      Vito Bratta of White Lion. The tone on his solo for "Little Fighter" sounds so crisp.

    Hello, could you help me with a question?
    I have captured my amp and I want to save the file on my pc or on a flash drive, but it has been saved in Tonex as a tone model, not as a preset and I cannot export it. Could you tell me how I can export my own capture to my hard drive?
    I would also like to know if there is a difference in capturing in Advanced mode or in Default mode

    whoa, it sounds believable. I was secretly hoping if you could throw a way more difficult task at this box (e.g. capture Zoom 505 or Line 6 Spider III) XD

    Did you compare the sound of the amp plugged directly in vs through the capture box? It looks like you have a lot of attenuation set on the box, all the way right is 0 attenuation

    Guys I am trying to use ToneX capture to Direct capture my Friedman small box 50 head. I have a UAD Apollo twin and I just can’t get the line 3 output to send a signal…please help my brothers!🙏🏽

    I don't believe these guys missed the most important part of the IK Multimedia's capture box!!!
    You're supposed to use the right part of the device much more than the left part. The right part allows us to capture the electric output going to the speaker instead of using a mic. This way it creates a much more accurate model (fully electric signal path so no acoustic issues but more importantly full tonal range!!) and offers the ability to switch IRs later on.

    A high end RTX graphics card greatly decreases the time it takes to model the amp.

    Does anyone know how I could use the Tonex to capture a kemper profile?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Rose Parade. You could be able to do that using the Tonex Capture box. Seems like it would be the same routing as you would use for an amp capture without a cab, since you wouldn’t be micing anything. That would also give you the option of capturing it with or without the cab in the Kemper just by turning that block on or off.
      Thanks for your interest!

    The obvious question to me, is if you change the setting on the amp and change the setting on the captured amp how accurate would the capture be to the real thing? So if you did a capture at the drive level used in the video, but then turned them down to clean or edge of breakup, it probably won’t match so well, since the “capture”, like a photograph, was taken only of that particular region of the amp’s range. Great for people who only ever play with one sound/tone.

    • @mikfenn
      @mikfenn ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its only a capture of that amp at that moment in time, they can clean up if you roll your guitar back somewhat. The differnce is its a "capture" not a "modeler". You would have to make multiple captures to have various settings.

  • @GillRigged

    Does anyone know whether or not you can use this to capture a modeler preset such as the Helix? The ToneX would fit nicely on my pedalboard and to not have to lug around my Helix Floor would be even nicer.

      You can run line input into the Capture so it should be possible. Peale capture Kemper profiles but not sure they use the capture box.

    Can you create captures with just an interface? Without using the TONEX Capture Reamplification Box?

    • @kerrykroger7323
      @kerrykroger7323 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will still need a re-amp box of some kind, and either a load box or Microphones...

    • @djole02
      @djole02 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes you can. You just need a microphone or a DI box with attenuation to capture either the acoustic output (mic) or the electric output of the amp (DI box). You don't need a reamp box unless you have ground loop issues.

    The piece I'm having trouble wrapping myself around is: why do you need an I/O interface ? Why doesn't the Capture device have a jack to connect your instrument or line level from a guitar preamp ? Too many extra components to buy just for doing a capture. IMO the Capture device should have been created to perform the whole process.

  • @matteomidas638
    @matteomidas638 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tonex is a, complete garbage. It is so advanced that it takes hours to make a profile of your amp. With Quad Cortex or Headrush Prime it requires minutes. And Ik want us to believe that they are in 2023 technologiy wise instead of 1983...ohhh and they ask us money to use their Tonex which is just a freak of nature.

    • @FKA_Skull
      @FKA_Skull ปีที่แล้ว

      You're talking about $1300-1800 dollar devices. Tonex is $200 provided you already have an audio interface. And the time is depended on your video card. I've got a 2080 TI and it takes about 20 minutes to do the best capture.

    • @toxycm
      @toxycm ปีที่แล้ว

      The Macbook is the reason it takes hours to process. On a Windows box with a recent Nvidia video card it only takes minutes. The Tonex software can use the Cuda cores in the video card to accelerate the process.

    • @matteomidas638
      @matteomidas638 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@toxycm Ok but it's probably you and other 2 guys in the whole universe to know this thing so for me it still takes hours to make a profile.
