pipes.
+Zcypot run 3 inch catback and itll sound good.more of a deeper tone instead of that ricer sound.
Jav Munguia ill have to change my mid-pipe then, I think thats the only 2.5inch exhaust left over with that terrible "Y" pinch
+Zcypot get super 10's (;
I think the super 44 sounds the best on that Challenger. I have a 40 series on my 13 Silverado with a 5.3, it sounds good.
Did you leave the cats on ? I was thinking about getting a 40 series on my 05 5.3
Thank you for this, now I know what I want, perfect.
love this video. only thing u left out thou was wide open throttle, wouldve like to hear the differences but owell. probably gona go with the super 10.
Awesome video! I sent a video response of my BMW M5 with the Hushpower Pro Series installed. Sounds incredible!
I always liked the 40 series I have it on my silverado and Sierra both sounds awesome
I am thinking about the super 44 for my 1993 ford f150 with the 302 v8
There we go, another clueless Ford owner of a F150 loving on the Blow Masters. I would love to run you with my Lil Red Express, just smoooooke your little butt for kicks! LOl
Randy demort71 what's your problem dude? Just cause he's considering a muffler his ford you're offended by it? He's done nothing against you.
looking for one for my 93 f150 also what u go with? I'm thinking of getting the same one.
Great video
Thanks for watching!
If you want loud go super 10. Hushpower sound great after they break in as well. I have original 40 series on my truck and wish I would have bought the 10
I went with the flowmaster outlaws axle backs on my 2010 Shelby GT500 and wow! Great product and price.
those hushpower are bad ass
very helpful video
+MadeWithFlames Thanks for watching!
Super 44
I had flowmaster 40s installed on my stroker 437 with 2.5 pipes with a x pipe and they seem very mild. The tone is distinct but very close to stock with the pipes ran all the way out the back
I got the Super 44 series on my 01 Dodge Dakota 4.7 V8 5 speed dual exhaust out the back from one pipe.
+Norfolk Southern Lehigh Valley Railfan How is it I'm thinking about getting it on my Dodge Charger
Kymani Whilby It's pretty good I also have a 73 Corvette with a sb350 but I'm not putting flowmaster's on that I'm probably putting Thrush welded
What the hell is the point of a "mild" muffler for quite noise, just leave it stock if you want a quite car.
+B1ue Hawk "quiet"
B1ue Hawk leaving it stock could mean factory straight pipes. as you get older you will learn the value of a decent conversation while driving an old car with an old friend.
Sometimes when you go to restore a car it has no muffler or very little of it left because of rust/weather.

Good sound > loudness
glasspack muffler is the best sound for me
i died right at the beginning. What an amazing car
I drive a lowered car that scrapes on fallen leaves. The door handles are shaved off and there's a turbo whistle on my $30 muffler. It runs on octane 200 fuel and does 0-62 in under 17 seconds . A ground breaking record if you ask me.
I just ordered a Super 10. I also like the Super 44. If it's a Flowmaster...It Rocks!!!!
wouldn't the outlaw be the most aggressive?
well, i ended up putting a flowmaster super 10 in place of my stock muffler. The sound level is really dissapointing. I expected it to be pretty damn loud, but it has no pop, isn't loud, and mellows out quickly. I have a buddy with a original 40 and y pipe with tips, and it sounds pretty much the same to me. I want you do do a video like this with the Flowmaster HP2. I build allot of small cars like the Volkswagen Buggies
i wouldve bought a magnaflow but because they dont have a video like this i dont know how they sound like. i saw this video and i found the perfect muffle and it is soo nice
Nice! Thanks for watching!
thanks for this video
Thanks for watching!
I Got series 10 on my 08 dodge charger. sounds badass.
Nice!
Looking for an old school sound I have a caprice lt1 and want that old school small block rumble
Great video!!!
Thanks for watching!
i have the delta 40 and offroad xpipe kinda want to go to 10
Nice video
Any hushpower vids test sound on mit.evo?nissan skyline?supra?wrx sti?
Do u deliver to Taiwan? I like to purchase a super 10 for my Chevy

ya take ur prius n push it off a cliff.. it'll be heard.. hitting the bottom..
Lets take all the Priuses and push them somewhere else.
Had Super 10s on a cammed LS1 Camaro and it was the best sounding (and loudest) car around. You could hear it literally miles away. It would drive you crazy in long trips though. Not to mention it was turned down about the middle of the car. Lol. Was worth it tho.
I have the 40 on my 93 k1500 5.7L sounds great
Man I got some super 44’s with A res delete on A RT Charger AWDand it’s only loud when I start it and take off on the highway super quiet
Why do exhausts have H or X cross pipes? Why do dual exhausts need to be connected? Great video thanks.
Dave L.
It has to do with maximizing the savaging effect. By using either a X or H pipe the exhaust banks are able to equal the pressure between each other. yeah the original 40 just isnt loud enough for me. I'm getting straight pipes soon, and it'll be plenty loud haha
i have a super 40 on my 2010 gmc sierra and it just sounds noticable. i didnt want a drag sound like the super 10 cuz it wouldnt sound like a truck then. i may try the super 44 next time for a little more rumble tho.
I just ordered my super 10 for my 2014 ram 1500 5.7 hemi
Nice! Thanks for watching!
I'm buying the super 10 .. Sounds awesome
Awesome! helps a lot to choose!
im thinking of putting the pro series on my 350 chevy but i dont know how it aould sound

I just have a v6 11charger, thinking of buying her exhaust? I know sees close to 300 hp, what exhaust would let you know that
Have a 40 series on my jeep jk Wrangler sounds awesome
the last one is the best
Mike Anderson
I just ordered the Super 10 but I know it won't be TOO loud cause I'm putting it on my 3.6L Avenger
Nice! Thanks for watching! :)
Just put that bad boy on today and it sounds nice lol
I have a 2.4L Avenger and I’m trying to figure out if I’d just look ridiculous trying to make it sound better 😂
I have an 80 el cammy w/ a 350, ill be going x pipe 2.5" with cutouts and suggestionsm i was thinking super 44 or super 10s
had true duel, no cats and super 10s on my 03 f150 with the 5.4 sounded good but way to loud for a daily driver especially pulling trailers!!!
super 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lol you obviously must have made the right choice and bought one yourself
Is there a difference between the a regular super 10 and one that's intended for off-road or race purposes
I just want to make my Prius louder !!! So I can be heard for once. Any tips ??
I suggest losing the Prius and getting a 240
+matthew balg I heard the loudest Prius ever the other day. It was stuck under the rear bell housing of a 69 Chevelle SS going down the highway and sparks & bloody human parts were flying everywhere. That was one fuckin wildass Prius I tell ya!
I'm thinking a super 40 or 44 for my Xterra. Still not sure, both sound great. Suggestions?
I got a super 44 on my frontier and it sounds amazing perfect sound level and tone
+HawKNR alright that helps. I think I will end up going 44. Thank you
no problem man
No point on throwing flowmasters on a v6!!!!!!!! Its retarded
HawKNR true.
Shame I can't get this sound on my 4cyl 2.5l diesel truck in the UK :(
Shame? It's a 4 cyl what do you expect lol
I'd like a public opinion on whether or not I should go with the super 44 or super 10 on my f250 v8 if I'm running dual exhausts.
super 10 but I just like loud ass vehicles lol
ok i know this is super random and has nothing to do with the video but i came across this with a random google search and recognized the street were they were test driving the car and i happen to work right across from there
What's the best one for a daily driven f150?
I wanna know this also. i have 1998 w brand new engine w Old exhaust. Listening to video I Like the 44 series.?
Any muffler suggestions for 2001 Chevy Silverado V8 5.3L? Probably going for moderate sound.
Flowmaster can help you find the perfect setup. Here's their number: (707)544-4761
J Alvarez straight pipe. Chevy's V8's sound great that way. cheaper too
American Racing headers and catbcak is the best. No resonator and no cats. Headers and X-pipe with custom muffler. ARH FTW!!!!
What do you reccommend for a 2010 VW Jetta Wolfsburg edition
Someone at Flowmaster should be able to point you in the right direction! (707) 544-4761
Wish you'd do this test with a more modern car that doesn't have a V8 engine. Want to find a good sounding exhaust for an Accord 2.0T that has a nice low tone instead of the typical ricer sound.
50 Series Delta Flow for the SXT-Plus V6? Want little more rumble than stock, without trying to take a V8 . Any thoughts?
I've been thinking about getting the super 10s for my 1980 Trans am but will the Catalytic converter soften the sound?
yeah, the cats will hinder the sound, but not to much. if your worried about it, just get a catless h pipe and you'll be able to hear your car way before you see it.
Yes, the cats will soften the sound. Best thing to do is search up some sound clips online or give Flowmaster a call so they can get you the product with the specific sound you are looking for.
The original 40 series is the best IMO. Even makes my slowpoke Durango sound badass.
What would be best for 2000 silverado
I have a 72 charger with a 440 v8 what should I get
chris. a super 10s if u like it loud.
A 68 charger.
I wish flowmaster support knew anything about their product. I spent 20 minutes talking to someone who was probably sitting on their couch as well looking at your website reading the description. Or maybe someone can tell me if the dbx can be used on a v8 and not sound like crap? I only see it on small honda civics and your description says "4/6 CYL Engine
Classic Muscle Car
Late Model Muscle Car
Street Rod
Street/Strip
Truck/SUV"
Unless you guys are talking about the oh so common 4/6cylinder muscle cars and street rods it would seem these mufflers are for pretty much any vehicle.
