It's somehow both the most unique and the most versatile ship in the game, gonna be about as long as it's been since that movie was released before it's flyable though
Casting my votes for the next ship candidates: Crucible, Orion, and Perseus! Keep 'em coming! You're doing a great job! Your hard work is definitely appreciated!
day 1 concept backer... maaan I expected to be deep in uncharted space by now, with my beautiful science ship. I still believe... I think... amazing video, thank you so much. I wish CIG would give this concept as much love some time.
I hope I live to see the Endeavor released into the game. Coming in to land on one of these majestic beasts for the first time will be a moment to remember.
@NM not very likely with the amount of funding they get, and considering how niche the game still is even with millions of people knowing about it. Its still not very well known about and the more people know about it, the more funding it gets.
@@Frank-os6gq they are making it more complex and demanding more of our time to play it. Eventually it will be reserved for the truly hardcore role players that have 5+ hours a day to play it. Those with only 2-3 hours because they have a life outside of SC.
This is the coolest ship in the verse, can't believe they are still keeping it hush after 8years. Also as such a large ship, it needs defenses. If they don't want to add more turrets, it should have defence drones.
It should grow to something like 460-475m. Then the detachable ship is sized of the Oddessy which in turn could haveit own private hangar for crew. Then you need a medical bay, landing hangar and crew facilities and possibly a research/science module to really try and find new medical cures or vaccines or something.

Love the production value put into these. Showing a 3D model to play around with does so much more than the concept pictures CIG provides us. Would love to see the Crucible in the next video along with speculation on how multiple Crucibles can interlock with each other to repair larger ships.
Wow....what a fantastic video. CIG could use a portion of this as a sales viedo. I can only imagine the amount of time you must have put in. The dialogue was very purposeful and concise, the animations were fantastic and the re-concepted hangar is a great idea.
Very well done, Grim. The animations and the writing were top notch. My vote is for the Crucible next. You did a great deep dive on that awhile back, and would love to see where you would take that in this new format. In regards to the hangar module, one blocker to an open ended tube version would be the direct connection to the medical module that you can see at 23:21. You are going to want to be able to take people on a gurney directly into the medical facility, not up into the workshop section and down the hall. Also, I would also think you would want a bay door to allow putting an atmosphere in there, so that you can open up the Pisces or Red and not kill the folks on the med beds that won't be in armor. If so, a smaller hangar would take less resources to put an atmosphere back into it every time you cycled the doors. o7!
Great video, I have been thinking of this ship off and on for years. Since modularity is now available, it seemed like as good a time as any to deep dive as many sources as I can to decide if I want one of these in the long term. I assumed the hangar was already set up with two doors to fly in and out, so it's pretty crazy to see its initial configuration with only a single door. I think your ~400m length is probably going to be pretty accurate, too!
Looks like the endeavor will grant the ability of making player founded space stations, it could be interestinghow that ends up adding to the comunity. My vote for the next ship is the orion. I discovered this channel a few weeks ago and i got to say that you do an astounding work for the comunity, you deserve to be in the spotlight.
It seems pretty clear that we will get the ability to own space stations anyway though. I think a lot of people end up wanting certain ships because of their perceived usefulness, but having a base/station would end up being much more cost-effective and honestly probably more efficient and large-scale. For example, I've had people tell me they want a Kraken and set it down on a planet and never move it...to be a base. And I'm like...um, you know we'll be able to build bases, right? That's a super expensive base if you're playing solo... obviously it's your money if you want to get something like that, but still...I think a lot of solo/lone wolf whales don't understand that ships Connie sized and bigger won't be able to be soloed
@@tevarinvagabond1192That also makes me wonder how player homes are gonna work. For solo players, their options may be to buy a hab in a station, a city, or even a player-built base, seeing building your own base may not be very viable to do alone considering the cost n' effort of building one. Now that has me thinking about the process of base building as well! With how interactive and immersive SC is trying to be, imagine being part of a construction team to build an outpost on a planet. Unloading materials from supply ships, guiding in construction ships with ground crews running about, a medical team on standby in case of an accident. How much of a team effort it'd be!
Honestly I never knew about how the modularity of the Endeavor works, just how many different modules there were AND that the front section was a shuttle. This completely changed my view of the ship! Now I understand the hype behind it and almost want to pledge for it myself too :D
Excellent video; well done! I love the concept of the Endeavor! Having said the above, I think the idea of having a 1070's dish design on any ship is cringe. What I would do, is have a laser array on top of the ship which, based on current modules install and energy accessible, would create a gravetic lensing effect above the ship that can be hundreds if not thousands of miles large. Other ships would want to stay away from that effect when i use. The typical antenna array for Dish Network is not of the caliber of the other technologies introduced into the game thus far. I'd also like to see a video on the Terrapin.
We have 4 endeavors owners in our small org, for thier sake I hope they do it right. They all are so excited for this ship but know they have a very long wait.
The pacing and content of this video is really great, would watch something like this for every single ship, even if i have no interest in buying/flying. The animations are smooth and really add to the experience. The history of the concept and art is also great
This is a pretty cool ship and I got it also back then with all modules availabel. This was in 2015, so 8 years ago. The ship today is still in "concept". So I maybe wait 15-16 years. I think this is money you never ever get out of the game anymore and is in my opinion part of Scam Citizen.
Looking at the landing bay for the Endeavour, I did wonder about two entrances, so I was really happy to see you mention it. As a future Apollo owner, I wasn't unhappy with the idea of making the bay fit an Apollo either. Let's hope modularity comes before too much longer, for the sake of Endeavour and Apollo pilots alike.
Amazing, I love these videos. It is great to see a ship brought to life that we probably won’t see in game for a long long time. I love the concept of it as it is the closest thing we will probably have to a player owned space station.
Fantastic idea with regards to the hangar pod. Glad I have a CCU locked in to nab one of these in time. Looking forward to seeing the video about the Perseus!
I have the endeavour base but am very interested in the hanger module for a mobile mini space station type game play. If it could combine the fuel and cargo module, the crew module and a hanger then I could orbit a planet and be a mobile refuling station which would be AWSOME in the less populated systems. And keep a guard fleet up and running for protection
This was a great video on the Endeavor; your technical ability is just amazing. I look forward to seeing how the ship develops, especially with regard to its size and any modules that get added as more gameplay comes online.
Great video! The modularity of the Endeavor makes it the ship I am most interested in seeing implemented. The number of possibilities are almost endless.
14:20 "Unlock new blueprints and techniques" After citizencon, this seems like it's going to be perfectly in line with their plans for blueprints and refining techniques going forward into 1.0. Not a chance that this ship will be flyable by then (or even years afterwards), but an incredibly impressive prediction from a year and a half before CIG publicly announced their concept of these features. Great work.
Fantastic work on the video, I really appreciate the amount of time and effort that are put into these videos, one thing I would like to point out with the Endeavor is the lack of defense capabilities. Since this ship has a lack of weapons and shields that it would be near impossible to take this ship out on its own, you would certainly need small crew escort of combat capable ships that are also able withstand long duration missions like Constellations, Retaliators, Redeemers, Vanguards, or even Freelancers
With recent talk of crafting, I could see the endeavor set up almost like a mobile factory. Flying to where materials are cheapest, and building / overclocking components with the supercollider module.
I love this series. First going through my probably most anticipated ship the Kraken and now settling my doubts about the Endeavor. Please keep up the great work If possible, I would love to see a video about the Idris and Javelin
I think the modularity of the Endeavor gives so many options overall. For those who can’t buy everything, you’ll get to experience so many different gameplay loops with the various modules.
These videos are incredibly well done! It really helped me to understand these more complex concepts with the ship! I would very much like to see you do a video on the Genesis Starliner, if not next, then at some point in the near-future. Keep up the good work!
If there is ever a point where this thing is announced to get work started, I will instant buy all the modules. I really love the idea of this whole ship and being out in the middle space just doing all of whatever that science gameplay is lol.
I had the Endeavor but got rid of it because it's honestly too much ship for me and I wouldn't want to manage a ship with this amount of crew. Feels like an org ship. So excited for this ep! Great job, team! 🙌🏿✨
Glad you saw reason, haha. A lot of people get excited about certain ships, and rightfully so...they're cool! But, they let that excitement cover up the reality that...Connie sized ships and larger just won't able to be soloed; the Connie is probably the only ship of that size that can be soloed to some extent but it's not efficient, and as you get bigger and bigger it not only becomes a lot less efficient playing solo but IMPOSSIBLE to solo with any form of survivability and effectiveness. NPC crew and AI blades will NOT change this, as they've already said that solo players won't be able to afford a lot of crew due to needing to supply the crew with supplies constantly, and needing to pay regular wages...so, 1-3 max that a solo player could afford. And, AI blades are just for turrets and WILL be able to be destroyed/damaged, so not that reliable if you want to be protected.
The main point is how to operate the ship. When it stated 3-5crew, than it should be able to operate by 3 player. Remember, this is a game and game is for fun
@@WethDeath All of the crew estimates for ships are 100% going to change... ESPECIALLY for concept ships not even released. Also, thing is...sorry, but...buying an expensive ship doesn't mean you are entitled to play it solo or with a small number of people. Even if you theoretically could use it with a handful of people, that's way too much ship for just that small a group... you'll never be able to really protect yourself, basically say goodbye to anything parked on top because you're going to get everything on top wrecked immediately in any combat scenario.
@@WethDeath Also, "fun" is very relative...you seem to think that "casual = fun", except...it doesn't. Maybe for you, but not for most people that play Star Citizen.
@@tevarinvagabond1192 relax, but I also think not most of people "work hard", spending most of the game time to earn UEC right? whatever they want, we must remember this is not a second world yet, it just a "game"
Thank you for the research and more in depth coverage of the Endeavor! It has always and still does somewhat remain a mystery of "oh you can do so many cool things with that ship! Ok, like what and how does that work exactly??" With the recent Galaxy and other ships prior to that offer Modularity - hope to see this as an indication that CIG will release it and start testing just like with cargo grids - a basis for a lot of different systems.
Excellent work! The endeavor was the first capital sized ship I bought and that was way back during its concept sale. Still waiting and hoping this ship will deliver half of what it was proposed. If it does I will be a happy captain.😁
Okay... I was waiting for Flight Week for a chance to get the Kraken... but now you've highlighted the amazing benefits and possibilities of owning an Endeavor, I am certainly rethinking my priorities. This is definitely a must have ship, that allows for SO many different gameplay loops! 👀 Thanks for this amazing deep dive into this exceptional and rare ship!
I love that the first 2 episodes that you have are the 2 ships I'm aiming for for my ingame fleet. My goal is to buy the Kraken first, then the endeavor then I'll be able to explore and salvage my way across the SC universe.
@@shaunlavigne100May be a good idea to bring some friends along to crew that thing. There is no way you'd be able to efficiently solo a ship of that size.
I was hoping the Endeavour would change enough to either already have some medical bay by default (i.e. so there's at least one for the crew on long missions), a small hospital (2x1), or they reduce the size requirements of the current medical add-on, because I'd love to have the Med center + Farm + Hangar. Potentially producing medicinal and cash crops as a secondary source of meds and income. Another wonderful video!!!!! Looking forward to the next production! This is epic! ❤
Great video! The Endeavour is such a great ship. Although I currently don't own one, I cannot wait to see it's eventual gameplay loops happening around me! Just the concept image itself is iconic enough that a lot of my non-SC friends know what it is. So excited!
I'm so glad to have my Endeavor Master Set and am very much looking forward to the additional game play it will bring... In particular, the Agriculture module because, while my wife has expressed interest in joining me in the 'Verse, her stipulation is that she has absolutely NO interest in any type of combat. It's kind of a funny story (which she didn't appreciate me laughing about), but she was, unfortunately, a bit traumatized by some cute little space kitties in No Man's Sky that kept attacking and killing her 🤣, so she insisted we play together in Creative mode ONLY since she's far more interested in homesteading and farming... I showed her the cutaway view of the Agriculture module you made, Grim, and she smiled & her eyes lit up at the possibilities you were elaborating! 😊 I will likely try to secure a Pioneer next for that homesteading game play. I anticipate CIG will likely also introduce some land-based horticulture, and probably even livestock, game play some time after, or perhaps along with, homesteads becoming available. I could see us, she & I, playing SC together for many years, perhaps to the very end, once these game loops are in... Hopefully Soon™! 🤞
One of the things CIG have stated is that all modules will come "bare" and need to be equiped with systems / equipment. The modules and ship are just the start of the cost. I have an Endeavor, but knowing it will be one of the very last ships to be released, I keep looking at it and wondering whether to keep it or not.
Been looking forward to this one, but fully aware this ship probably won't be around for the best part of a decade. It's such a monumental undertaking, hope i'm still alive and kicking by the time it gets here.
Loving this video series so far! I picked up a CCU chain from a Starfarer Gemini to the Endeavor last year during IAE. The ship looks like it's going to be very versatile and it give me major Nebulon-B Frigate from Star Wars vibes, which is ALWAYS a plus! :D
beautiful and thorough. Thanks Starjump! I wonder if the spine could or would have some function beyond structure. Like moving cargo and the like about the ship. perhaps.
I actually got myself an Endeavor when it concept saled, although i melted it for something else down the road, but actually just bought it back with the Master Set last CitCon. Looking forward to the multitude of ways to use this ship and it's modules.
I think the endeavor is the most impressive ships planned for the game. I think it needs to be much much larger considering what it is and i can't wait to see how it turns out
I can’t wait for the endeavor and all it’s different functions. From hospital to science gameplay this endeavor of cigs is my favorite concept ship in my hanger. Thanks for the deep dive see you in the post discussion.
I feel like what was said in the last bits of the video coming true. Where the endeavor comes out but not with all the modules. In the video, there was no topic of CIG stopping with the creation of modules; so there could be more. Some could be offensive ones like a large size turret or a similar to the service module that turns the work shop into a psudeo-station with multiple smaller turrets like a real station.
Great video, already have mine ordered and really looking forward to what they do with it later on! I would really like to see the Orion, and Crucible ships next for sure!
Have an Endeavor in my shipyard. Just the base model but looking forward to actually fielding my own personal mobile starbase. Can't say I'm terribly happy with the loaner ships though, at least not until they re-work the Starfarer. Great vid though some real well put together visuals, thanks!
I actually picked up an endeavor a while back because I started hearing all the hype in the community. I am very interested in the medical and agricultural game play. Nice video!!! Great visuals!!! I would like to see a deep dive on the javelin
I think it's pretty clear the Endeavor will be the last ship implemented in SC, but it will be interesting to see what the game grows into to allow it to be a functional part of play. Personally, I think boarding an Endeavor could be a real interesting experience, so I look forward to the day we see it in-game for that alone.
Yeah out of all the ships we know about right now the Endeavor is easily going to the last one to release and the one that changes the most from the original concept. I'd guess that at an absolute minimum this ship grows by at least 50% in every dimension making the overall length 300 meters again at bare minimum. I wouldn't be surprised if the "Front cab" alone ends up being the same size or even larger than the Odyssey. This ship is truly going to be a monster once it is released. Also I just have to say I love ths rendition of what a possible rework of the hope class could look like with the updated size, design language, and hangar module in place. If it ends up looking that good I'll be quite happy that I have a $350 buy back token for it.
Holy cow what a great presentation. It's almost as if you work for CIG or very well should. The landing bay module critique was genius in a lot of ways and CIG could definitely use a lot of your suggestions. Great work! I vote for the Orion next
Love your work, and thanks for spending the time to research all the ships in great detail. This real helps people make a wise decision before buying or after lol, Cheers.
The Endeavor is an interesting ship. I am not sure how it will fit into my fleet, but that overclocking ability and the science and telescope are all things I would want to explore with one.
One thing you never mentioned is that all the modules are categorized as either 2x1 or 2x2. It seems the first 2 indicates that the module straddles both sides of the ship. That would imply that there may be modules that are 1x1, which are short and only hang on one side of the ship, which would increase modularity even more.
I added a pledge for the Endeavor as soon as it was initially announced. I am SO looking forward to this ship entering the game, even if not all of it's functionality is realized.
I bought the master set endeavor way back when and thought that the modules just added to its length, I see now that I was wrong. I cant wait until it releases. great job on the animations as well, looking pretty spiffy.
Big fan of the Endeavour, warbird mounts look interesting but I find it hard to get flight sticks etc shipped here to Japan without remortgaging my house!
I love my Predator mounts. I'm saving for the new sliding rail system they've just announced. So you can slide your gear out of the way when you aren't using them. Great video! She will be mine!
As a fan of "Silent Running" that concept picture of the Endeavour with the bio domes was what made me want to play Star Citzen.

Thanks for the compliments!
With recent talk of crafting, I could see the endeavor set up almost like a mobile factory. Flying to where materials are cheapest, and building / overclocking components with the supercollider module.
I love this series. First going through my probably most anticipated ship the Kraken and now settling my doubts about the Endeavor.
Please keep up the great work
If possible, I would love to see a video about the Idris and Javelin
Really well done, very little here I can disagree with if anything at all making it close to spot on. Exe
Thanks Exe that means alot!
I don't understand the telescope module when jump points are all pre-determined locations with jump gates. The rework is going to be massive
I've been a fan of the Endeavor's modular design for a long time. I can't wait to see what we're able to do with this ship when it finally releases.
"My"...? You mean "our", right? Because you won't be able to solo the Kraken or Endeavor lol
@Tevarin Vagabond no I meant my because I'll be the one purchasing it, so I'll be the solo owner of it.
@@shaunlavigne100May be a good idea to bring some friends along to crew that thing. There is no way you'd be able to efficiently solo a ship of that size.
Very informative, love the misc lineup. the endeavor will be a must have for some.
This ship reminds me of the Valley Forge from the movie Silent Running when it has the agricultural domes.
The proposed possible redesign looks really good. The fly through hanger would be a massive benefit.
Great video! The Endeavour is such a great ship. Although I currently don't own one, I cannot wait to see it's eventual gameplay loops happening around me!
Just the concept image itself is iconic enough that a lot of my non-SC friends know what it is. So excited!
Great video, thanks for putting this together. The Endeavor is a great looking ship, look forward to getting it.
The Endeavor will definitely be an interesting addition to SC, so many possibilities with this ship
beautiful and thorough.
The modularity of Endeavor is very interesting
Endeavor looks tight
I think the endeavor is the most impressive ships planned for the game. I think it needs to be much much larger considering what it is and i can't wait to see how it turns out
One other thing to use to determine the actual size is that the round areas on the cab are landing pads
I’m looking forward to explore the verse with the Endeavor. The flexibility of this ship is very appealing.
Mind Blown! 🤯
Seriously, great Video. This is exactly what I was waiting for. More please. 🥃😎🚬
Another awesome video. 400-ish meters sounds about right for the Endeavor.
MISC Endeavor is going to be a amazing ship I have 2 mastersets and cant wait to see this game play ingame
Endeavor oh wow the quality of content you fellas put out im lucky af to have been part of a raid that brought me to you legends
Thanks Killa!
Chris' favorite ship is the Connie. Jared's favorite ship is the Genesis Starliner.
My favorite ship is the Endeavor.
I can’t wait for the endeavor and all it’s different functions. From hospital to science gameplay this endeavor of cigs is my favorite concept ship in my hanger. Thanks for the deep dive see you in the post discussion.
Thanks Jamie for the kind words!
I will endeavor to hold my excitement for this ship over the years.
I actually picked up an endeavor a while back because I started hearing all the hype in the community. I am very interested in the medical and agricultural game play. Nice video!!! Great visuals!!!
I would like to see a deep dive on the javelin
Thanks Shaun!
I'm really excited for this ship. I've always been a science/ exploration player in other games. Hopefully the endeavor lives up to the concept
Hey I really appreciate that!
Looking forward to the endeavor coming out. A friend has one and we can't wait to use it as a base of operations when it releases.
Amazing as always. I'd personally love to see the Starliner next. I feel like there has been so little said on it.
yeah this endeavor looks like a great ship to have even with a few ppl to play with
This is an amazingly video about this amazing ship. Congratulations bro!
These are fantastic. I would love to see one on what's expected, and what's been theorycrafted, on the Starfarer rework!
Got myself an endeavor. Can't wait to use it in the next 20 years
Glad to see an optimist around here (:
I added a pledge for the Endeavor as soon as it was initially announced. I am SO looking forward to this ship entering the game, even if not all of it's functionality is realized.
The agriculture one would be stationed at different distances from the sun, depending on what you want to grow.
The endeavor being ingame will change so much... I do sure hope we got at least Pyro until then, maybe even more systems. This will be so amazing!
I love my Predator mounts. I'm saving for the new sliding rail system they've just announced. So you can slide your gear out of the way when you aren't using them. Great video! She will be mine!
