Airborne (ABN) Command Headquarters (HQ) attempts through an interpretive living history experience to tell the complete story in broad strokes of US Airborne during WWII - specifically the day to day life in garrison as well as in the field of a US Soldier in an ABN Division.
The story of the Airborne during WWII is more than just a single squad, platoon, company or regiment in a single Division. It is the story of highly motivated individuals imbrued with an esprit de corps - fighting as a highly integrated team - frequently behind enemy lines to strike and hold bridges, airfields, roadways; significant towns and villages for the follow up Allied Armies comprised of Infantry, Armor, Artillery and Service Support as they liberated Europe (and the Pacific).
Our impressions are that of Airborne troopers and support personnel typically found in an Airborne Division; Parachutists, Glidermen, Artillery, Signals, Engineering, Ordinance & Medical​
