    Beautifully explained. I'm doing my phd in Australia and read your paper on axial testing of sandwich panel. Learned so much from your work. Please make complete videos on ABAQUS regarding sandwich panel especially your work

    Good afternoon sir, I want to know if the CDP model takes into account the strain rate and if yes would you mind mentioning the formulae? Thank you in advance

    Hi mam if I have only compressive and tensile strength values how can I calculate stress-strain values??

    very good video, thx for the sharing. I have question that how can we get the E at every point on strain-stress curve? cause we know D=1-(E/Eoriginal), in order to get D, we need E and Eoriginal. we have Eoriginal already, but how can we get the E? it seems you can calculate the E from strain-stress curve directly, could you tell me how to do that? thx again.

      @@waninn thx for your reply, i check the video again, i think you mention the E at 10:00, im pretty sure you said "the E for each part is this ok, for this patches E according to this part", it seems you didnot show how to calculation the E from the strain-stress curve. maybe the E cannot be determined by only strain-stress curve?

    • @waninn
      @waninn  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnchen2022 the E is the slope for each points calculated from the stress strain curve based on the experimental data obtained. You can refer to ABAQUS manual for CDP graph which I explained in this video as well for how to calculate the D and E for each points. Thanks.

    Great video. But Madam how can I Determine Dilation Angle, Flow potential eccentricity, Stress invariant ratio and Viscosity parameter?

    • @waninn
      @waninn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hai Saiful Islam, if you are using normal concrete, you can use the data from previous studies. If you want to determine it from experiment, you need to go thru alot of testing including uniaxial and triaxial compression test. You shall refer to abaqus manual about the parameters. For me, I recommend you to refer to values from previous studies and validate it with your experimental result.

      Hi mam, I am a ph.d student, I need guideline to CDP model in ABAQUS.
      My queries are
      1) cube compression test will give single value, ur narration multiple point experimental data. What test to be performed??
      2) similarly in split tension we will get single experimental value.
      I need your help to complete my work, Hopefully waiting for your reply

      @@boopathyrajapl187 Hai, if you are using UTM machine, it can be obtained from the load and vertical replacement applied from start to softening, just need to do proper set up with prescribed displacement. But, if your machine is not capable to do it, then you need to use strain gauge and get the reading. Hope this explanation is helping you. Good luck!

  • @hamzadjeffal9240

    If we do not have our proper experiment, generally i use EUROCODE stress-strain relation. Is that okay ?

    • @yz5236
      @yz5236 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have the same question here. I dont see any issue with the compression part. It is mainly the tensile stress-strain that we dont have the Eurocode data to support
