    Well thats good to know, because i started getting into painting about 4 years ago. Nevervdid perfect watercolors, but switched over to acrylics approx 10 months ago. I am plugging and plugging away, trying abstract. I didnt have a clue when i picked it up, but have come ablong way to this day. I have a lot of money invested in supplies for every media. So i have no plans on giving it up. I just wish i started years ago. My plan is to get in the Mastery Program, but cant at this very time. Its the exact kind of paintings that i want to learn. I never had one thought to selling my art, but your program will lead me there.

    Interesting Topic about stealing style. I studied screenwriting for many years and the fear of others stealing my ideas stopped me from moving forward, never sold any of my scripts. I am now learning how to paint to paint my stories, and sometimes I see paintings that looks like what I am trying to do but this time I Will believe in what Dimitria Said, no one can create the way you do, and move forward. Each story is unique. About teaching, I guess all great masters had aprendices. Teaching is a way to expand the name and marketing comes from It so the original work gets more expensive. Thank you Dimitria for sharing your gift with us!

      People can always copy you, but they never know what you're about to do next. Once you've created something, best not to covet it, but immediately move on to the next thing that this has inspired you to do. That way you are always on your creative path.

    Sharing knowledge with others is always so fulfilling, and it's a gift of love. Being able to make a living by doing what you love is magical. I am currently a student in the Milan Art Mastery program, becoming a professional artist has been a dream since childhood. My teaching story comes from 40 years of teaching gymnastics, dance and circus arts. I took my athletic skill and turned it into career in 1980, into a family business in 1990, then retired from it in the late 2000s. I am retired from the 9 to 5 now and look forward to what possibilities lay ahead. Thank you both for so many inspiring videos and for sharing your personal experiences.

    I love teaching. I am a yoga teacher and I also do some private art lessons. All of what I offer, feeds into my art. My art feeds my yoga practice, which is high creative.

    Thank you for your generous and genuine heart as you share the things I really would ask if I could pick your brain. How refreshing you both are.
    "He has given seed to the sower that we may be generous on every occasion."
    You are practicing this and being rewarded for your generosity.
    Hopefully I'll be able to take the Masters program.
    Thank you so much

    Not to name names but… Tahlia Stanton perhaps?
    Don’t get me wrong I love Tahlia’s work, but I find it rather distasteful that she explicitly claims to be entirely self-taught when in fact she took the Milan mastery program and is clearly very inspired by Dimitra.

    • @Kbs894
      @Kbs894 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Agreed. I’ve admired her for a long time but when I found out about this I’m starting to kind of lose a little bit of my respect for her. She’s launching a course too, which will probably include a lot of what she learned here, but of course I doubt she’ll credit Milan Art at all.

    I like your discussions except when they get religious...which make it seem culty

    • @randallwilson3232
      @randallwilson3232 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Culty? Whatever. I'm not religious. Their talk about God and spirituality doesn't bother me at all. Sounds like a you problem that it bothers you.

    • @starveartist
      @starveartist 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @randallwilson3232 if you watch the other videos her mom gets a bit conspiracy theory sounding about "darkness" and the "dark elitist art system" and God telling her things, homeschooling her kids, and them all living on a compound together...if you watch tons of their videos and/or know anything about cults/religious compounds then my comment makes more sense.

    • @starveartist
      @starveartist 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @reyno6826 it's not trolling when you watch their videos and generally give positive feedback...even in this comment. It's called having, and sharing, an opinion. Any engagement in comments is still helpful for the algorithm, so even a comment with some criticism is better than "saying nothing at all" in this case.
