Iv seen someone pour the multi finish all across the wall straight from the bucket. Just bouncing off the wall gently about 1/3rd up from the bottom. The perfect mix so it sticks to the wall, naturally runs a little but catch it with the 1.2m speed skim before it hits the floor and go straight up. The speedskim holds loads of plaster so go from bottom of wall then go sideways after. Literally has a wall done in 5 minutes flat per coat.
@@everlastbuilders I think it would make a good video and thumbnail. Practice before you film it. Maybe try a narrow wall before you move onto a long one. He can pour about 2.4m pretty easy though. Stand the speedskim in the corner so it's easy to grab and put the bucket down behind you out the way. I have a whole house to plaster and I'm definitely going to try it.. need a trowel to get the cut in at top and sides then to polish it after 2nd coat but massive time saver still
Been plastering for 15 years and just got the speed skim set for first time getting on really well and makes some difference with the finish is it just me though or is that plastic blade making my skim go off slightly quicker than usual ? Ps it's a really good thing 👍
What a difference a speed skim makes! Especially for me as I’m not a full time spread. Defo helps me with getting it flat. I think it’s suppose to make the mix go of slower with plastic but not 100% sure. Speed skim definitely makes the job a lot easier. Thanks for watching and commenting mate
It doesnt really work like that, plaster is a funny thing i have been plastering 25 yrs plus and have never had a ceiling of wall go off the same ,there are many many variables involved ,weather,heat,breeze etc ....i feel im always still learning .
i use my 1200 for ceilings and walls and my 600 for window and door returns. cant think of plastering without them now, wish i had them 25 years ago .................

Can you roll that render onto ceiling.(painters roller)? If you can it make a huge difference to the labour time. Great job.

In my opinion for many reasons plaster should be applyedwith a metal hawk and metal trowel.

Hi Sam. The bigger the better. Out of all of mine I use the 1200 the most.

Yer agreed. Definitely use the 1200 the more tho. Sometime if I can’t be bothered to get the 600 out I just use the 1200 on the reveals to.
