    Thanks so much for this! I've been a Marilyn fan for 34 years and I've written 6 books about her, so it was lovely to see this inspired room. Even lovelier to stay in it! I wish! 😀

      It's a great space and you get that privacy you don't get in a regular hotel room or suite. You can also access those bungalows through a very private back entrance from the street, you don't need to go through the hotel lobby.

    They have updated this nicely while keeping the charm. Compare this to the Chateau Marmont who claims to be keeping the “old Hollywood” theme but is ripping people off with outdated and dingy looking rooms! If they are going to do that style they should commit to it, I saw a tv on a table that was clearly cheap 90s wood! 😂 There is a way to update so the space feels clean and refreshed but doesn’t loose the charm and it seems they did that well here.

    • @FreddySherman
      @FreddySherman  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree, they spent / spend a lot of money keeping it ultra modern and luxurious, even though it retains the overall historic vibe. I agree about Chateau Marmont, they never did a full renovation there like they did at BHH in the early 2000s.

    • @FreddySherman
      @FreddySherman  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would say it's intended to be used while you are there, not taken home. But I don't think they would be very mad if you took it, given the cost of the room!

      They have different vibes, this one especially has a more feminine feel and decor, done intentionally to pay tribute to MM. The Pres bungalow is a lot bigger and has a real residential feel to it. Thanks for watching all these videos. you seem to have excellent taste, I'm working on an article about Paris hotels, do you have a favorite?

    850 dollars per night? That is a fair price regarding that you get free dom perignon, strawberry sundae, several bottles of Chanel N°5 and a "butler drawn" bath. Or is it not included? If not, what did you have to pay, approximately, for the sundae and perignon?

    • @FreddySherman

    "Insirspired" in the opening title? And it is not the original bench from the picture - the original has 4 slats diagonally - the one now only has 3. But good enough I guess to get "insirspired" by such an iconic moment.

    • @FreddySherman

      The important thing is that you watched it and for that, I thank you. I mentioned the bench was recreated by the hotel to replicate the original.
