Takes me back to my old CGS Hawk...best ultralight I ever flew. I've got about 500 hours in Hawks. I flew from Kansas City to Oshkosh in mine a couple of times.
being hard of hearing I thought my dreams and hopes of flying were shattered until I found out that some planes don't have to fly in radio controlled airspace. Got logged in 23.5 hrs in a taylorcraft and .5 in a cessna 150. But I wasn't aggressive in pursuing my dreams until the ultralight and sports plane came out. Now I can go back on path of my dreams. Keeping fingers crossed. Planned on moving from Oregon to FL to save me over $22,000 a year. That will be perfect to get back into flying again.
It is one of my bucket lists most wanted things to do... I have always wanted to pilot an aircraft for real, but I have only gotten as far as around 5000 hrs. of flight simulator time... I flew many a RC plane and glider, but never a real plane... i have even flown a couple hundred hours of helicopter sim. ... I have come so close to flying as close as a few feet from a lot of aircraft, so before I leave this earth for what ever is intended for my here after, I want to fly a aircraft on my own...! I keep this dream alive in my heart for as long as it takes if ever at all.....
“Costed” isn’t a word in the English language. You got it right the first time, with “airplane COST me $10k.” But, that “COSTED $9.00 an hour to fly her,” is just some illiterate garbage.
Cool UL and nice video. Don’t forget to yell “Clear prop!” before you start up. Especially in a pusher. Sorry... My Paramedic side coming out.😉🤣 I wish my mind could forget what my eyes have seen!😵😂 Is that a full throttle takeoff?
i used to enjoy flying, then one day i realised how boring it was, sitting up there hoping the engine wasnt going to explode, constantly looking for a place to land if shit goes bad...plus i was working on a lot of performace engines at the time and looking at broken engine parts every day, i put 2 and 2 together and dont fly anymore. dont get me wrong if there was a fueled cessna in front of me right now and someone said you can take it up if you like id be in there faster than a cat after a mouse but all the legalities, airport clearance cards, medicals, flight checks, hiring payments, its just not worth it . i could have bought a house with the money i wasted flying.
Beauitiful flight, stay safe, and may God bless you all. God created flight so we can fly. God bless you all , Mr. Tony F. Stevens. Christian soldier for God in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Most problems happen over the runway, so if you use the entire runway, chances are, it'll happen on ground before liftoff. Better then trying to turn and emergency land.
ultralights u do not need a licence to drive as logn as you stay under a certain elevation i would however recomend u at least learn how to pilot a airplane
I ain't no pilot but even I know that was not much of any preflight. Please do not fly over anything or anyone. You checked nothing. You are another that will give the sport a bad name.
Ultra-light flying policy is only one person passenger/pilot, but this DUDE took his WHOLE CHANNEL WITH
Lol

john wayne hope your dream comes true
Keep up the hard work!
How did you find location for LSA certification? Chasing that dream as well but difficult to find options in Northern Kentucky area.
So how did it go???
Cost of living that high in Oregon?

Pay for an intro flight at a local school. Your dream is realized with a couple $100 bucks.
Jeez, $9 an hour to fly.
That’s friggin awesome.
Where do you see that?
Nice plane sir, looks so simple but fun to fly.
Airplane cost me $10k RTF....... costed me $9.00 an hr to fly her but ,150.00 a month to hanger her!
Thank you for the video. It's good to see that getting into the air doesn't need to cost as much as hanger rent each hour.
Ten grand for the plane.
dose $10K include engine and avionics?

UAVAdvertising take her home park in your garage ,that’s what I will do with my next plane .tired of paying hangar space to fly once monthly
I wish more angles of the plane would have been shown.
5:00 minutes in, me: "...what, are we driving there?"
I want to ride up front next time
Спасибо, я посмотрел с удовольствием. +1
Can't imagine a worse place to mount the camera. No forward view, no downward view. No view of the cockpit and pilot while flying. Wow.
check out the other videos for in cockpit video
Nah it lets me see the plane which is what I wanted. Nice angle
Should play the theme song for taxi!
That was like watching grass grow, only longer
In a sky full of people, only some want to fly. Isn’t that crazy? 👍😎
You enjoy to taxi more than flying🤔
? The video I just saw, was flying the whole time.
Awesome.
That looks a little like a "T"-bird. They used to sell them west of Des Moines, IA.

Is that a full throttle takeoff?
Needs some serious video editing

Thanks for sharing your story. You have inspired me to be mindful of the resources I will spend flying.
If it flys or floats...
I get it.
That was a pre-flight?!
Magnificent!
Might only be $8/hr to fly with some less taxiing 😛 Love the plane, bummer about the hanger expense though.
One day I hope I'm this guy. 🖒
Maybe mount the camera on a wing strut next time? With a little audio?
CLEAR PROP!
I fell asleep and the video was over when I awoke. What happened? ;-)
Great video!!!
OMG takeoff already... It's an ultralight, you don't have to taxi and back taxi all your fuel away
I believe it was more for the engine warmup
@@pabblo6103 yeah it is not like a car, plane engines take some time to warm up and get startes
It looked like he had a cross tailwind from the south-southwest so chose to take off from 35 rather than 17.

God bless you
Check out chinook plus 2, a canadian ultralight, a real performer
With cool mods like extended main gear, hydraulic brakes and tundra tires.
Fuel capacity and range per full tank?
5 gallons & about 2 hours of flight time.
Everything before 7:05 is him on the ground.
It must be like a greenhouse in that cockpit during summer.
Nope. The doors can be unzipped in flight or completely removed.
@@charlesradford3811 Good, I can't imagine how hot it would get in there on a summer's day.
these are ELSA arent they?...or do they fall under 103?
where can we buy one
Best
Part 103 no control tower.
Looking at the sock he took off with the wind not against it.
Did it ever get off the ground? Turned it off at 7:00 minutes. Got tired of watching drive around
Yup, it flys.
You literally stopped watching the video at the exact moment he took off
That's why you can fast forward.
How much is the cost of a kit for it?
The taxi took longer than the flight, have the go pro in the cockpit.
Not for me. I wanted to see the wheels lift off. He could have had two cameras though.
Why do you need to run that long on the runway to lift off?
Most problems happen over the runway, so if you use the entire runway, chances are, it'll happen on ground before liftoff. Better then trying to turn and emergency land.
What is this model? I like it!
Sir please give some information on building it??
which EFIS are you using with the iPad?
Zheesch... seems like you must have used half your fuel in the back taxi
Have you had any problems with the Hirth 2702?
How much for the plane?
Thanks
Probably around $9000
Does it make the FAR 103 weight limit?
👍👍👍👍👍👍
10k? Isn’t the engine 25 by itself?
Did you mention anything on speed?
Cool! Where?
F em if you need to agree to that BS before you can even get started
I want to buy it
I think I would rather have a ultralite helicopter
Is the engine a two cycle? Sure sounds that way.
Skål 🍺 🍺 🍺
O man $9 hr so now everybody can fly yeah : )
HANGAR, not hanger
A 'real' pilot would know that.
Hey can anyone give me an idea what a Lil Breezy single seat is worth.
what is the holdup fly the damn thing
Кататься или летать ?
Call terry short at 863-430-5829 tell him william sent you

Anyone knows where I can pay to fly these? Or do you have to own one?
he left out a hell of most of the info i wanted to know.
The company had a few SLA aircraft that they train people in the company has been sold to somebody in Ohio. I don't know what they're doing now.
@@UAVAdvertising Thanks

of course, all preflight done before you start the video
but I do know I do know many professional pilots that never check their aircraft
They still make these.

Bad camera angles
I fell asleep, nothing exciting to watch here, infact it was bloody BORING
???? Waste of ...
Misleading title.
Boring
When you're 2000 feet AGL you appreciate a boring flight.
