Okoye’s character development here is fantastic. Before, she said “I’m loyal to that throne no matter who sits upon it”. Now she learns that it does matter who sits upon the throne, and finally does the right thing for the sake of Wakanda. This makes it so satisfying when she says “Ayo, the king!” as she finally acknowledges that T’Challa is the true king and Killmonger is unworthy, regardless of which of them has been sitting on the throne for the past few days.
By tradition and law the Dora Milaje serve the throne as a whole, regardless of their personal feelings about who sits on it. Killmonger refusing to honour the ritual combat (since T'Challa did not technically die or yield, it was still in play) rendered him legally unfit to be king, so they no longer had to follow him.
I dunno. They're pretty much just equipped like the Marvel version of Gungans. Funny gimmick items like power-serapis, panther guns, and super spears, but very little in the way of anything actually worth fielding in battle. Cap's shield has enough body coverage that (at least in the first movie) it did a really solid job of supporting his use of actually intelligent weapons of war like pistols and submachine guns.
In this scene, you can see why Killmonger lost to T'Challa in the final battle. He's a good conventional fighter, which makes him very well trained. However, his scope of his training is all limited by his experiences as he continues to fight like a man on a mission and not a panther. It's why despite his advantages in this fight, he was struggling against 4 Dora Milaje while T'Challa was duking it out with the army. He never bothered to understand the power of the panther and only understood that it made you stronger and faster. As a result, his moves, while skilled, are all based on the perspective of a human. He couldn't fight T'Challa because T'Challa wasn't trying to match him as a human.
You know, what always hits me so hard about this scene is, how biologically accurate it (well, not nor panthers, but for lions). If in the wild a lion isn’t helping hunt enough, or just being a bad leader overall, it’s the lionesses that attack and kick the lion out of the pride. Exactly what happened here.

The post production was incredibly rushed. Some of these shots were only given 6 week deadlines. The film came out in February of 2018, with major fight scenes still being filmed in November of 2017.

This movie is one of top three marvel films of all time. Chadman made this movie amazing, his acting was so in line with the role, you could actually feel it, it wasn't thr graphics that made this film, it was him and suri, their relationship, as one of six children, and the oldest male, I know the love of a brother , and they played these roles so well! Magic, all the way! I am a comic lover, and I never was really sold on black panther before this, to me he was over powered, but seeing ot with then in these roles, changed everything! He will forever be black panther to me, and I swear I hope suri becomes the next bkack panther, as much as kill monger was an awesome character and well-played, she deserves it, and has the heart for the role!

It already breaks the immersion by the way Killmonger just throws people around or even that he takes a hostage in the first place. He's characterised as a killer, he shot his girlfriend without a lot of motive for goodness sake, and now he's tossing people out of harm's way just because they have a speaking role in the film. Yes it's a common movie trope but it really sticks out in this scene.

There are so many unique aspects to BPs story that would have helped this movie really stand out. But they didn't. Just more wasted characters and bland stories. Killmongers costume was so bad ass. Also I love the small details that it’s not just fully black like tchallas it’s actually got the black spots that help panthers and Jaguars blend. If you look closely you’ll see it’s got the like brown color of fur but with the black spots it looks black.

@@MikeOrigins I don't think it was good at all. They went the easy route and produced a generic superhero film that felt like everything else. There are so many unique aspects to BPs story that would have helped this movie really stand out. But they didn't. Just more wasted characters and bland stories. Not to mention embarrassingly bad CGI.

Who’s here after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier just to see Ayo? Lol (I honestly didn’t even noticed her before, but she’s so good!)
Killmongers costume was so bad ass. Also I love the small details that it’s not just fully black like tchallas it’s actually got the black spots that help panthers and Jaguars blend. If you look closely you’ll see it’s got the like brown color of fur but with the black spots it looks black.
Chadwick Boseman was a perfect for black panthers role i don't know will the new actor be able to portray black panther as perfect as Chadwick Boseman
