I wish that we could go back in time and forth as we pleased. I would marry Norma Jean before she met Arthur Miller. I would do my best to care for her in my tenderest loving care until death do us part, no matter if she was in loyal to me or not. I love you Norma Jean Baker (Aka Marilyn Monroe). May you rest in Heavenly Paradise. I'll see you when I (Godwilling) get there. Until then, it's nice to talk to you even though I can't hear your voice. At least not yet.
Marilyn Monroe was not a socialite. Marilyn Monroe was not filthy rich. Marilyn Monroe’s goal in life was not to be as pretty as she could. Marilyn Monroe didn’t believed that ‘Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend’. Marilyn Monroe didn’t came from a rich family. Marilyn Monroe was not just a sex symbol. She came from a broken home, she never met her father and her mother was schizophrenic. When she started her career: Worked as a model, and had to do extra hours of work in a factory. Men didn’t gave to her the opportunities that she had: She spent six long years (1947-1952) and numerous of minor movie roles to finally got her first starring role, (Marilyn’s six month contract with Columbia Pictures in 1948 was not renewed because she turned down the offer from Harry Cohn to have a weekend with him on his yacht). She did hours of dramatic lessons, singing lessons and dancing lessons everyday to feel prepared for her roles. When she finally achieved her stardom, her salary at the studio was low. She faced the studio system that was very controlling at the time - she studied method acting in the Actors Studio, builded her own production company (the third woman in history to do this) and made a career that was her pride. She was a early civil rights activist, she donated time and money to numerous charities, she was the first celebrity to talk about child sexual abuse, she had a personal library of over 400 books and was a avid reader. From a girl who came from nothing, she was a Golden Globe winner who starred in over 30 films and won numerous acting awards. She also was very critical about herself and was extremely perfectionist in her films. I can't stand all those Kim Kardashian comparisons, they look NOTHING alike. This glamorous image that you guys see today was far from being the only thing that she had. Don’t be fooled by the myths, don’t be fooled by people’s thoughts about her, don’t be fooled by the fake quotes.
+Lucy G 100% agree. I just recently finished reading her biography (Donald Spoto version) and it's amazing how you feel like you if you knew her she would have been a great friend. I've read biographies of other actresses of the time (Gardner, Turner, Bacall), and while they were indeed very interesting women, you just don't get the same sense of sympathy that you have for Marilyn. Reading about Marilyn's life, there is no sense of "they were lucky and I wish I had their life"...reading about her makes me feel genuinely compassionate towards her and sad for her. One of the facts I learned about her was that indeed she didn't even like fine jewelry. She only had two pieces, the diamond ring given to her by Joe DiMaggio, and a strand of Mikimoto pearls. She wasn't materialistic, or selfish, or greedy. She wasn't vapid either. It really makes me sad that she had such low self-esteem and some people in her life used her and made her feel so bad about herself. She was a shining star that burned out too soon.
+Lucy G Point taken. Couldn't agree more. Marilyn Monroe was never vain and narcissist. She was shy, insecure, and just wanted to prove to the world that there's more to her than meets the eye. Kim K would never be half the woman Marilyn was. :(
Everyone talks about her obvious beauty but let’s talk about how stinkin cute her mannerisms were & how impressive it was that she acted through a speech impediment (which she developed through sexual abuse at an early age) & held it together SO WELL while dealing with intense misogyny. She was super intelligent, introspective and wise. Really quite an impressive human.
@@JS-yf9xh that movie isn’t even based in truth. It’s a fictional novel/movie. It inserts some truth to the story but not entirely. She was a victim of Hollywood and so forth but she still was a very strong woman. She loved acting she never said she didn’t want to do it. I think she liked the attention honestly. But she definitely didn’t like the blonde jokes and such.
you know what i always noticed about Marilyn in her interviews..she thinks before she speaks..she chooses her words carefully and doesn't blabber on and answers the questions to what she thinks suffices, she is a smart girl.
+Jhanay No doubt because Marilyn had been sexually abused numerous times by then, and was also an ongoing victim of the CIA's trauma-based mind control programme, 'MK-ULTRA'. Check out Fritz Springmeier's thorough research on this and Marilyn. It's eye-opening stuff, but it also explains so much about Marilyn, her life and her death (killed by the CIA, in part), in hindsight. Sadly, this is still going on with certain celebrities today. What a world...
A producer on Marilyns movies once said "she's not sexy but there is something incredibly attractive about her" When she talks to the camera you can see why he would say that.
Poor Marilyn. She was only 36 when she died and she’s been gone for 61 years, yet her legacy is still strong. She’s loved and missed. A true icon. #RIPMarilynMonroe 🙏🏼
Not to sound horrible but every famous person is gonna be doing something whether it be smoking, Abusing pills or doing drugs in general. Being rich and famous is nothing except overwhelming and lonely!
Nah! What you’re feeling there is confirmation bias. You only say that cuz you know she’d be dead 7 years after this interview. The human brain is a powerful thing.
@@augopen - I was not wondering such a thing. Actually, I was thinking for once she seemed like a normal person just hanging around the house and not needing to put on at all.
Marilyn was a HOMEWRECKER she trampled on Jackie's marriage and didn't care she only craved power and money and fame she blackmailed the Kennedys and got killed for it
She was so beautiful. She did not deserve to be treated so cruelly and disrespected. A beautiful Soul that wanted Love. God rest your beautiful Soul Norma Jean
@Lady Fervor probably not . everyone has problems , but when someone beautiful has problems it reminds us how how unfair life is to all of us. no matter how beautiful you are, you're life can still be just as fucked up as a burn victim's . you just can't win, and there is some relief in knowing that someone as beautiful and glamorous as marilyn monroe didn't live such a good life. it's sad, but honest
Trigger Happy you explained It perfectly... if she wasn’t extremely beautiful we probably wouldn’t care but it’s like a reality check that your looks don’t matter. Well said
That’s it. But it should be said that being in the moment doesn’t mean that she wasn’t self aware. Many people noted that if she had actually been “dumb” and less self aware and less aware of the game and how it’s played she would have been happier.
Her child like innocence is an act.. she meant to appear like that.. no adult can have innocence especially of they've gone through what marilyn had.. but that is what she wanted her image to be like :)
she is so captivating, even in 2023 I can understand why people were simply charmed by her and her personality, so kind, so genuine and soft spoken, I can listen to her talk for hours
So true. She had a lovely voice....and seemed like an adorable person (yes I know she had her flaws, but we all do). So sad that the "powers that be" in Hollywood drove her to her death at such a young age by not letting her simply be herself.
It's too bad that such a beautiful woman couldn't come across much smarter! I read that some male reporters used to quiz Marilyn and Rita Hayworth on some pretty hard topics to trip them up! Nice wasn't it?
I read up on Marilyn's story and I can honestly say that I'm surprised she turned out as gentle and sweet as she did. She had such a difficult childhood and adulthood for that matter. You can't help but feel sorry for her difficult life. She was so sad.
It means her sweetness and kindness made her stronger. I know what I speak of. It's hard living a ... tragic... life. But the strongest souls stay sweet.
She had all the oomph taken out of her by this time, she was very much on drugs the last years of her life, her whole like was tragedy, then make-believe. She never really got to be herself, always acting, pleasing others, doing what they coaxed or told her to do, very sad, a studio product; she tried to escape and finally did. But she set the stage for other women to try to get and persona, the sex appeal she portrayed, real or not. We'll always remember her, she has that legend, no matter how it was created!
Eve Tan wow true what good observation. That deep pain mixed with an embarrassed thought. M M is very good at hiding the pain. I always think why humans are so fascinated by Marylin. I wish I could've been alive while she was alive. She seems like such a beautiful soul, and after reading about her you come to understand that there was so much more to her than anybody knew or thought back then. I didn't know her, and she died a long time before I was born, but somehow I miss her.
We all do Katie she seems incredible inside and out. I would have loved to see her day!! You know what I find the most interesting about Marilyn? That although she was in the lime light and was the center of attention in Hollywood and out of Hollywood but yet seems so kind and down to earth. Most people let money and fame get to their heads but she really didn't seem like she did.
Bubbley Panda who are you to judge? she was so troubled & after all he's the one that's supposed to be loyal to his wife it takes two ppl to cheat. not saying what she did was right but I don't think it's right to judge her
"I didn't know her, and she died a long time before I was born, but somehow I miss her." Katie, you'd be amazed how many people feel the same way. It's why she's still as talked about and important, and why there was and will never be anyone like her. I think she would be amazed to know that she's more loved, cared about and respected today than she ever was, or ever could have imagined ever being. Sadly ironic that's all she ever really wanted.
It is overwhelming that after a long time people from all over the world can regnoize the pain in her eyes and the broken soul behind every smile. Even though she looks just incredibly beautiful and her soft voice makes you feel mesmerized like you listen to a real princess … It is still true that the eyes are the mirror of the soul. She was ahead of her time and she earned the world. I genuinely hope she is in a better place where is no pain and where she is not forced to be someone she didn't meant to be. We miss you and love you. With love from Germany/Albania

@@Onetwothreefour. that’s true. Back during the time this was filmed people didn’t show their true selves on camera like they do today. They showed you the image they wanted to portray. There was no “reality” tv like today. Celebrities were mysterious and kept their private life to themselves. Unlike today
There is a lot people out there has child hood like hers now and back in her day, but abuse was not reported. Sadly, she did not know how to reparent herself with inner child work. I am glad she was one whom supported donations towards child abuse. If it was not for her, Joan Crawford 's Daughter book, and other people, child abuse would still a silent killer.
cella demar yea but thats not what she meant...she meant her demeanor and voice and maybe her face a little but obviously not her hair color and Marylin wasn't really blonde anyway....
There’s something so otherworldly about her. Like yes her beauty is astonishingly exceptional even by todays standards. But it’s something in her being that you can observe when she’s talks and moves. It’s something photos can’t do justice. Arthur miller had said something that made a lot of sense about her- He said something along the lines of ‘she was absolutely radiant but surrounded by darkness’ and how it bewildered & intrigued him.
I’m glad that people can discover that for themselves because the image of Monroe on the photos as the “Blonde Bombshell” make some people think she was some sort of brassy diva but she was anything but that, not only that but the word “magnetism” seems to have been invented for her. I don’t even usually like blondes but...oh boy
and please treat her like she has a brain in her head. a little dignity for the woman, please people. She was treated like one of little Jimmy's friends came over to spend the night and his behavior was critiqued.
Her flash of emotion at 6:35 says it all. For a brief moment, her sadness comes through. She quickly conceals it again with a bright smile. I wonder how much time and effort went into masking that emotional pain. The comment that prompts it was that “she’s an ideal house guest...she isn’t trouble to anyone.” Undoubtedly for a moment in her mind it must have clicked - as an orphan who was in multiple foster homes, with no parents, in between in orphanages, sometimes in horrifying situations, had she ever in her life ever felt like anything much more than a houseguest? Did she ever really get to experience the love of a family? She took her torment and turned herself with dogged determination into the most glamorous star in Hollywood. The love of the public is probably the truest love she ever felt. She was truly self made and I think that’s one of the reasons she’s so admired. But all the glamour and flash in the world can’t mask or reconcile the pain inside. So sad. She is a fascinating and tragic woman.
& this is exactly why I connect with her. I was fascinated with her before I even knew her background. I was looking to see if anyone caught that. My parents died young, although i never had to go to foster homes (stayed with my gma) thats a feeling no one can shake. It takes the word alone to another level. You explained this perfectly. & her reaction was a trigger response. It’s something we just have to deal with. You try to push it to the back of your head but the subject eventually comes up, unprovoked and all. The public was her true love but the public was also dangerous to her. rip to the baddest!
was thinking with Milton and Amy she was like family with them, she obviously trusted them and they her. It's not the family she imagined but they seem on the same wavelength.
Wow, Marilyn looks like she is very uncomfortable and masking tons of pain. You can almost see her wearing that Marilyn persona because the real her is so fragile and damaged that she couldn't function otherwise. Sadness just emanates off her. Very sensitive and talented, smart woman. I think all of her complexity mixed in with her physical beauty is what is so captivating about her. Everybody wants to love her and help her and yet no one is there for her. Bad childhood will do it every time. RIP sweet lady.
I remember the day I found out she died. They said she was alone and had no friends. I was 13. I thought “I would have been your friend”. Now I know she was murdered💔
she’s literally stunning. i’m in awe. just the perfect mixture of charming and beautiful and innocent and i just MELT. literally, her smile and voice is absolutely perfect. and the way she speaks, her eyes. wtf dude.
Wow. Monroe is an enchantress. Unbelievable. She has the most translucent, sweet, pure, magnetism. This is an absolutely incredible film footage. Thank you a million times. Her voice here is one for the ages. It is the softest, mostmesmerizing, brightest of wonders. The interviewer did a great job. Her voice is like a powder puff but of such a quality. She speaks so well and sincerely and intelligently. You wouldn't be able to get enough. I wish she had lived to get a chance to do all the dramatic roles that she yearned for and that she would have been so great in...
+Brenda Anne Du Faur "Her voice is like a powder puff" that is such a weird description but so so accurate! I can't think of a better way to put it haha.
When I look at her I see someone who is hiding beneath what it means to be "Marilyn Monroe." The way she sits, messes with her hands, hesitates, looks down. She is gentle, insecure, but real. I do think that she "turned into" Marilyn Monroe when she felt she needed to. Listening to some of her last recordings, she doesn't sound as airy, and she sounds like a relaxed real woman with her guard down. Perhaps she turned it on when she knew she was on camera.
His wife stared up at him while she was talking ...a rude gesture. She was stiff and unfriendly. Too bad this was her only alternative for a place to stay.
Actually that was part of marilyn act..she acted like an innocent child to mesmerize men..she was aware of the tone of her voice her fake shyness etc.. if you research her you'd know that was exactly what she wanted on scene at least.. for her image to be maintained
When she said she likes to stroll through the woods. Can you imagine seeing Marilyn walking through the woods in Connecticut with the dogs? Just like a movie scene, in her own world, trying to deal like the rest of us? I mean its captivating. Rest in peace to this amazing woman.
This is a woman who died in 1962. That was freaking 57 years ago and look at how people from all ages are still fascinated with her and love her like if they knew her. That to me is crazy. That's what you call a true legend! THE SEXIEST WOMAN I'VE EVER SEEN
Hell yes, I agree 100% Sometimes when I see pics of her I stare for a while. I like men but know how to appreciate the beauty of a woman. Norma Jean or Marilyn. She was stunning either way.
The sad part is that much of what makes her sexy to you is just acting and pretending - the voice, the body language, the smile and sad eyes, all of that was the persona of Marilyn Monroe. Its sad that most guys wouldn't find Norma Jean as attractive.
@@iamsultana That's just not true. Monroe was famous for a magnetism that went beyond her looks that she wasnt even aware of. Her charisma came through DESPITE the things you're saying. All so called sexpots try and be attractive with voice and body language and the rest but none of them became an icon like Monroe. And how are you so sure that the sad eyes were a persona? People noted from before she became famous that she was a sad girl with sad eyes. It was her natural off the charts charisma coupled with her touching vulnerability that was and is so famous. And it's obvious from photos before she became "Marilyn Monroe" that she was ridiculously photogenic.
There’s an interview here on YT where she drops the character and speaks in her natural tone (I believe she was tipsy during the interview so it’s relatively raw) and she seemed like such a cool woman to talk to.
Aavale' Storm Listen to the tapes from the late 60’s where she was talking to a reporter in her house. She was very candid and honest. A lot of the famous quotes she’s made came from that interview.
She didn't die from drugs. I was watching mysteries at the monument which is a show about mysteries in the U.S. Apparently,You can tell wheither drugs killed a person or not by their corspe. They did various tests and confirmed that she didn't die from drug overdose. The show is on the history channel. I know that noone was talking about her death but I just wanted to post this.
Her voice is very calming , and her smile is so beautiful .. I wish if she wasn't so sad and depressed in her life , god knows what made her choose to end her life . RIP marilyn ❤️
Her mum had the same problem. She may have not wanted to die but she couldn't control it. Se people lose control of their brain which must be devastating for them
Milton and Amy seemed like lovely people, both to Marilyn and in general. It’s a shame seeing comments like ‘lol I bet it was so awkward for the wife’ because Milton was just a good friend and women who actually knew Marilyn loved her and were very protective of her. Stop pitting women against each other, yes, Amy wasn’t Marilyn Monroe, but she was still absolutely stunning and seems like she was a wonderful person. (Edit: Amy is actually still alive as of Feb. 11 2018! My mistake, past tense doesn’t apply to her then haha)
I agree, many comments saying they are creepy but this as early days of tv I think they were just helping Marilyn. I got the impression you did, that in fact, Amy was protecting her nerves by filling out and moving things along in the interview.
Exactly! All three of them were good friends. To this day people laugh at the awkward energy newscasters have while trying to get a live interview, you really think 1955 was much better? The only awkward part is the Greens being there, despite the fact the newscaster was obviously more interested in questioning Marilyn.😂
Marilyn loved women. I think that other women that didn't fully understand her sexual attraction towards them could subconsciously sense that from her anyway and perhaps it made them feel more secure with their husbands around her.
I like that she pokes fun at how she appeared on men's magazines in the past-- not being outwardly insecure about it, but just self-aware. Lovely person. She deserved more time than she got.
She seems so concerned about what's she going to say. Worrying not to say the wrong thing, like someone made it pretty clear to her what she is allowed to say.
While watching this particular interview, Marilyn seems like a charming, wise and inquisitive young woman. Very well spoken with a great sense of wit! This interview I believe, she showed her authentic side paradoxical to the 'blonde bombshell' phenomenon she mostly spent most her life conveying. She had such grace and had so much to offer, so sad regarding her untimely demise. Forever, through her craft and archival footages such as these, her memory lives on.
her smile is gold dust. she could be talking about how to make a cup of tea and it would be endlessly enchanting. her voice, smile, facial expressions, mannerisms - everything is just pure gold. the most charming charismatic and endearing woman to ever have lived.
Rudolph Rudolph - Was it the only way? The woman at her right is so confident and self-assured, very modern, she is strong and seems to take no bullshit. While Marilyn... it's sad she didn't have a similar confidence and at least dare to be and behave like herself.
@@t.r.1457 - Marilyn Monroe's persona was carefully crafted and cultivated. She gave people what she thought they expected and probably felt as if she wasn't loved for her true self. That must have been incredibly lonely. Part of her image was sex kitten. Everything from her walk, breathy talk, glamour girl look, etc... She used to refer to Marilyn as "her". I know in her last year's, she was trying to get away from that image a bit and take on serious rolls.
Karol the reasons she spoke that way was because she stuttered. A lot of people can stop their stuttering by using fake voices or accents. Especially by using such a breathy voice it helps alleviate all the tension in the vocal tract that can cause stuttering!
@@t.r.1457 The other woman was married, so of course she'll come off more settled. A woman's marital status was everything back then. Besides a person's background has something to do with how one moves around in the their skin ALSO
Milton really was an incredible photographer. Some of Marilyn’s most beautiful and raw images were taken by him. He was able to access her soul. Beautiful.
She has such a gentle essence about her. She's absolutely beautiful and her smile is so endearing. But there's this undeniable sorrow in her eyes. It's almost as if at times she has sadness on her face, and then catches herself and puts a smile on...very heartbreaking. Rest in Paradise, sweet Marilyn. I hope you know how loved you are.
thats what happens when people treated her like crap for long enough, it broke her but she just managed to put on the facade for everyone else. Her only escape was through the booze and pills. So sad, it may have been different if she had someone she could trust and not use her
Norma created a woman who has never died. Its really astounding to see immortality created like that in our lifetimes. She was only here on the planet for 36 years!!!

She wasn't very happy or very confident but she was sweet, innocent, down to earth, friendly and very funny. I see an amazing, strong woman beyond the depression and anxiety she suffered. I wouldn't have the guts to even walk past a camera let alone speak in front of it or act.
It takes practice to speak and act in front of a camera, with practice and focus everyone can speak in front of one and you might even find getting past that fear barrier of camera might make you more confident in everyday life. The first couple times will be a rush but after that you can began to be more controlled and comfy. Try it you might actually surprise yourself.
I think you were right except on the innocent part. She was more what I consider naive in some ways but not innocent. She was shrewd and knew exactly what she was doing. She was naive in how people perceived her and in what she had to do to achieve and keep her success. it's a rough heartless place where people will as she says "pay 5 dollars for your soul". talent is simply one quality that you need. the other more important qualities needed are a thick skin and the willingness to be used in whatever manner your masters decide.
Well I think on some levels she was innocent, I mean she got a lot of criticism and hell, backlash from those on set, the directors, producers who weren't very sympathetic or understanding about the problems she was facing and the issues she was suffering with. Marilyn was an amazing actress and yes she may of been naïve and shrewd but underneath it all she was going through a lot. I think she just wanted somebody to listen and to help her not to be constantly put down especially firing her at the end her last ever movie I think that was very unfair. Being late is one thing but lets be honest she was generally ill and I'm not talking just emotionally but physically as well.
Marilyn was so mesmerizing. Her depth of character and vulnerability cry for protection from a world fascinated by her beauty and abusive of her tender soul.
The hate in the comments are outrageous. Marilyn was a deeply troubled and deeply ambitious woman. To hate on her for her dependence on pills is completely uncalled for. Most celebrities then were on drugs at some point and let's not forget how little was known about mental health back then. Also to judge someone on her sexual behavior when it's all shrouded in rumor and exaggeration is pathetic. Marilyn isn't a bad role model. All she wanted was respect and love! She could have easily been a product of the studio and taken every dumb role they forced on her Or she could have simply married a wealthy man and lived well. But she didn't. She fought for herself. She took risks and worked hard on her craft. If she wasn't so crippled by her anxiety and depression she would have been easier to work with. Don't judge
Very factual - the most horrible thing about her childhood wasn't even being an orphan but constantly moved booted out of one home after another because the husbands would molest her (this happened to her even as young as 8 years old)! By her own account, a priest at her orphanage went crazy for her and bribed her to have sex with him. She said none of the nuns would do anything about it, so she eventually relented! She was around 12 when he started. Her birth father refused to even talk to her on the phone and told his wife to tell her that she will not be allowed in if she came to see him, but to call his lawyer if she has a problem!
I agree Victor. Some of these comments show envy or jealousy of the natural beauty she was. I can imagine when she was alive, the cattiness she had to endure from females around her.She never showed that ugly trait ,herself.
Victor Velasquez - She wasn't a bad role model, but she was neither a good one. E.g. had affairs with married men and was fake instead of being herself and true to herself in front of others. Look at the other confident and self-assured, strong woman next to her. Very modern and authentic. Marilyn was not unfortunately. She acts constantly, puts on a show instead of just being her genuine herself.
@kiranjit rana from someone like myself who is very observent and can read emotions very well. She is very uncomfortable. She could be happy, but at the moment she is definitely uncomfortable

Women are equal to men. But they are still not completely 'treated' equally. I don't think someone as sweet as she seemed to be, should be in this world right now
Milton's wife really cared for Marilyn and that is so obvious through their body language. There are moments where you can see her wanting to hold Marilyn and that is so touching
As a woman, I notice and adore the connection between these two females. The wife, even knowing that Marilyn was regarded as the ultimate sex symbol, was completely comfortable with her living underneath the same roof (strong & confident!)...and the way she was genuinely care-taking of Marilyn (contributing comments to help Marilyn along in the interview). And Marilyn, "knowing her place" and regarding it with reverence and humility...THIS is what many women today miss when it comes to the sisterhood. That's not to say that one is in charge and the other is not - it's simply commentary on how CLASSY, STRONG women behave. We hold each other up and respect each other in ways that 'others' can't even BEGIN to see. It's all about the nuances.

To be fair, there have been millions of people who have never thought of her that way. An example would be the American Academy (the one's who give out the oscars) who put her at number 6 in their list of top hundred stars of all time.

@@maliklee7 Lmao! Well I suppose you got me there 🙂
Marilyn Monroe was not a socialite.
Opposite if "role models" like Kim kardashian today

Mhac Xhi YES!!! Preach it
Everyone talks about her obvious beauty but let’s talk about how stinkin cute her mannerisms were & how impressive it was that she acted through a speech impediment (which she developed through sexual abuse at an early age) & held it together SO WELL while dealing with intense misogyny. She was super intelligent, introspective and wise. Really quite an impressive human.
Have you watched Blonde yet? Marilyn would be horrified.
What speech impediment?
She had a speech impediment? 😮
@@JS-yf9xh that movie isn’t even based in truth. It’s a fictional novel/movie. It inserts some truth to the story but not entirely. That’s it. But it should be said that being in the moment doesn’t mean that she wasn’t self aware. Many people noted that if she had actually been “dumb” and less self aware and less aware of the game and how it’s played she would have been happier.

It's too bad that such a beautiful woman couldn't come across much smarter!
I read that some male reporters used to quiz Marilyn and Rita Hayworth on some pretty hard topics to trip them up!

Jasmine Wright She was smart. She had no childhood. Was a great business woman. Knew her self worth. Did it on her own.
She's an angel now. She is pure. Not meant for man. She belongs to God ❤
Katie, you'd be amazed how many people feel the same way.

You are a empath no?
😭💯❤️❤️❤️
& this is exactly why I connect with her. I was fascinated with her before I even knew her background. I was looking to see if anyone caught that. My parents died young, although i never had to go to foster homes (stayed with my gma) thats a feeling no one can shake. It takes the word alone to another level. You explained this perfectly. & her reaction was a trigger response. It’s something we just have to deal with. You try to push it to the back of your head but the subject eventually comes up, unprovoked and all. The public was her true love but the public was also dangerous to her. rip to the baddest!

Maya Bellow so why did she die?
Marilyn's voice sounds like a Disney princess in the Disney movies 💖
Marilyn's voice is like ASMR lol...
Kali Sepulveda YESSSSS OMG
She was only 26 during this interview. My God!
She was 29 here
April '55, she was 28. Turned 29 on June 1st

Her voice is very calming , and her smile is so beautiful .. I wish if she wasn't so sad and depressed in her life , god knows what made her choose to end her life . RIP marilyn ❤️
She didn't end her life.
7beers I agree with you.

I'm from another county... What does voices have to do with this? Can you prove a good documented case false because of a conspiracy theory?
Her mum had the same problem. She may have not wanted to die but she couldn't control it. Se people lose control of their brain which must be devastating for them
I wish there were more interviews with footage of this incredible woman, there aren't that many.
wow her voice, so lovely and pretty. she seems like such a lovely lady
god rest her soul
I got the impression you did, that in fact, Amy was protecting her nerves by filling out and moving things along in the interview.
not true, they were rude.
Exactly! All three of them were good friends. To this day people laugh at the awkward energy newscasters have while trying to get a live interview, you really think 1955 was much better? The only awkward part is the Greens being there, despite the fact the newscaster was obviously more interested in questioning Marilyn.😂
Amy and Marilyn were good friends
Marilyn loved women. I think that other women that didn't fully understand her sexual attraction towards them could subconsciously sense that from her anyway and perhaps it made them feel more secure with their husbands around her.
Most beautiful woman i ever seen, and her voice is angelic!
lol. Nice comment, however beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My father met her and he said he thought she was too fat. lol
Someone probably did.
She's like that in all of her interviews. It's rare but nice to see someone actually think before they speak, especially when being in the public eye.
True
It was the 50s, extreme pressure to conform.
She was used as a puppet to brainwash the masses into consumerism, egotism, and conservatism.
Marilyn Monroe's smile is just beautiful.
It’s crazy how she’s been gone for so long yet we are still captivated by Marilyn Monroe. Many have tried to be her but fail miserably. ❤️❤️❤️
Including Ana de Armas 😂🤣 terrible portrayal I hated it!
I’ve ALWAYS thought this !!!
Forever, through her craft and archival footages such as these, her memory lives on.
wow. she doesnt seem stuck up for a celebrity her status.. damn.. she is beautiful:)
Alyssa Gonzalez ikr good heavens
her smile is gold dust. she could be talking about how to make a cup of tea and it would be endlessly enchanting. her voice, smile, facial expressions, mannerisms - everything is just pure gold. the most charming charismatic and endearing woman to ever have lived.
She seems so unreal...Like the way she talks feels unnatural.
St. Ann she was faking
Besides a person's background has something to do with how one moves around in the their skin ALSO
The saddest smiles I've ever seen. I would give anything to talk to Her. Such a magnificent person She was.
"does Marilyn know her way around the kitchen?"

Well phrased. You are the first one to mention this and I thank you because I can see the sorrow and fear...
thats what happens when people treated her like crap for long enough, it broke her but she just managed to put on the facade for everyone else. Her only escape was through the booze and pills. So sad, it may have been different if she had someone she could trust and not use her
@@fransinclair3356 Good grief. She was no angel while having affairs. She was as imperfect as anyone.

Beauty can be both a blessing and a curse.
I’ve lived it
But when she ages and her beautify diminishes her powers dissipate.

*_My God, she was such a beautiful soul, rest in peace beautiful_*
Being late is one thing but lets be honest she was generally ill and I'm not talking just emotionally but physically as well.
true.
The media abused her and took advantage of her beauty.
Don't judge
Wonderful and respectful comments.
Loved her, never will we find another woman like Marilyn Monroe. She had a childlike beauty that was breathtaking.
6:32 this facial expression gave me chills.. then her smiling afterwards. you can really see the poignancy of her life in her face..

That accent is soo strong. People in those days had good manners and nice natured principles .
Yes, and Hollywood though Project Mockingbird programmed people to the behaviour we are witnessing today. A definite and planned downgrade. Their agenda? Their religion...a global religion called Satanism of which Freemasonry is a front
then RAP music came along and destroyed everything
This is a fake accent created by Hollywood. Americans longed to speak as elegantly as the British, so they imitated them in the movies.
@@delrey874 it was actually used by the British as well. It’s a transatlantic accent. The main use was to confuse foreign spies so they wouldn’t grasp regional American and British dialects/accents so if someone came along speaking with this accent as a regular person you would know something was off about them.

Liana Rodriguez Does my opinion bother you?
Milton's wife really cared for Marilyn and that is so obvious through their body language. There are moments where you can see her wanting to hold Marilyn and that is so touching
I'm always so intrigued by how she speaks and her facial expressions. She's so graceful.
Hello Mary, How are you doing?

Her eyes actually flash with anger right before she does the fake smile. She's like, "I'm right here, why are you asking Milton's wife these stupid questions re: ME?"

To be fair, there have been millions of people who have never thought of her that way. An example would be the American Academy (the one's who give out the oscars) who put her at number 6 in their list of top hundred stars of all time.
