    Really happy to hear you are going to start putting workshops on here. I really struggle with your replays. I watch on the lowest quality but it constantly buffers and I constantly refresh. Not sure why as TH-cam, Netflix are fine for me!

    Beautiful work. I have such a hard time with drawing them but I’m just going to do a study of it just as you did, at least until I can get to Mastery Program. ❤

    How long did you leave that fixative to dry before painting over it? I can't find out anywhere online. Great painting by the way.

    I'm a current student of The Mastery program and it is well worth your time and money. Nothing more to say really EXCEPT... there kinda is. If you are a new student to art formally this program is a good fit. This is a good program if you have a formal education and want a refresher course in art and critics by other artists and students. But if you wish to have critics by Eli and Dimitra it won't be likely to happen unless you pay a lot more money and even that option is taken away very early in the program. Dimitra and Eli choose their mentees on a first come first serve and not by fit or desire to see more from that student as I've seen most mentors choose their mentees in all forms of any profession. This is off-putting to me that only money dictates them to mentor through the mastery program in this way. But I must end this positively because the program is a good one. But, I would find mentorship at other courses where the instruction and criticism come from the instructor/owner of the program at least once in a while.

    Lol. What is a “professional” artist?

    • @Rennat456
      @Rennat456 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      someone that does art as their profession lol

    • @dr_shrinker
      @dr_shrinker ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Rennat456 it was more of a rhetorical question.
      However, the term professional implies a person is a pro. I know interns who practice medicine, but I wouldn’t call them professionals of their profession.
      All things aside, this person is definitely not a master.
      Selling a painting does not make Person a pro, and it certainly does not make them a master. It takes 20-30 years of refinement before you can even begin thinking of yourself as a master. 😅😅😅
      I’d say this person is amateur at best. An art master should demonstrate proficiency in EVERY painting medium available, before calling themselves master. From Acrylic to Fresco and egg tempera. Automotive paints to latex house paint. Encaustic to lacquers. From Staining mahogany to painting Frescos - after becoming competent in everything, then you are a master Artist. If you have to label yourself as master, you aren’t. It’s a title earned and bestowed to you by others.

      Professional
      adjective
      1.
      relating to or belonging to a profession.
      No one claimed he was a "master" but he literally does art as his profession, therefore he is a professional artist by definition lmao

    • @ConstantinoMilan-mw1wg
      @ConstantinoMilan-mw1wg ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Hey, no worries, I’m not a master nor have I ever claimed to be. Just a professional Artist. I’m actually a very peaceful and humble person at heart, and so it is never my intention to strut and boast my achievements. And you are so right, I actually really agree that Art is a very complex thing and it takes a lot of time and effort to master it. All the best!✌🏽☺️

    • @dr_shrinker
      @dr_shrinker ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Rennat456 the title says “paints a masterpiece.” One must be a master to paint a “master” piece. It’s in the term MASTER piece.
      - just like PRO is in the term professional.
