dear sir when i apply tis method to cross check my calculations using the B20 given in table , the values of inlastic is different from the given in table of b20 , I have cross checked my calculations 5 times but the value does not match with the table ,please help me, I am stuck at this point

I have one query. For concrete behaviour in compression, you assumed the curve linear till 0.5 sigma cu, and corresponding to that point you obtained the modulus of elasticity, fine. But as we know damage parameter accounts for the degradation of elastic modulus, so how come it is having zero value till the maximum compressive stress (sigma cu), because after the point corresponding to stress 0.5 sigma cu, the curve is not linear anymore, it is non-linear and the value of E is not the same anymore, and so for accounting this degradation of E, there must be some value of damage parameter in between the zone of 0.5 sigma cu to sigma cu. But you obtained the value of damage parameter only after the attainment of peak stress. Can you please clarify and explain?

is not working for other models? because high-strength concrete has a different strain than you use.

Did you assumed the stress values at the beginning?

Thank you for your video but I could not understand a value about tension part (28:02 minutes). Where did you obtain the first value of tension stress. Please, clarify for me. Thanks in advance.

According to India standard code IS-450 , tensile strength of concrete can be assumed 0.7 multiply root of comprehensive strength of concrete. Please refers clause no 6.2.2, pg no.16 of IS:456 code .

@@raghubharathallada6825 Sir, KP model requires us to use ultimate compressive strength of cylindrical specimen. So,while finding out tensile strength of concrete as per IS code..which value of concrete strength shall we use??? cubic or cylindrical?? ,,i guess we should use cubic strength as IS code defines cubic specimens in its test for compressive strength.

for calculating stress and elastic strain at the first step, Can not we just put some strains like 0.0005 for each step and calculate stress by that strain? then we can calculate inelastic strain easily. and there will not need to solve equations for strain. is that possible? because some stress-strain equations are not that easy to solve

No,I videos I have posted all are part of by Masters thesis. The thesis we present must be supported by valid research work. I my case the the research work I took as base have taken taken 0.002 strain at peak stress .
