    What a ship this will be! But what do you guys think about the potential of this vessel? Let me know down below!!

    • @ronaldshaw4309

      I believe the farming pods are not meant for large scale farming. This is a science vessel it is more likely they are meant to serve as botanical research vessels. As a expanding space fairing species the development of of genetically altered plants that can better thrive on alien planets is necessary for exploration gameplay and future terra forming gameplay. Such research is meant to be conducted in controlled environments like bio domes similar to the ones on this ship. Your thoughts on botanical science research is far to narrow. There is more to it than being your common Farmer. This ship is probably going to develope the seeds that future farmers are going to be buying when the carrack players start finding new planets.

      CIG said that the hangar have been re-sized to fit the Apollo Medivac (so it did grow in size, after the concept sale of the Medivac), and I think that the rest of the ship will grow once they start to work more on it, just like they did with the BMM, Orion etc. Several backers have joked about to plant some space weed, or "moon dust" to support the criminal activity. We will have to wait and see what CIG comes up with at some point in the future.

    Carrack to find, Reclaimer to acquire, Endeavor to repair and overclock and a BMM to sell.
    The cycle is complete.

    I initially purchased the Endeavor for the hospital/hangar capabilities as I was thinking Pyro could use a good hospital ship. With all the options for this ship though, I almost want to grab a second one for experimentation. Growing food, working on scientific discoveries, all sorts of things this ship can work toward. Thank you for revisiting this ship and keeping the discussion alive!

    What could be a cool idea for the farming modules, what if there are certain plants that are very toxic or dangerous. So you have to farm them in space in a controlled environment. The plants could have some really important medical qualities that would make them worth all the hassle.

    From the Q&A "The Fuel-Pods would not be able to double-up as cargo, but they could store other in-flight consumables like battery packs or ammunition" so for instance using a supercollider with a fuel pod could maybe store overclocked parts in addition to extending range.

    The Endeavour is the only ship I would have bought during concept. It has so much potential.
    You can turn this thing into a mobile space station. If you have an org big enough, you can practically make a space city with every service available in the middle of Pyro.
    I believe we'll see endeavours sitting in the same location for possibly months. Which would give real use for detaching the front of your ship since it would be expensive as hell to taxi your crew out when they go on leave. Instead, taxi them yourself in bulk.

    I’m not super interested in big organizations. I’ve always preferred gaming with 2-4 people or so.
    That way I can always hear everyone in my call, it’s usually friends irl, etc.
    just preference.
    So when I think of this from that perspective, I think of the medical station.
    Orbiting above a planet or ground event em for example.
    Having people check into my endeavor when they get to the event, kind of like MIC for xenothreat, and setting it as their spawn point.
    Then me and a couple friends could run an ambulance pickup service for people downed in the field and a taxi service to drop people off on the ground near their event or crew when they respawn.
    I like the idea of 3-4 people respawning over 10-15 minutes, and all getting shuttled down to the same destination on a small to mid sized ship.

    • @PIN-o7
      @PIN-o7  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That does sound good, I think the ship could easily be fun with a small group of friends certainly would be good when events are running.

    @6:18 course, medical supplies and or unique drugs/stims ect, or perhaps bio material production used for weapons/military/armor some kind of minor low volume but important material. Main purpose of farming on the ship was for sun variance, some plants will require certain suns light signatures, or distances/intensity. Compared to farming on a planet where you have kind of limitless space but likely won't be able to farm 'anything' esp those rare/unique and high value items. Most of us would love to see farming in the game, but i want to see how it works too. Like do we just 'have' to park for endless days near a certain sun to grow that 'good good'? b/c that sounds boring really.

    So this ship I knew I wanted from day one, just needed to save my money and take advantage of a CCU chain to get it. In the end it was the third ship I added to my fleet. I ended up CCU chain to a master set configured setup. Wasn’t what I was planning but it’s what I ended up with but I am not really complaining. However, I might need to get another base Endeavor to avoid all the module changing. I do love this ship, being the nerdy guy I am and an amateur astrophotographer I could never have resisted getting it too long.. With this, the Odyssey w/Terrapin, my exploration gameplay kung fu is strong! 😊. Other ways I plan on using is tuning components for racing and selling via my Merchantman. Scanning other systems for astrological objects that I can sell detailed scan info to customers. Maybe some space farming for pharmaceuticals as you mentioned… but one crazy idea is to combine the telescope with the particle accelerator to see if its possible to create a super laser! :D lol

    This ship is a unwritten story. I think for us we see it as a space station. No matter what mods they have. you'll be able to make it livable. Hiding this in a remote area setting up what ever game loop you choose. I'm rooting for multiple docking stations, would be awesome to be able to dock our larger ships to it. I also see some of the cool specialized ships working in tandem with this, say like a Nautilus mining the area, a Merchant man for selling when full of loot. This ship offers more diversity than a Kraken for a whole lot less money for mobile type bases.

    Hi PIN! I would use this ship as a corporate espionage ship. Having the hangar bay I'd keep a Herald and Terrapin or M50. The telescope hopefully can be used for hacking. Load the data onto the Herald and quickly get the data out of the area to be secured (and sold). Mostly, I'd use it against corporate corruption. Basically expose who is abusing the system.

    The potential for the Endeavour goes so far beyond the original specs when we look at possible modules it could have.
    - Long range cruise ship by having large habitat and shopping mall modules and utilizing the belly hangar for passenger shuttles
    - Bulk passenger carrier (more so than the Crusader variant)
    - Civilian carrier ship a'la "Battlestar Galactica" without the guns and defenses by having twin long hangars on each side of the base hull
    - Cargo Bulk Carrier version similar to the Hull series but cannot land with cargo at all
    - Military conversions

  • @davewills6121
    @davewills6121 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yeah, i also have the Endeavor and all the modules, although if i were being realistic, i could have another child, and it would be starting primary school before the Endeavor comes to fruition...if ever, we are in essence talking many years down the line. And i really don't believe most backers, especially those that are absorbed in the LORE and all that is spewed via the loosely, yet laughingly termed roadmap, fully appreciate the timescale involved...or just refuse to. Interesting all the same

  • @vedrisca
    @vedrisca 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The more I look at resource management, the more I see this as the agricultural support for the beginning of a player-made hab-fleet. Paired with a Kraken Privateer in the same fleet, and you could grow food in deep space and feed your entire fleet, or even supply oxygen that would normally require atmospheric re-entry / docking at a space station to do. Would be pretty nutty to simply hop ship to ship for different tasks and needs, towing a few capital-class ships to provide amenities in deep space.

    I think what is important to understand is that not all plants grow to seed. So developing plants that do and then selling the seed to farmers can (and should) be incredibly lucrative. So these gardens represent a botanical genesis for a planetary colony. So don't think of it as a "garden"... think of it as a seed factory. The fruits this part of the ship produces.. is simply a helpful side effect. Human waste would then be processed... to get the seeds ready for planting where they can germinate.

    I think the talk at the time was that you grow GM crops using the research pods that would grow quicker and over produce certain compounds.. Said crops would require to be grown right next to the sun to feed them or under the radioactive glow from a nebula.. I was planning on growing a bio-fuel in one pod and medicine/food/rare compounds or just some drugs in the other pod.. This was my plan for growing lab variant 🤷‍♂️
    I assume for the medical lab version, cyborg implants/artificial limbs would be the thing to research and focus on.. Was one solution I was concidering 🤔.. On a side note I assume this business to be most profitable when accompanied by a second endeavour that can grow medicines and rare compounds to help with your mechanics/cyborg implants..
    The over clocking plant I see in the same was as your self, only I would add a crucible with a vulture in the bay to that setup.. Now you can repair peoples ships and overclock at the same time making you the preferd man for the job. Locating yourself neer a mass ship grave yard and you now have a pile of free parts that can be collected to repaired to full function to then be overclocked for your repair/overclock business with little to no over heads. Any exxeces parts when business is slow you can ship off on your BMM to sell else where.
    Idealy I think these 3 setups would be most effective working together for thier collective benafits..🤷‍♂️
    Growing biofuel would allow you also refuel ships that stop for repaires, while your customers are waiting for there ships to be mended you could have them booked in to have thier bionic legs upgraded 🤷‍♂️
    Effectively supplying the full package for any weary traveler, be handy to have a nautilus though to keep you safe 😉
    This is why I am building 3 ccu chaines to acquire a few base models.. The satellite module I am less interestd in since it will mainly only be required infrequently to find the ideal locations for said base, but then.. I imagine you could use the Carrack to fill that role anyway 🤔.. Am not really interested in the mass data collection for sales angle anyway, as side from the MSR and Carrack style play.. 🤷‍♂️

    • @PIN-o7
      @PIN-o7  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats some well thought out insight. Thankyou for the info. I really like that idea off the cyborg prosthetics thats sounds really cool and 2 endeavours in tandem would certainly get the currency flowing. Nice work!

      @@PIN-o7 😂 In my mind at least I have solved the modularity problem that looks to be the thing of nightmares for John Crew 😂
      I imagine/hope it would have to function pretty damn closely to this.. Just logistically I cant see the professions Woking much better than this given the small amount of bays each varient can hold and given what complimentary pods are required for each profession.. Now if you could dock multiple endeavours to each other to share research labs, other resources and data collated from the general lab.. Could be onto a hole new even more efficient beast.. 🤷‍♂️
      Fingers Crossed 🤞

    Star Citizen is just a bunch of ships and no gameplay. Sure you have a bunch of people pretending to be corps and roleplay spacepirates or whatever, but there is nothing to actually strive for. Sure, the idea of Endeavor sounds great but considering how long everything else takes, at this rate I'll be 90 by the time anything resembling a viable game-loop is even close to be done. The SC scheme is to sell you a dream of a space sim and have you hooked just long enough to have you buy the next concept ship which still would not have any ingame purpose or game-loop to follow.
