U can literally see they value pleasing a certain group of people ( u know who ) than just making quality movies/series. If ur gonna empower people don´t use marvel as a platform, a fuckin superhero movie producer. Couse we littarly have comic books to base these movies off. No need to fiddle with the source material.

    Morgan Freeman said the way to get rid of racism is to stop talking about it, to stop looking at things as black and white. The reason the earlier Marvel movies were entertaining were because it was plot led. The characters spoke for themselves without being preachy or pushing an agenda.

      They think you are all the same and "representing" a black person in one of their movies "represents" you, as though you are no different from each other simply because your skin has the same hue. We have literally come full circle back to objectively racist rhetoric being passed off as "representation and diversity." It is no different from a white person in the 19th century telling other people that all bl.ac.ks are stupid and once you've seen one, you seen them all. That is what it is, and it is disgusting, and I call it out in person whenever I can. Holy shit, do these people even realize what they are doing, or is this all intentional?

It would've have to show T'challa having to dodge attacks that would been lethal and raise the stakes. The Same Scene We Saw In Civil War. When He Fought Bucky In the Stair Scene Without The Suit.
    Panther was Showing Off his Super human
    Strength and Skills. If the Movie Did That, The Fight Scenes Would Of Been Way Better. It would of shown the true power of the Black Panther.

I think they’re afraid to give anyone a weakness, because someone would cry “they represent my group and you’re portraying them as weak!” The worst example that I can think of is “The Harder They Fall”. If you’ve ever seen a Will Smith character, that’s every character in the movie. They’re all too cool, wisecracking, smooth talking, condescending, sarcastic, geniuses. There's got to be !representation! for every victim group (except for straight white men and women, naturally), female or whatever-imaginary-gender non-white characters are stunning and brave and super-smart and can do no wrong. Except they're insufferable, fascistic, boring, endlessly signal politics, and everything else you no doubt took notice of in this movie. Picture years of comic books with that kind of bullshit.
      Yes, Riri got her start in the comics, and she's even worse in them. She stole Tony Stark's tech to make her own suit...how heroic, huh? Other really terrible characters who are an insult to women include Captain Marvel and America Chavez (they were honestly awesome once before woke writers retconned them both), Ms. Marvel Kamala Khan, Squirrel Girl...I'd keep going with the list, but I'd rather not make myself weep over how horribly women are insulted!

      “In their relations with Negroes, white people discovered that they had rejected the very center of their own ethical professions, “They could not face the triumph of their lesser instincts and simultaneously have peace within. And so, to gain it, they rationalized - insisting that the unfortunate Negro, being less than human, deserved and even enjoyed second class status … White men soon came to forget that the Southern social culture and all its institutions had been organized to perpetuate this rationalization. They observed a caste system and quickly were conditioned to believe that its social results, which they had created, actually reflected the same world"

    In the comics, Riri Williams became Iron Heart after she reverse engineered one of Tony Stark's Iron Man suits. The way you make it sound, they have retconned her origin in the MCU to make it so that she didn't have to rely on a man to get her start as a superhero. That would be par for the course. They even ruined She-Hulk's origins. In the comics, she was saved by Bruce Banner when he gave her a transfusion of his blood. In the MCU, his blood accidentally got into a cut she received from a car accident they were both in. There is literally no reason to change these origin stories except to remove any connection to men that these characters may have.

Oh, and to power the suit, he needed access to a power source that could jump start the reactor, something even he needed to get rare access to, something that could drain an entire city's power grid, easily.

Also, Riri literally commit multiple crimes by doing another students work so she should be immediately expelled from MIT. Breaking the law and risking being expelled, for a couple hundred bucks as an engineer, is NOT a genius move. If anything it makes her a villain. • @0Defensor0
      @0Defensor0 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@witchplease9695 I'm only a casual fan, so unfortunately I can't give you a complete list of black female characters in superhero stories. I know that there is Storm who was the leader of the X-Men, and Monica Rambeau who was the original (and most popular version of) Captain Marvel and the leader of the Avengers.
      May I tell you something weird? It seems like that in Mexico, Dragon Ball and Goku are just as popular if not more, than Christianity and Jesus. Which would mean that the people in Mexico are being inspired by the modernized Japanese interpretation of a Chinese myth - if I'm following this correctly. They have absolutely nothing in common! But you're telling me that black women are unable to be inspired by anyone who isn't an other black woman? Why? This wasn't the case with the original Star Wars movies for example, a lot of people regardless of their gender or skin color liked and were inspired by Luke.
      As for Riri, if I remember correctly, her teacher originally told her that she can be anything she want, thanks to the achievements of the countless black women before her. But she demanded to be told that she can't be something, to take it as "inspiration" and prove that her teacher was wrong. And instead of her teacher telling her something that is physically impossible (like breathing in space for example), Riri was told that she will never be Ironman. Her motivation to gain super powers is spite, which logically means that she should be a villain instead, or at least an anti-hero.
      And speaking of representation in media, Riri's "character" is black woman, and her "trait" is being better than everyone, especially white men - which seem to overlap with an awful amount of black female characters nowadays. Unless we're talking about an already popular character who has been blackwashed for exclusively marketing reasons, a trend that disproportionately affects gingers for some weird reason.
      The industry throws you the smallest thing that technically counts as a bone, and you're happy about it! Why is the least available enough for you? Why don't you demand more? Why don't you demand better?
