I am an old retired cowboy. My wife is Filipina. One day I was sitting with her and three of her Filipina friends. This was late at night. The girls were approaching middle age and still single. One of the girls said if she could meet an American cowboy with 1,000 cows she would marry him. The second girl said that she would marry the cowboy even if he only had 17 cows. And third one chimed in that she would marry a cowboy with zero cows if he was handsome and nice. Not sure what it means but that was the narrative.

Weng's perfect first date is right on. You can't go out to the movies or a concert and learn about each other, you can't even talk! With my wife I was just meeting her for a quick lunch at a sandwich shop, to give her something to take to a mutual friend's birthday party since I couldn't go. I think we would up talking over 4 hours before I had to leave to go see my son's concert! The time just flew and we enjoyed each other's company so much. She wasn't looking for another relationship and I had been divorced over a decade--and failing to find anyone I'd be proud to share my kids with, so I wasn't really hopeful and looking either. Just being together, either like I did or just walking around is one of the best ways to get to know each other early. The first date determines if their is a second date!

She was a Great person to ask as they were Honest thoughtful and straight from the heart and shows her high value. It was refreshing to hear it from the Filipina side and it would be interesting to hear the different choices between what an Expat looks for and what a Filipino man looks for as they are different as most don't realize it even though some cross-overs.

Just by listening to her, she sounds high maintenance. She mentions she wants a guy who’s not jealous or controlling three times. That means she’s had issues in the past with this part of the relationship. Hopefully she’s not giving her partner a reason to feel that way…it’s mutual respect. Also, the comment about sharing “her partner’s” budget is understandable but I have a feeling it’s that old adage “what’s yours is mine, what’s mine is mine.” Not trying to be judgmental but that’s what I’m hearing. Most foreigners are looking for those Filipina qualities not western women attitudes.
What does she brings to the table? Her kids and herself to be taken care of with your life long earned money. A filipino guy would never give her a second look , but just for entertaimment....that's the dating reality there....😂

Financial security is the main draw for Filipinas. It's as simple as that. That has been my experience since I have lived here. That is why you see much older, not really attractive older men with money get young Filipinas. Let's be honest here. It is financial security. Without that, they are not interested.

Mike, I was listening to your guest's answer about a guy having money. Her answer about "sharing" money made her sound like a gold digger. If a guy is going to marry you they know, normally, that they have to provide for their wife plus kids. The position she took on sharing his money should be a red flag to most men. I think you saw that her answers would be interpreted that way, so you started leading her. Sorry!

It makes no difference what country she is from. If a woman is 38 yrs old and never been married, she has a high body count. Also she has 4 children. That matters to me. I will visit the Philippines, but I will be extremely selective when it comes to a relationship or marriage. Define a good Filipina? Weng mentioned that she lived with the father of her children, before she got pregnant. But she also quickly mentioned marriage. So did she get married or not? I am confused.

She seems like a nice Filipina but Filipina know that her pool for dating is slim, the Philippines is certainly ageist when it comes dating for women. And the Filipina know that ..that’s why Weng did not cut down her options about dating criteria. When dating it’s about your perception and outlook…i’ve dated numerous Filipina…lol 😂…but knew I would like a city middle class girl so that’s what I looked for…single.. no kids. GLTA.

Great interview Mike! Weng’s awesome and answered like a champ 💪🏼 The Filipina is so relationship focused it’d be interesting to hear why the split. You really have to (mess) up to have a good Filipina send you packing for good. If a Filipina ever dumps you, it’s time for an honest evaluation in front of a mirror. My bride is part of a FB group and the stories of what some of these young women put up with is flabbergasting.

What I wish you would ask her, and for the life of me I can't figure out, is how she is supporting herself and her 4 kids on 6500 TH-cam subscribers to her channel. Another vlogger you know has over 10000 subs and he said is making between $1-200 per month. Another well known vlogger who has over 50000 subs is making $2500 per month. Inquiring minds would like to know.
her rent is 8000 php and she can live on 500-800 usd no problem. And if the bloggers are that well known why are they making so little
