You shouldn’t let the felt go into gutter you need eaves trays and felt cut back . The membrane ,felt , is a moisture barrier for any condensation that forms on the back of the tile and between back of tile and membrane ,felt not the actual water proofing as that’s the job of the tile , I should look for cracked or broken tiles letting in water onto the felt further up the roof That old IF felt is old style not used today
That isn't a ridge 😂😂😂😂
Mono ridge?
Very useful tutorial. Thanks so much for sharing. I've recently recleaned my Marley roof tiles. Absolutely thick with moss. Having manually removed the majority of the moss - 8 black bin bags, roughly half full - I sprayed it with 15% bleach twice - and will now paint over with clear acrylic sealant. I can see that there has been a degree of water ingress and, having watched your video, understand that the underfelt must have rotted away, and will need replacing.
Spot on lads great video, essy to follow and no nonsense 👏
Np trays! It'll always F up like this.
How long does it take to dry. Unexpected shower 3 hours after applying and it washed off - big brown puddle! No instructions on the can but they were talking about 3 coats - think I'll have to wait till next summer 😅
Oh no that’s annoying! There is quick drying black jack available. Which says it can dry in 4 hours everbuild do one. Think tool station sell it. Good luck
😳
Would you put the silver coving up first or the corner strips?
Please redo this video with different lighting
Good job under constrained and awkward access conditions. Please keep safe for you family and kids Sir. The 40 or so mm headlap on the shallow roof pitch is a dire testimony to the original building design. It should be maybe 75 to 80mm. When was it built? Kind regards.
Thanks you mate. Not sure when it was built. Definitely not that old. I know it’s crazy. Let’s build a house on top of a hill by the sea and put a crap pitch on the roof😂 .
Nice job, I’d deffo have a tower with handrails though, that bit made me cringe.
I’m so used to it! But yes you are right sir! I should
@@everlastbuilders only said that cos I’ve been on site when someone has fallen from height, not pretty & easily avoidable.
This is very helpful - cheers, fortunately havea rail plunge saw - essential piece of kit
Good luck mate
Can i glue that board over old tiles in my bathroom?
@@snakes111b yes you can
You dont actually show how to install these panels.
Redland Delta- that brings back vertical flue install memories....
Hmmm … dodgy
Great video mate. Would be good if you went into more detail when making and cutting stuff instead of fast forwarding. You could have made 3 or 4 videos concentrating on individual jobs 👍🏻
Hi Pal, what is the product you are using there please? dx
Sorry bro. Can’t remember. I bought them from euro cell I believe. Also GAP sell them to
Too fast and hasn’t kept promise to leave supplier of units….
Gotta love a man who appreciates a second pair of hands even if they aren't up doing the same work as you. Doing this stuff alone is tedious as fuck when you've got to hop up and down for materials and tools.
Very true. I do like to take a second person on most jobs.
Can these panels be stuck to artex walls (no asbestos just lumpy plaster)
Don’t have to be strong just waterproof.
If they get holes that easy it may be waterproof but not water tight. A huge mould problem before you know it.
@kellyp8958 😟
Is the product breathable?
@@TH-camuser1_me I would say no. It’s a really thick and goes rubber like when dry.
@@everlastbuilders thank you, so its possible for the moisture to be trapped?
😂😂😂
Any chance you can remember which panels the first ones were you’ve shown in this video please? As in; the name of the “design” as such?
@@stefaniecreten6011 hey concrete elements. By multipanel i think
Also what is that corner piece called and who makes it. Thanks.
Great technique, thanks. What would you say to cutting the rear panel and bending it around an internal corner?
@@alicat398 can be done. Or there is a trim called last corner Type Y. Made by multipanel for the last corner
You said a proper wetroom company did it. How can someone know if he company doing the work is legit or not?
Looks a lot easier and less time consuming to install than tiles, plus easier for maintenance and cleaning. Just the risk of scratching during installation and cutting we have to watch out for!
Which tradesman would you need for this job?
Economy cuts 😂 nice work tho 👍🏼
Isn’t it a good idea to remove the old rotten post from under the ground?
I’ve just fitted these crap panels and realized as fitting that they dent and actually crack when any remote pressure put onto them. I have to fit a rain shower head tomorrow and shower screen weighing 21kg, not sure how to fit securely without cracking the panels. Any ideas?
Great work, it's not the most informative video, it's sped up so we don't see most of what's happening, great work tho👌
@@brendanhall5298 hey 😀 thanks for watching and your feedback. All noted and I will do better next time promise 😀
How do you get rid of the tiny gap in the centre of 2 panels when top and bottom are tightly fit?
Very helpful indeed mate! Many thanks 👍🏻
No waaaay?!🤯
Beautiful job! how long did it take????
Aye, the good old load bearing coffee cup. Excellent work, Sir 😁👍🏻
Fox racing gloves 👍👍
Damn I’m already a professional and didn’t know it 😂
Gotta hawk tuah on that thing, ya get me?!?
😂 legend 😂
Now that you tried the cowboy builders. Now try the Indians 😂😂
YEEEEHAAAAA 🤠
Believe it or not, straight to jail
Been there done that 😉
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Yes obviously wrong but how DO you do it correctly???
The timber should be secured down then the ridge screws screw into the timber. I'm doing one tomorrow
Polishing a Turd indeed
What if its asbestos
Then you’re In Trouble 😝 ideally you would have to get it taken away. But it can be sealed with something like blue grit and plastered over.
