      Helmet + 3 points harness is a very bad idea!
      If helmet -> 6 points harness and HANS device, otherwise it’s better to stick with a 3 point and airbags

      @@GreatMotors , how long have you practicing to reach such a driving skill. I wouldn‘t dare to drive like because I would fear to make a mistake and crash the car or if I do I would simply **** my pants.

      @@Ingmar72 Not that long to be honest. This year I have done 43 laps so far, did 48 in the hole of 2021 and 4 way back in 2018. So approaching but not even crossing the 100 Nürburgring lap.
      Between 2018 and 2020 I went to other race tracks like Hockenheimring and Eurospeedway.
      I also like to drive around in the sim (using a remote controller) just to learn my way around.

    really nice drive, pushed hard!.....without traffic and with a perfect lap its a sub 8 btg...
    do you still have the original springs in the clubsport? because at 60 and 50 kilograms they are very soft....but looks like schwedenkreuz is easy to handle....

      Yeah original springs are still in. Not many problems interino schwedenkreuz. I really like the car like it is now. Main problems this weekend were the heavy passenger 😜, the diff overheating and it turning 2WD, and the brake pads in the front reaching their EoL.

      America will amaze you ,they are always competing for no reason, they might not approve GR Yaris since it is not their machine just like they did with Toyota Landcruiser pick-up, they knew that Landcruiser would beat their F250 in the market and they started making up excuses.

    Very good driving, but I think you should not get tooo much involved personally when someone wants to race, better to just focus on your lap without trying to impress other drivers, even if they are clearly slower and not at your same level. Great video

    Ich glaube das die Power nicht stock ist, da der Ladedruck Boxtypisch nie über 1,0-1,1 bar ging. Gehe eher von einer Box aus, da der GR Yaris in stock, immer bis 1,5-1,6 bar boostet.

    Great driving, as usual, GreatMotors! We enjoyed a fantastic day on the Ring in our GR Yaris on Wednesday -- perfect weather and relatively little traffic. Watching your video does raise a few questions, if you have time to answer, I'd appreciate it.... How much faster are your laptimes on the Cup2s than on the PS4Ss? Is the observed 2.2bar the right tire pressure for the end of the lap? My PS4S's got up to 2.5-2.6bar, which felt too high.
    Keep the great content coming! And congrats to your brother for looking so calm on the outside while he was probably freaking out on the inside!

      Really happy for you that you had an awesome time!! Tyre pressure is not everything, you also need to think about your suspension geometry (mainly camber and toe). You want to after all maximize the contact patch without overheating certain parts of the tyre. This cup 2 started and ended at around 2.2 bar. I had the tyres warm and bled already. They will go up 0.6 bar from cold to warm. You need to do it in multiple cycles, if your in them with too high pressure you will overheat the center of the tyre.
      The PS4S are in my experience less picky. I also run them a little bit higher in pressure because they are not so resistant to heat. I have found for me that 2.4 bar is ideal for PS4S. You can get a bit more grip at slightly lower pressures but they won't be consistent across a full Nürburgring lap for me and will overheat at the end.
      Hope this helps :)! If you are into tinkering get a pyrometer out of eBay (they are not too expensive) and measure the tyre temperature across the width of the thread. This will help you optimize camber, and pressure.

      @@GreatMotors Who hasn't always wanted a pyrometer?!? That's a good suggestion -- I'll pick one up before our next trip to the 'Ring. Our car is mostly a street machine (35,000 km), so I'm reluctant to sub-optimize the daily alignment for the 4-5 days a year we push it on the 'Ring. The alignment feels OK for now (great grip and turn-in with even tire wear), but that might just be the magic of the GR Yaris shining through. Next time I'll bleed the pressure down a little after warming them up and then see if the pyrometer points to an inconsistent contact patch.

      @@Utenrob if you will be running stock suspension and alignment I would 100% recommend pressures falling on the higher side (or a different tyre with a much stiffer sidewall). What happens mainly with the stock car is excessive wear of the outside shoulder of the tyre. The car will lean on it excessively during hard turning. This will be exacerbated if you run 2.2 bar or similar.

      I didn't use to. Nowadays I keep noticing they are used by a particular type of driver on track that I sort of dislike.

      KW CS: Bit over 3° of negative camber in the front, 2.5° negative in the back. Slight toe out. 7 low and 5 high compression; 9 rebound for the front. 6 low and 5 high compression; 11 rebound in the back.

      @@GreatMotors wird wohl ein Modell 2021 sein, die haben eine andere Kalibrierung. 1,1 bis 1,2 bar Ladedruck, mehr geht nicht. 2020 waren es 1,4 bis knapp 1,6 bar. Gut laufen tut er trotzdem 😀

Os pneus e a suspensão também interessam. Tudo interessa... Veja o vídeo do piloto de testes da Koennigsegg, o Robert Serwansky, num MX-5 atmosférico preparado para o Nordschleife e veja o que um carro bem configurado com um grande piloto ao volante faz nesta pista fabulosa 😉

      @@brunomarques1728 aqui a questão não é sobre AWD vs RWD, é mesmo entre o banco e o volante. Um M2 é um carro brutal de conduzir em Nürburgring. Tenho um vídeo a conduzir um, e gostei muito.

      I don't. I just go out and have a blast. I can confidently do BTG at around 08:00 even with some traffic and I could possibly come 10-15s below that if I get ideal conditions and I manage to bring a good lap together. Though with TF this is really difficult. I usually try to work myself one improving certain sections. For exemple no lift through foxhole compression, or flat after Pflanzgarten until schwalbenschwanz.

    The car is good, driving is too agressive nowhere clean ("The Cup2 tires were done after this set of laps!" yeah no shit), tires are dog shit. Camera is nice though

      @@GreatMotors The car is powerful and very light, it has 4WD, and good brakes. The chasis is superb.
      The inertia of the mass and the polar momentum makes it easy and safe to overcome driving mistakes. Many of the limit times you were nearly to lose control and crash the car, had no consecuences because of the perfect car equilibrium and nobility of your TOYOTA.
      In other words YARIS GR forgive constant driver mistakes. And this is the point, you have not had an accident because of the car potencial to overcome risky situations.
      So the YARIS has saved your life, because you are not doing a fine driving enough to go to the limit with another car. With a more accurate and relaxed driving you will be faster and the engine, gearbox, tyres and brakes will last longer.

    Deves apanhar muito gajo como o desse M2 que não entendem que nem que tenham um Porsche GT3, se não sabem posicionar-se na pista, modular travagem, aceleração etc vão ser comidos vivos pelos que conduzem carros mais lentos mas que sabem conduzir.
    Mais um excelente vídeo, conduziste c bastante agressividade, não sei se a intenção era a de sujares a fralda ao teu irmão xD

      Estava mais a curtir dos pneus! A última vez que fui levei os pneus de molhado a pensar que ia estar húmido, e desta vez com os semi slick foi a minha vingança 😁
