Even if Marvel doesn’t go out of business, they’ll keep losing money if they don’t turn things around in phase 5. Otherwise, they’ll lose more and more viewers and money each year. They may not go bankrupt, but they may stagnate, become a stale, dead fad, and be forgotten into obscurity. By the looks of things, I predict in the next ten years, comic book movies will be dead or barely anyone will go see them, as Marvel killed them like shooting a dead horse. As video game movies of revised quality take their place as the new decades long blockbuster fad. The Sonic movies and the Super Mario Bros movie seems to be for foreshadowing of this. Only time will tell if this comes to pass.
How do I know this is absolutely true? My daughters, now 17 and 19 grew up watching Marvel movies, they could not wait for the next one. We excitedly bought figures to display on their shelves and posters on their walls. They went opening night for "End Game" and it was titled way too correctly. I asked my daughter (17, senior in high School) right around the Loki series. "So I know you haven't been watching new Marvel stuff, what about your friends?" "My friends no longer watch Marvel, nobody cares about them anymore" Those figures once adorned her shelves? All gone, sold at a garage sale or put on a shelf out of her room. She always like Anime, nothing on her shelves and walls but Anime now. Comic Con? She used to buy Marvel gear and Cosplay Marvel characters and her friends did too. Now, she makes her own Anime costumes. So yeah, the M She U failed miserably.
The anime industry is banging with all its creativity, stunning visuals, not holding any punches, telling a story for what it is, in some cases just making something fun to watch (because story sucks) and they cater to their audience. It's just natural for marvel and Disney and DC to lose fans to another medium of entertainment that never ceases to amaze.
I'm done with marvel dog, this feminist parasites are slowly corrupting the MCU. DC just got reboot and if that one gonna be infected as well I'm done no more hype movies Soon more movies will be infected, even cartoons gonna be worse. And even games which have storyline over few years and random women empowerment took over it and ruin the plot also scares me. Instead of having Kang Dynasty Women Dynasty and Women Wars instead.
As a card carrying African, RDJ's Ironman inspired me to go into computer science and develop a passion for technology and innovation. Telling me I haven't been represented because of the skin color of the actor I'm watching is actually stupid and insulting.
That is awesome you were so inspired to get into computer science! Unfortunately, the woke won't be interested in your opinion because you're not saying the only thing they want to hear. I'm a woman and I cannot stand these "girlboss" characters. They are insufferable, not inspirational. They're so obnoxious I want nothing to do with whatever movie or show they're in. I equally cannot stand the degradation of male characters. My opinion is not welcome, either. 😄🙌
It's very dismissive when others say that Black people cannot look up or see themselves in non-Black characters. What makes story telling interesting is how skin color does not matter when it comes to relating to someone, it is the qualities and hardships that bring us together. I don't expect stories to have a representation of every aspect of a very specific singular person such as myself or my neighbor etc., that would be nuts and literally impossible to appease everyone! It just comes down to some people being narcissistic or ungrateful.
It is insulting to us all. For years we have preached about not judging someone according to their skin color and now that seems to be all they want to do. I wanna see your iron man tech when you figure it out. Good luck
@jolothebarbarian It's probably more damaging to have a Black "activist/advocate" tell you when you're young that "you'll never see your people represented." It creates this simple-minded and near tribalistic thought process, which has caused some Black men and women to just resent everything, turn to victimhood, and focus on the bad when something bad does happen. Instead of telling young Black people that they aren't represented, encourage them (or literally everyone) that there have been trailblazers before them that have made it possible to accomplish something now more than ever.
I’ve read maybe 50 articles in the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times over the last six months about Disney’s shortcomings, and never once did they address the real problems with Disney’s failures. Your commentary gets to the root of their problems in the first minute of this video. Your content is priceless for investors.
For anyone at any level, especially those with monetary interests, look up ‘Blackrock’. Disney are pandering to that, as is most modern media, because they get paid to. That’s how they can continue to make money draining shows and movies.
@@liquidiced Larry Fink at Black Rock is calling the shots behind the scenes. But who is giving the orders to Fink? That's the real story. The truth will be too much for most to accept.
DISNEY DOESNT NEED CUSTOMERS. They're brilliantly waiting for inflation to defacto eliminate their debts, and negative interest rates so Disney gets paid for taking out loans. Disney is playing 4D chess, the customer has become obsolete.

Exactly! Bruce Banner views the Hulk as a curse and has been sitting aside years and years to master himself. The meditations, mindfulness exercises, anger management, seclusion and life philosophy that he has spent so much time cultivating is all tossed aside as a joke in She Hulk. She easily masters the hulk form and goes back to being a lawyer in 1 mintage. It was a slap to the face of all the Bruce has gone through.

@@bigboee415 no I don't think I would. I just think people are taking this too seriously. Maybe She doesn't see she hulk as a curse because she lives in a society were superheros are celebrated now. Hulk was literally taking selfies with fans in end game why would she feel like her hulk is a curse? It's been established since the early comics she can change her forms more easily and control her power easier so why would she need the same amount of training? On top of all of that she has a hulk training her who already knows all the ropes which Bruce didn't. It only makes sense that it wouldn't take as much time or training. As for them playing it off as a joke that's just fans not being happy with anything. When heros like hulk and Thor were in super serious movies people wanted to complain they were boring and now that the movies are comedic they say there not serious enough. You know what I'm saying?

The best part of all of this is that Gary was the very first to call out the "M-SHE-U." I'll never forget the first time I heard that when he made his prediction about it after seeing the upcoming phase four lineup before any of those movies and shows launched. Gary, you even have the mainstream media saying it. I smile and chuckle every time I hear someone outside of your channel and the fellowship say it.

The only patriarchy I as a woman have ever actually faced is a man wearing makeup trying to tell me I was insensitive and unkind for calling him “sir”.

@@sigma6656 It started already. That place is full of lunatics now. What happened w/Pathfinder/DnD will happen w/Warhammer. The YA book line is already 100% garbage. Then they ruin everything and tell people to go find their own thing. On the plus side, usu these places go bankrupt as long as ppl stop buying. The worst case is what happened with Disney/Marvel. Acquisition for the IP. Marvel comics hasn't been profitable in at least 2 decades but they're a blip for a F100. DIS keeps them around for brands/storylines/characters to swipe. The only female hero I thought was cool in recent years was Alita battle angel. I rewatched it again the other day. She’s the only female hero I can think of in recent years that didn’t crap on all the men in the show. She actually was a very humble character for how OP she was 😅
To add insult to injury- of the 27 badass female heroes/villains introduced, NONE of them are even smoking hot/sexy- which could at least engage my attention with something visually pleasing. There’s MAYBE like 5 who I’d call attractive at all, but not w/ their character design. They purposely make characters with zero redeeming qualities
The MCU is such in a bad state that Disney has just fired the CEO Bob Chapek! In Phase 4 Nerdrotic says that 15 male characters were introduced and 5 were killed and 27 female characters were introduced and 0 were killed.
Chapek at least came in saying they were to focus on stories and not agendas. He came in just as Covid devastated their movie and resort business as well as inheriting a boat load of projects in development which couldn't be killed. Frankly the first we could really have expected to see any turn around was MCU Phase 5, not that I care as I left with Endgame. Iger is really the one who drove them to this point and is now taking back over meaning it will only get worse for MCU and Star Wars (I left that one with Johnson's disaster). Suddenly Zaslav coming in to WB and immediately swinging the axe makes a whole lot of sense. Better to kill the abominations in process, take the loss, and begin repairing the brand. Letting it run its course to correct it down stream may not be an option when the Board of Directors decides to toss you out in just two years.
Let us not overlook the fact that the only reason a lot of young boys ever picked up a comic book was because of the female costumes. I know that the irony won't go over Disney's head because their reflexes are too fast they would catch it
I was shocked when, adopting the term M-She-U, I outed myself as a misogynist… because I’m a female nerd and a (lapsed) comic fan/collector. I’ve added the badge to my istaphobe collection.

I have a lady friend that jokes with me about that same sort of topic, it's not just you. They're catering to only a very specific demographic and ignoring any real feedback.
The most amazing thing to me is that Kevin Feige and the other executives basically looked at all the things that destroyed Marvel Comics and said, "hey! Let's do that in the movies!" It's like if you saw someone standing on the edge of a platform overlooking a huge pile of shit staring at a giant sign that read "Don't jump! Huge pile of shit!" and then after eight seconds of clearly reading the sign they jump in head first! with their mouth open into the huge pile of shit.
"They're slinging the same shit that the jocks did in the eighties." No truer words have ever been spoken. Mainstream Media/Access Media/Hollywood's disdain for nerds is so obvious that they might as well be wearing signs that say "I hate the fans." I wish I could go back to when I was just bullied by other girls for liking "boy stuff" (i.e comic books and superheroes) instead of now when the bullies are pretending to be fans and ruining everything I love.
I warned many of this when Stan passed, he's rolling in his grave at hyper speed over this b.s. the level of disrespect by Disney is mind blowing, taking a 100 year legacy and literally flipping it on its head to drown. R.I.P. marvel, you were nice while it lasted

Yeah mate, it was sad to let it go. A lot of us grew up loving this stuff in secret because it was social suicide if anyone knew you were into it. To have it used to lecture us on tolerance/inclusion/acceptance/etc is pretty weak.
I remember that, before The Dark Knight trilogy, superheroes were seen as ultra nerdy, and me, amongst most who were interested in those stories, were made fun of because of it. Most of the people who were dicks in highschool and probably made fun of those who liked comics and superheroes, are now the ones who are in the writing room and/or directing it. Their disdain for the characters is clear, and their projects are just for their own pure vanity. She Hulk is the perfect embodiedment of these kinds of people.
Superheroes were still weak minus Hulk and Spiderman who weren't beayen by women. Even Dolph Lungrens punisher was KOed by a flimsy woman. Hollywoods agenda is to I'm emasculate men and venerate the woman. Atomic Blonde, Kill Bill to name a few

But the very @ssh0les who had no interest in nerd culture and made fun of us for having the said hobbies, who now see the very stories they dissed take the peak position, like the bandwagoning npcs that they are, now want to see their narcissistic selves reflected in these stories. And then I thought "Man, I hope they recast T'Challa and make sure they continue what Boseman had started". Not saying that Shuri couldn't become The Black Panther but surely that wasn't the plan. The 1st Black Panther movie was good, not as good as the mainstream media would have us think but good enough. I have a hard time believing that if they had recasted for T'Challa, there is no way the sequel would have been as bad as what we ended up with. I feel the best way to honor a man who worked on a project while fighting for his life would be to finish the project in alignment with the original vision. They changed everything and used his passing to score emotional points for their mess of a sequel. Disgusting. My opinion! Keep up the good work Nerdrodic!!!
I just hate that these people want us to respect these characters but they dont do anything to earn our respect. Tony has our respect cuz he earned his powers and sacrificed himself. Spiderman has respect cuz even tho he didn't "earn" his powers, and was on the wrong track at the start, he crossed obstacles and barriers to earn our respect. And none of them ever played the victim card.

I am so freaking glad that you have addressed this M She U issue. I am a comic book nerd for childhood. You are absolutely right that the people making these movies have never read a comic book in their lives! I was so excited when the first Marvel movies came out. Finally technology had caught up to the point were the special effects were extraordinary. Marvel were exceptional in their casting (save for 1 or 2 examples like the should've kept Terence Howard and would've liked to see Edward Norton do another Hulk). But then they had to screw it all up with this female superhero agenda. No I am not a toxic Male or misogynistic. I loved the Black Widow character and Scarlett Witch, but why do they always have to make the Male superheroes so lame just to introduce the female ones?? How about the male characters who has been superheroes much longer teach the new female versions of themselves how to be a superhero. No, they just obtain these powers and immediately become better than their male counterparts. That's just asinine! I have stopped watching Marvel movies. Let's be honest, comic books from which these movies were adapted from, were and always will be a male dominated entertainment. Disney's attempted to appease female audiences is a failure. So unless they change course, they will continue to lose audiences. They had a great formula, if it's not broke don't fix it!!
How are the female superheroes making the male superheroes lame? Besides she hulk what are the other female superheroes that instantly knew what they were doing with spontaneous new powers? I mean I can name a few male superheroes that instantaneously had knowledge and wisdom with the new powers but besides she hulk what are the other female superheroes? I am genuinely curious.

Luke has less official training, but he mostly gets he's training from either Yoda or kenobi. luke finds kenobi's journal and studies it learning basic form 3 principles , none of which rey really goes through she meditates ALOT or just absorbed the experience of more trained individuals...which is at best cap at worst lazy fucking writing. Second, why did EVERY Male hero get replaced??? Almost every male hero gets replaced by a female. You can't name 5 that haven't been replaced and you for sure can't name 1 that haven't been absolutely schooled by a female character MULTIPLE fucking times in the films that they're in! Stop the cap , your misandry is showing.
@@silentheroalphaking551 Rey grew up learning to fend for herself on Jakku as shown by her fighting skills in Episode 7. Then she was briefly trained by Luke in Episode 8 and trained by Leia between the events of 8 and 9. As stated in the movie and shown at the beginning. Most of her training is shown off screen similar to Luke’s and Anakin’s off screen training. Also the Kenobi journal is a retcon that also shows Luke’s off screen influence similar to Rey so thanks for more evidence of how off screen power shows how a character can be strong. Also again Marvel heroes are not being REPLACED, the characters themselves are legacies that new heroes have adopted and continue. Both in Marvel and DC this is shown (Green Lantern, Batman, Superman, Captain America, Hawkeye, etc). Kate Bishop is not replacing Clint Barton as a character she is becoming a new version of Hawkeye so his legacy can continue if he dies or retires (similar to how Captain America gave her the Hawkeye name in the comics). To stay on the Hawkeye example Bishop never outdoes Barton at any point in the show. Did I respond to everything?

I called scamcast (comcast) to drop ESPN and the Disney Channel, what they told me was the only way they can drop those channels was for me to cancel my TV subscription. I understand now why my boy's won't have nothing to do with the M C U programing. They said they was not interested in girl shows. Thank God I raised my boys right and not left. Men are the strength of our country. I was in construction for 40 years and seen two females that could do the job but both of them were men with long hair, my mistake.
Out of the roughly 700 marvel characters, ~27% are female. The MCU has introduced around 102 characters, 51 females and 51 males. So yes, when your female population represents 27 percent of the 700 characters but out of the 101 characters established in the MCU, %54 of women are represented while only %14.5 of male characters are currently represented in the same universe. If this current trajectory continues, they will run out of new female characters by phase 6
Remember in - I don't remember whether it was Secret Wars 1 or 2, but there was a scene where James Rhodes, who was the new Iron Man at the time, straight up told the Avengers that he was not the same guy in the armor? He wanted to warn them that now that they were in a high-pressure situation, that he wouldn't know all the shorthand that they could have taken for granted from his predecessor's years of experience with them. Their response (I think it came from Cap) was basically, "thanks for your honesty; YOU haven't earned your place here yet." They might have been willing to cut him some slack because Tony trusted him with the hardware, but it was taken as a given - by BOTH sides - that the suit didn't make him an Avenger. The suit carried the name of Iron Man, but the man inside was not due any of the respect that came with that name until he had proven himself worthy of it. I repeat: Both Rhodey and the Avengers took that as a GIVEN. And no hard feelings either way. Now, with so many of these Phase Bore Females, just the opposite is expected. We are supposed to consider them as heiresses to their predecessors' character arcs just because their powers bear a resemblance to the original. That's ridiculous. Their appreciation needs to be earned, just as the Guardians' needed to be (remember how everyone thought that movie was a bad idea ?)

This industry is having a misconception that "representation" means compensation.

When was that? after End Game
🤔
How do I know this is absolutely true?
My daughters, now 17 and 19 grew up watching Marvel movies, they could not wait for the next one. We excitedly bought figures to display on their shelves and posters on their walls. They went opening night for "End Game" and it was titled way too correctly.
I asked my daughter (17, senior in high School) right around the Loki series. "So I know you haven't been watching new Marvel stuff, what about your friends?" "My friends no longer watch Marvel, nobody cares about them anymore"
Those figures once adorned her shelves?
At least your kid is smart !!! Here in India, MCU fanboys are still going nuts over mediocre movies !!!

I mean End Game concluded the story they'd been telling since Iron Man. The dip in quality isn't that surprising.
I'm done with marvel dog, this feminist parasites are slowly corrupting the MCU. DC just got reboot and if that one gonna be infected as well I'm done no more hype movies
Soon more movies will be infected, even cartoons gonna be worse. And even games which have storyline over few years and random women empowerment took over it and ruin the plot also scares me.
Instead of having Kang Dynasty
Women Dynasty and Women Wars instead.
Off course you wasn't represent. You are a victim and you don't know it😂

The article Gary read from 2018 quoting Kevin Drive saying that eventually The Marvel universe will be more than half female superheros is what I think spawned the term M-She-U.
Gary came up with the term.

I remember a world where I was extremely excited to see new Star Wars and Marvel projects. Used to HAVE to go see the new MCU movie that came out because everything is connected and I generally enjoyed them. Disney has ruined both
I was at the theaters opening day for the beginning of the MCU. Now I can care less. I'm not even excited for the Xmen because I know they are going to screw that up. I just hope they dont ruin Blade or any Marvel horror property. I wont even begin on the Star Wars fiasco lol.
@@blkjedi Same. I am actually sad that MCU has the rights to X-men now. I was so excited when the idea of having X-men in the same world the old MCU movies were set in, but as the day when X-men will appear in the MCU draws closer, my excitement keeps turning into dread. They're going to mess it up so badly. It's not even a matter of "maybe they will", I'm sure of it! xD

@@NickSST oh they will screw it up. They are already talking about race swapping and gender swapping a bunch of characters and it is sad because they don't even need to do that. The Xmen as they stand has a good enough representation in my opinion
@@misanthropicattackhelicopt4148 that is very true. The last marvel movie I saw in the theater was Endgame. I used to see them all opening day. I would take a half day from work to catch the afternoon show. Those days are gone now. With the killing of Tony Stark, aging Steve Rogers and making Hulk an idiot there is nothing that grabs my immediate interest as a must see, etc.
For me the MCU consists of the first 22 films (even the slightly questionable ones that started to show the cracks, simply for context) and the last 2 Spiderman films to serve as an epilogue for 24 films total.
It will never be anything more than that.
It’ll be a miracle if they ever recapture that momentum and glory.
The dad from the rings was a great character. His character arc and flaws shown in that one movie were amazing in showing what character building can be done in so little time. Killing him off was a bit premature. It would be like Luke killing Vader in a New Hope
True! It's great to have a villain who does bad things for a good reason.
Yep, much like Thanos he actually had an interesting backstory that could have been built on and given his death more weight in a later film.

This proves my theory that feminism will either bounce off the glass celing or shatter it. I honestly feel bad for 13 y/o ish boys.
@@shanayacarriere926 They cant answer that. Their go to is Rey from Star Wars except she has as much training as Luke and less than Anakin so. It’s so dumb
@@borgchap1191 what you wrote makes no sense. First off, Rey doesn't get training at all ! If she does who trained her ??? Anakin was trained for YEARS in the order by kenobi and a few others, there's literally books about Anakin being trained. Second, why did EVERY Male hero get replaced??? Almost every male hero gets replaced by a female.
