••UPDATE••
Hey guys in my new video Under Seat Storage at 4:25 I mention wires under the carpet and insulation. I said you have those if you have keyless entry, I meant to say "If you have Push Button Start" either way always use caution when cutting anything in a vehicle, especially under the carpet because depending on options wires could be run anywhere.

Brother, channel is costing me so much money !!!! Great content!!!
Hi, I have a question about material depth,
How deep is the hole?
I found some MFG, TRAYS 24X12X4 Solid HD plastic.
with a lip, 34$. Would this work?
@@Ryan-yi6su I’m sorry I have no idea of the depth without emptying and pulling it out. Does the manufacturer have dimensions on their web site?
Ya made me punch the subscribe button. I own a 2022 Tundra Platinum but I just love Tundra content so this was an awesome watch!
@@MyBeardBetter thank you, and thanks for watching.
If you have a push button start, for some reason, there is a wire that runs near/under that middle cut out. be sure not to cut that wire. I believe it is the 2021 push start model you have to be aware of that. supposedly if you cut that wire your truck wont start.
I just bought a 2021 SR5 Trail Edition absolutely love it and I’ve wanted more storage room in such a big truck and I look at the Tacoma and I believe Toyota should’ve done it but hey we’ve got the tools to do so but great content man keep the SR5 content your videos are really helpful
AFTER INSTALLING AND DRIVING YOUR TUNDRA IS THERE AN OTHER NOISES THAT CAN BE HEARD SINCE THE FOAM WAS REMOVED?
I could not tell the difference at all. The storage bin seals pretty tight. If you are worried about those sections you could put sound deadening on the exposed floor plan. Here is a link to sound deadening I used in my other vehicles. amzn.to/3AI9YOf
Hi I have a 21 Tundra and always wanted to install the extra storage, but I heard that the cab noisier tru or False great video
I’ve noticed no extra in cab noise. I run AT tires and they sound the same. If you run MT I would recommend putting down some extra sound deadening while you have access, it helps a lot and I did that in my Tacoma.
Thanks for the info. That's what was holding me up

Love it I'm going to have to do this to my trd pro. Good stuff man!
I just purchased this tonight, was so disappointed in the lack of stowage in the Crew Max. Like you said so spoiled with all the room in a Tacoma
Absolutely, one of the best mods I’ve done.
Great video and great job
This would be great for my road side kits and ratchet straps!
Absolutely
Very clean install. Nicely done. I'm thinking of doing this on my '17 CM but I'm not sure about cutting the insulation. I live in AZ where it can get 120° in the summer time. You are right though this should come as a standard from toyota.
Thank you. As for the insulation that is on each side of the styrofoam? After you cut it out you could place some reflective insulation under the bins to reflect the heat away from them. If you saw where the grommet was, that is just one layer of steel. As you move out towards the doors it is doubled up. That is why I was happy to find that access hole. Thanks for commenting and if you haven’t please subscribe I’m trying to upload a video every week.
You could always stuff the bins with the insulation you cut out when you arent using them. Still retains most of the insulation that way.
@@Luckingsworth I haven't noticed any excess noise or anything different since the install. Note: I don't have an after market exhaust just OE. As for modifying the bins, they are easy to remove and customize what underneath.
Where did you get the carpet for your tailgate?
That is made by "Bedrug" They make, the complete bed cover, the floor, or just the tailgate, It is synthetic and easy on the knees, plus completely waterproof and washable with a hose, etc. amzn.to/3Re7bp2
Ordered one this week. Install coming shortly.
I love mine, it’s full of stuff that I would otherwise have no place for.
@@828findadventureYou mentioned the ability to make “lids” or tops for the storage compartments. Any ideas as to where plastic lids could be obtained?
What year is your tundra?
21
Good info thanks
Thanks for watching.
Did you not have any wiring in the middle due to the push start? I have the exact same storage box haven’t installed it yet.
My truck is a 21 SR5, o I don't have push button start. Just be careful when you are close to center. Use a blunt knife or something, it's just styrofoam, so you can cut off little pieces and take your time. It's a pretty easy install, cutting the styrofoam and cleaning up the little pieces is the worst of it.
