    Hi Bob! The content and quality of your videos is excellent and the length is perfect. I greatly look forward to seeing each new adventure. I'm 70 years old and purchased and rode my first ever PWC - a SeaDoo GTX - late last summer. I enjoy all the great tips and reviews which form part of your videos, and look to learn something with each one, as well as to enjoy the beautiful scenery. You recently did a test of your extendable paddle, and have reviewed your latest SeaDoo, provided maintenance tips, explained how you handled the occasional issue (rope in the intake), provided drone information and I like to see how you tie up your PWC, what fenders you use, riding tips for rougher water, safety gear you use......basically anything that makes me more confident in using my SeaDoo safely and enjoying the life. Thanks for all you do, and please continue with these great videos. I live in the 1000 Islands area so adventures in eastern Ontario particularly appeal to me.

  • @MojoPin1983
    @MojoPin1983 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Long videos are just fine. I wouldn’t even mind them being over thirty minutes.
    If I have one gripe, though, it’s that I’d prefer you to do more comprehensive tours of the lakes, highlighting the cottages and natural features. For example, Lake Vernon has a massive island known as Big Island, which would have made for a great drone capture. Said lake also has plenty of dramatic, rocky hills that line its northwestern edge.
    I lied, I actually have a second gripe. Both times that you’ve visited Peninsula Lake, you’ve only traversed - or at least filmed - the bay opposite the Deerhurst residences, leaving most of the lake unexplored. Any boat or jet ski ride on Pen Lake feels incomplete without visiting Wolf Bay, at its eastern edge. It is a really serene bay with three dramatic mountains, with the eponymous one having large outcroppings jutting out from the hillside; one of which is a fairly well-known lookout spot that people sometimes hike up to (see the Wikipedia page for Peninsula Lake to see a photo from said lookout).
    Additionally, here is some local history: the largest island on the lake (Hills Island) was named after Reverend Robert Norton Hill, who built his home on the island.
    “In 1867, the Reverend Robert Norton Hill, came to Muskoka to seek land for himself, his four sons and two daughters. He located 700 acres of good clay/loam soil on the shores of Peninsula Lake, east of Huntsville on what is now Highway 60. He blazed a Trail called Hill’s Trace (now Highway 60) and as the first pioneer in the district, he opened a Post Office in 1878 called “Hillside,” which later became the name of the community.” - Lake of Bays United Churches.
    If you can get your hands on a copy, there is an excellent book entitled, Penlake: Reflections on Peninsula Lake, which details the history of the lake, which has ties to American families in Pittsburgh and elsewhere.
    Next time you visit, while passing under the Canal Rd bridge (heading toward Peninsula Lake), there is a plaque mounted to a concrete foundation in the water that details the canal’s construction. Here is description from Wiki: “The canal was excavated in 1888 to facilitate access to Peninsula Lake by large steam ships. Before the canal was created the area consisted of a small stream and wetland.”

    Another great video, Bob! Hope to have you come back down to my region, Kingston - 1000 islands, catch up a ride with you!
    My Navionics renews in August, but if it's that much, I highly doubt I will renew. Also, I've had to paddle an older GTX Limited 3-4 miles back to shore a few years ago. Yeah.....the paddle serves no real purpose other than taking up space.
    For a while and perhaps it still might be this way, but long form content was starting to trend instead of hypercutting and ADHD style editing. I try to keep my videos 15-20 minutes but I also tend to feature less dialogue and more scenery/riding footage.
