    This video is super helpful! Why did it take me so long to find it? It's so much better than all the top search videos I came across before on jeans fit. They all say the same unhelpful things! Damn you TH-cam algorithm!!

    Thanks for the tips. You look more like an hourglass to me? I have so much trouble with jeans because I am short and have a big rear end and relatively smaller waist. The struggle is REAL

      So glad to hear that you found the video helpful! I think I might be on the cusp between the two body types and have lost some weight this year, which might me look more hourglass (but historically I've been a pear). Try checking out curve or curvy fit jeans -- that's a great place to start your search!

    I so wish Levis hadn't discontinued the 512 style. I have several pairs in the boot cut and loved them. They helped slim the tummy. Trying hard to find replacement jeans now as several pairs are worn out. Don't like mid rise as they slip down in back and result in "baggy butt".

    Thank you for all the compare and contrast of various pairs. How do we know if the jeans are too tight or too long in the thigh (if that's a thing)? I almost always have lines across the back of my thighs and material bunching at the back of the knee. I am 5' 4" and usually buy regular length. Maybe I should try petite?

    • @thepetitepearproject
      @thepetitepearproject  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The length of jean that's best for you (whether it's regular or petite) depends on your inseam measurement, but also petite jeans have a higher kneecap. Personally, I haven't looked into this fit difference as much myself. You are right though it's definitely a thing!
      You can either take your body measurement (using these directions: www.thepetitepearproject.com/blog/2016/1/24/how-to-measure-your-body-for-clothing) or you can measure a pair of existing jeans you have that fit well (www.tiktok.com/t/ZTNNFkUQH/).
      Lately, I have been ordering multiple size of clothes to compare fit! So I think that be a good idea for you to order more than one size and then compare the fit. Hope this helps!

    Really enjoyed your video very helpful I suffer from my skinny jeans legs too loose it’s so annoying how can I fix the issue?

    • @thepetitepearproject
      @thepetitepearproject  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kianna! One thought I had was that you could try out your typical size plus one size down to compare the fit of the skinny jean legs. However, going down a size means the waist area will be smaller and more snug. (But it might be worth trying!) Question for you - do you have this issue with a certain brand or across multiple brands?

      @@thepetitepearproject I have troubles with all brands I came to conclusion I have to take all my jeans to tailor and that’s a lot of jeans lol

    I just bought 721 High-Rise white jeans and I’m a size 27 the length is 28 and they are a lot long, they hug my waistline nicely and my butt looks really good but on the back thighs there is a lot of drag lines. Should I go a size up? I’m also short with curvy body.

    • @thepetitepearproject
      @thepetitepearproject  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Sonya! Sizing up might result in the jeans being too big in the waist. However, it might reduce the drag lines as well. Sometimes I will order two sizes to compare the fit and see what feels most comfortable to me. Hope this helps!

    I have the Levi's mile high same jeans..the fitting is good..but too long..any suggestion?

    • @thepetitepearproject
      @thepetitepearproject  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Devajani! My recommendation would be to have them hemmed by a tailor if you want to remove the excess length. Another option is to leave the length as is and wear them with heels or booties where it's nice to have a little extra length. I still wore my Levi's mile high jeans as shown in the video. Ultimately, it's up to you and how you expect you will wear them.

      Happy this video was helpful! I would say most brands are sized with rectangular waist to hip proportions in mind, but more brands are starting to offer curvy fit jeans (like Abercrombie).

    Despite the usefull tips in this video it is still damn hard to find proper jeans even in the same brand. I found that levi's stretch out by a lot depending on the model. I have retro levi's size 31 and recently bought 721 levi's size 30 and the first fit was really tight, but after 3 days the waist stretched out to an even bigger size that the retro 31's. So yeah, I still have to belt up because it's as if they've stretched up by 1-2 sizes. Originally I thought they were too tight, as per the tips in the video, but I was terribly wrong about that.

    • @thepetitepearproject
      @thepetitepearproject  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @waffletoasters Yes - I find it takes a lot of trial and error. That's so interesting your Levi's jeans stretched out so much! I personally haven't tried the Retro Levi's, but that's a bummer. Glad you have been wearing a belt with them! Maybe the jeans have a lot of stretch?
