EXCELLENT! OUTSTANDING! Certainly, you scouted your route for electric transmission wires from safe altitude before your run. Also cool, is how you don't waste time taxiing to the hangar.
Hi Joe. I've watched most of the videos that you have posted and enjoyed all of them, but this is without a doubt my favorite. I love NOE flying and you captured it in it's essence. I have a Fisher FP-202 Koala with a Kawasaki 440 and can honestly say after watching your videos that a Legal Eagle would be a very, very close 2nd choice for an ultralight. I love the sound of that 1/2 VW engine. Just out of curiosity, How much does your Legal Eagle weigh dry and how long did it take you to build?
When I get my first ultralight, this is how I'm going to fly. Down rivers. Can you skim your tire in the water without nosing over? I know they do it all the the time with big fluffy tires on STOL aircraft for landing on beaches. But I should think if you were ballsy you could skim the water in your huffies. A bit way more dangerous because there is no upward resistance from going down more than a few inches, hitting mega drag, and augering in. Like I said, big steely balls required. Maybe I'll get the big fluffy tires.
Are these under the 103 class and is there any way i can hang out with you and Scott to learn about these I really like them and would love to see one up close
I always enjoy watching your movies. Thanks for making them.
My favorite, especially the 180 degree turn and landing at the end ...!!
Holy cow, that run over the river really gives a sense of just how slow this baby can go!

Good to see this one back Joe. still my Fav.
Used to fly my Weedhopper the same way. Low and slow and down close to the river. Whaddahoot !!
I have watched this video so many times!! I want to fly so bad, but this is about as close as I will ever get!
People who fly ultralights get the purest flying experience, it is the most fulfilling
Paramotorers are the true flying! I wish I came over my fear of the collapsing of the wing... I would fly paramotors without hesitating
fly early morning or sunset that is what makes paramotors safer than paragliding.
Sweet! Thanks for.the ride.
Awesome Video, shared this with a bunch of friends, very good flying!

Build one...it's become my fervent desire
Sailing into the sunset. Awesome video, thank you! One day I hope to be sailing with ya.....one day. Lottery gonna hit any day now

More like Joe’s favorite run I think.
Hello Joe, that showed a high disregard for safety, look how close you parked next to that hangar at the end, shocking....;-)
nice
How fast is it going ?
@ylism its a 30 hp "better half vw" engine - more info on wikipedia and the better half vw website :)
Are you still out there Joe?

Not exactly a LEGAL Eagle, is it? ;)
Mighty low for me.
Where can i get plans to build the legal eagle.
For free
flying was great although risky, but your engine sounds like crap - what is with the audio - it cant really sound like that can it?
