United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 18 ก.พ. 2014
Airborne (ABN) Command Headquarters (HQ) attempts through an interpretive living history experience to tell the complete story in broad strokes of US Airborne during WWII - specifically the day-to-day life in garrison, as well as in the field, of a US paratrooper and glider riders in an Airborne Division.

How to Capture Prisoners - Blooper
มุมมอง 312 ปีที่แล้ว
This was our first attempt at making the video of the ultimate game of rock, paper, scissors. Unfortunately, our 5th SS Wiking fellow living historian forgot to speak in German. We don't mind posting our bloopers, especially if it is funny as well!

The ultimate game of rock, paper, scissors. Loser becomes a POW. Just a little funny video we did this past weekend with a little help from our fellow living historians, the 5th SS 'Wiking' group.
Mess Kitchen Busy Cooking Supper

Airborne Command's four mess cooks enjoy their work feeding the troops at Living History days at the Museum of the American GI 2022. They are cooking supper (dinner in 2022 terms) that consisted of Salisbury steak/gravy, mashed potatoes, and fruit.
Field Kitchen Truck
มุมมอง 3592 ปีที่แล้ว
We recently acquired an originally designed field kitchen truck for our Airborne Command mess. Here it is starting up and driving out. This is a Chevrolet G-506, 1 1⁄2-ton, 4x4 truck, built specifically as a mobile field kitchen. It has fold down sides to put prepared food on, for easy reach by the troops walking past and the cooks on board. It also still has it's original engine.

lol I think he just got a woody lol
That doesn't look fun to shoot at all.
Powerful 45 cal. Bro couldnt hold thre damn thing still.😅
The joy on bros face 😂😂😂
That man was having some fun, boy.
Wasn’t going to hit anything 😂
That bolt must be very heavy considering how much it jumps around just firing blanks (but yeah, like they're saying; that one is cycling fast).
How did you up the rate of fire so much?
Now you killing , now you ain't
Love that movie

Cool I've been obsessed with WillyJeeps since I was a kid 😊
Fun fact: in the movie "the incredibles", syndromes soldiers are shown to be using m3 grease guns
Why the firerate is fast i thought its slower

The Dirty Dozen gun
That look of joy 😊
In COD 2 it’s greatly unstable
It seems like if you don't hit your target instantly, then you're out of ammo & in big trouble 😮
Blanks or not that has to be so much fun
That must have a really light bolt
I was a Tanker in the Army. We had these in the Tank ..it was fun to shoot. And such a simple operation we also had a Thompson.
How old are you?
You mean a drum gun like fortnite ? Jk 🤣
You may have known my uncle Eduardo Daniel a tanker in army from Fort Knox
@@smh9902According to the internet the military gave tank crews m3s up until around desert storm. Definitely caught me off guard, I figured they were all gone come the 70s
@@eancola6111 Yeah, I know the M3 was used up into the 90's and the Army still has them in reserves. Its the Thompson that compelled me to ask.
The M3 has a shoulder stock. If you want to hit the enemy, use it.
this is clearly just testing the gun out for the first time for fun calm down.
And here I thought the Tommy Gun was the "grease gun". 🤌🇮🇹
Looking at the rear of the receiver, it seems as if the muzzle dips with every round, the weapon rotating around his grasp of the magazine. I would expect to be seeing muzzle rise, no?
no because the weight of the bolt slamming forward makes it drop the recoil is supposed to counterbalance that so he could have more acurate shot while automatic fire. but the guy does not have control over the gun and just shot everywhere he could use some more firm grip on the gun.
@@olpi1457, thanks for the explanation. All the best!

Nice
Dude looks super stoked.
Look at those baggy army pockets. Semper Fi
haha i love how happy he is just to shoot it
This sounds much faster than standard. The Grease Gun is supposed to be 400-450rpm, but this sounds more akin to a Thompson at 650-700rpm. Has it been modified?
th-cam.com/users/shortspNrjSn5Vs3c?si=jB4Q9PkURiLpBM5j. This is how they are supposed to sound
Very reliable gun when firing single shots but on fully auto it is ridiculously inaccurate..
I don’t remember the m3 being the same fire rate as a thompson, but nice uniform :D
If you're up for more than 5 seconds, have the letter home in your leg pocket so it won't be so soaked in blood when they get it. I guarantee you'd move with more purpose if someone was cracking rounds at you. But good effort. Don't forget to roll out of the prone on the up movement, not only is it easier, but it also helps offset the point of aim of where you landed. You can still snag an original WWII U.S. Infantry manual online if you're patient and lucky. It'll explain things far better than I. SSG. What in the fuck haha someone modified that M3
Probably some stiffer springs behind the bolt. I've read that tankers would do this to up the rate of fire. In turn, that slight modification sacrifices stability & adds more recoil to the Grease Gun

Oh boy! Some of those guys wore walking dead.... 😂
Nice...but turn little bit too fast...
There is a slight speed adjustment available for sound quality but these spin at 78 rpm.
The rate of fire seems faster than normal.
This is an actual M3 that has been blank adapted. The rate of fire is normal for the M3.
@@wwiiairbornecommandhqopera5457 no he's got a point this M3 fired atleast 150 rounds faster than the standard rate of fire

Where could I get a t5 parachute
The T5 backpack and reverse pack are from QMI with decommissioned USAF parachutes, minus riser lines in each pack (correct size for both the main and reverse where used).
Where could I find a good repro
The T5 backpack and reserve pack are from QMI. The appropriate sized chutes for each pack are decommissioned, minus the riser lines, USAF parachutes.
why is the T5 not jump certified?
End up breaking both your legs. It's not as safe as the other newer parachutes like the T-10. It's scary to jump with. You come down quite hot.
It is a reproduction of the WWII issue T5. None of the necessary equipment to safely jump with this pack are present. It just resembles the look and weight of the T5 and can be worn to get the filling of what it was like to strap one on, without worrying about damaging an original.
