I love that in TS3 if your kid is sick and you cancel going to school you get a message, something like "thank you for not going in sick!"

@Kenyagirly pls tell me you are a Sims 2 player at least. If you're a Sims 4 player you're just bitter you didn't get to experience a game that the devs actually put some love into. Or that you wasted money on empty shells EA scams everyone into buying.

My sim in TS2 died from pneumonia but his wife was able to save him by challenging the grim reaper 😂 I couldn’t believe it

This made me realize that the sims 4 animations urk me so much. They’re well-animated, but it feels like they’re constantly clowning for the camera. It’s hard to get immersed when your sims are always *miming* at you instead of being in their own world

Apparently both the mummy’s curse and time paradox sicknesses are the only two illnesses that can kill sims in the Sims 3.

Sims 2 virus is such a pain. I had an entire epidemic in Strangetown, only I heal one Sims, the other get sick. Every time I logged into a family I got a lot of messages that (Sim) is sick. I made it into a plot, so an unknown plague is going around Strangetown, the Grunts are blaming aliens for everything, while the Beakers are just watching the chaos to unleash, with an access to cure. Good times
Flu is a pain to get rid of in the sims 2 if you have a full house 8 sim family. Whole household got sick because of one sim and everytime I cured one another still sick sim would reinfect them . In the end it got silly so I walled each sim in a separate room with a bed, fridge, shower and toilet so they wouldnt die (they had mobile phones for social and calling in sick) , and they could only have access to the rest of the house once they were cured. It worked but think it would have been an endless cycle otherwise.

It was like that in my case too, but in my case there were not 8 of them, but 5 of them, and I also made something like cages. And I locked up only one sim so that the rest wouldn't get infected😊
lol yes and university dorms too. I just always had someone make the chicken soup and then call everyone to meal as soon as anyone showed symptoms of anything!
This is the only game I'm literally terrified of my sims/characters getting sick! I vividly remember my sims only dying from getting sick or being pregnant as they/pregnant-sim, starve so quickly, and get mad every 3 seconds trying to command them to eat.
That or cloudwatching as it sends a satellite to come kill you after 3 sim hours give or take. Ah, Sims 2... how I miss you so. 😂❤

you forgot about a disease in the sims 3, this disease is present in the fryer that comes in the store, where there is a chance that the sim will receive the Indigestion modlet for eating too much fat and becoming ill
In the sims 2 there is a higher chance of catching a cold for elders who are working.
I think that you forgot about the Mold Disease from The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion pack because technically it is a disease and it is fatal.

I always wanted the sims, and now that I got sims 4 ( since its free :/) It kinda sucks seeing how much more detail the older sims games had then the new one and what Im missing/missed.

2:13 A very important correction - sims in vanilla game don’t progress into pneumonia, but it doesn’t mean your sims keep keep having just a cold, *the game just kills them*
In vanilla sims 2 colds are deadly and the mod actually makes them not deadly.
Yeah maybe it wasn't clear enough but the next B-roll I explain that it only works with a mod

One thing I think should be mentioned is the emotional illness from ts3, there's the trait that'll make your sims's other traits change from time to time and sims need to attend therapy at the hospital if you want their old traits back. Maybe you could compare mental illness from all the games in the future? (Ik there's a similar trait in ts4 and that in ts3 there's also the crazy/insane trait and that ts2 sims hallucinate sometimes but idk if it's all or if there's more)

There are also the NRASS mods for the sims 3 that adds a whole lot more sicknesses and diseases.

Apparently sims can get headaches in the Sims 2 especially when in debt which becomes fatal if left untreated but only on the PSP port

The first time a sim got pregnant in TS2 I didn't realize it, and I was really concerned about her throwing up all the time lol. Then she got her baby bump and I thought it was so cool!
You forgot the Sims 1: there’s a couple expansions that add diseases.
In Vacation, if your sim is on vacation, has low hygiene, and eats at a lot, they can essentially get diarrhea.
In one of the packs which gives you access to hamsters, if the hamster is in a bad mood they can bite any sims who play with them. Sims will have a chance of contracting a rodent themed disease, and if not treated they can die.

You know, I always thought the hospital lobby in TS3 looked really cozy... it's a shame that it happens to be the game that replaced everything with rabbit holes. XD

There are two lifetime happiness rewards in The Sims 3 that give sims immunity from sickness and sickness symptoms. One is from Island Paradise and it just gives them immunity from nausea. Then simmunity(likely from the Seasons pack) will give sims immunity from all sicknesses as well as nausea. As someone with emetophobia and anxiety, this is something I really wish existed in real life. I would have such peace of mind. 😭
MY sims constantly got colds in the sims 2 , i didnt know it was that rare
I made the mistake of adding in a disease mod in Sims 2, and lost about half the neighborhood to the flu. I had to take it out, because Grandma's Soup was barely working (as multiple doses were needed). In theory, the mod did as intended, albeit on steroids! 😂

There are more diseases than just poison from jungle adventure. I had one that I brought back from a temple and when my Sim was interacting with his family after he got back from vacation they got infected with the contagion.

When I used to have the sims 4 all the toddler sims would be so glitched for my game and the GTW diseases would pop up so much for one of my households. One of the toddlers also got a glitch texture to him and became one with the wall. Idk if it was since the toddlers I had were aliens or what else could've happened.😅

Vomiting isnt broken in ts4. Its A interaction on the sim themself and the toilet. It gives you the control to decide if your sim Vomits or is strong enough Not too. I can tell you Not every Person vomits from a bit of sickness.

Yes, the player can choose to make them vomit.
No, the feature is broken. There's a 50% chance of them vomiting when they get the nauseous moodlet (it used to work back in the days), go to the video description & go the additional ressources you'll find the info.
In the video you clearly see that the sim autonomously does the animation where he wants to vomit then immedietly stops, cause like I said, the feature is broken.
