Congratulations ...as it is your first flight
Thanks for not adding any music.
Please do another sail, and shoot the journey with a fixed cam, so that we can see your flight along with your feelings.
    Next time better luck.
    👍👏👏

You should fly a lot of touch & Go’s. Need to clean up your pattern flying a bit. congrats...

First ultralight flight? You flew the pattern. Smooth take off and landing. I’m jealous! Would love to find a nice simple airworthy ultralight. In the meantime I’ll just enjoy videos like this. Thanks

As a former pilot I can tell you that the number one thing I checked was fuel and then engine oil. One never knows what happens when your up there and your flight gets extended for some unforeseen reason. I also do an extensive walk around and safety inspection of the air frame etc.

I used to fly a Wizard and then a Lazair decades ago. Sure do miss it. First thought I had was use more rudder and less stick haha. I wish you many years of safe fun.

I bought A COBRA watch youtube learned to fly no training at all first flight was well will I do it correctly, sure did flew for about 50 miles had a hard time to find the strip I left at finnaly I found it landed ok any landing you walk away from is great as I was told by a pilot I am 77 and still fly the same cobra I love it , so good luck to you all be safe

How did you miss that runway light when you landed? I own two Quicksilvers. Neither have ailerons. One is an early weight shift and the other is an MX with spoilerons on top of the wings controlled by the foot pedals. They are not really need to fly as it turns well with just the rudder by stick. The spoilerons do give a little roll response but they are best used together to increase decent for short landings.

NICE! Why so much throttle on final? Was it because it was your first solo? Do you now throttle back and nose over for final and landing, or same way? Just curious, everybody has their preference. Do you practice 'deadstick', or throttle at idle landings now? Thank you, great flight and very nice MX

  • @Audidoodie

It is a dangerous idea for anyone to do this without at least some minimum flight instruction prior to soloing. Even if you have a GA pilot license, these aircraft are different and unique. It's not worth risking your life to do this otherwise.

Not bad at all for first attempt. Learn to use those rudder pedals! . . . that's the most difficult thing for low time pilots to learn . . . practice wiggling your tail!

    • @commentatron

And apparently it's also a good thing to keep the speed up in these lightly wing loaded, high drag birds.
