I've been absolutely loving my graph gear 1000 pencil too. It's so nice because the weight is very well balanced which I think is why it feels so good in the hand.

I love pentel! I especially love their pocket brush pen, it lasts for so so long and I've been sketching with it almost daily for nine or ten years, I only had to replace it now because I stupidly trimmed the brush 😂💔 Watching you go through your most used supplies reminded me of your videos when you first shared these supplies so it felt so wholesome 🥰

OMG, Sketches -- I HAAATE the Pentel pocket brush pen! I can't control that floppy brush at all, and trying to get the cap on without splitting the bristles is super annoying. I ruined mine on purpose creating a drybrush background, so I could throw it away guilt free. 🔥💀🔥 That said, the Pentel Sign/Touch pens are some of my favorite pens to sketch and doodle with, and I have a pile of them in different colors.
Favorite art supplies: too many to list, so I'll just pick the Koh-i-Noor TriTone colored pencils, which have three mixed complimentary colors in each pencil, so you get a lovely color variation when you use them. (I like any pencil with multicolored lead - I also have the Koh-i-Noor clutch pencil with the big 5.6mm "magic" lead.)

@@SketchesnScrubs Lol! You are absolutely right -- definite goldy locs vibes! I do love a variable line weight, but I'd rather control it (probably because I do a lot of comics and cartoony art). I struggled so bad with the pocket brush pen -- kept coming back to it time after time, and giving up in frustration. That learning curve was just too steep for me! 😂😂😂

Yes, I love the thick lead of that Koh-i-Noor clutch pencil. It feels so balanced when holding it -I got a softish lead and it is great to draw on a big sheet. Well done for mentioning it!

Good pencil does not make squeeky sound, the lead does not break as often, and the hand does not tire as much and you don’t get calluses. So I get it, good pencil is important. I have to say I prefere wooden pencils for drawing.

M Graham watercolors are really nice. They only come in tubes. . They rewet easily and stay moist and can run in a typical metal box. Your use of colors makes me feel happy and joyful looking at your paintings. What I enjoy about art are all the colors. Years ago I purchased the full 126 set of Caran D'Ache Neocolor 2s.

I actually got another one of the stay wet palettes today since I saw it was part of the prime day sale (and because I purchased a brand new professional set of gouache, mix of Daniel Smith and Winsor & Newton open stock and cannot wait to receive them) as well as one of those super small 8 pan wooden plein air palettes, because I want to keep one in my purse so I can paint wherever and whenever inspiration strikes. Now, I'm thinking I should get one of those travel brush sets (to carry with me all the time), even though I did pick up the silver black velvet travel brush in a size 2 as well, since I use the size 8 so often. I just don't want to throw those in my purse/bag loose to get banged up.

I love all art supplies, and am currently learning watercolor and gouache and how to use other media, like Neocolor IIs and colored pencils with them. I'm also intrigued with the idea of using water and/or alcohol with soft pastels. My most go-to combinations so far have been oils or oil pastels over an acrylic block-in. As you can imagine, I've spent tons of money on all these materials, and have enough to open my own store! Now to actually use everything...P.S. You have the best smile!!

The first sketchbook I bought is Hahnemühle 100% cotton and I love it even though I am a bit scared to use it bc of the price. Great video! I love so many of the products you mentioned in this video. The pentel graph gear pencils are the best! I have one in 0.9 but want to try others. Love how sturdy it feels, and the gnurled grip. I have the Pentel aquash aqua brush mini, I filled it with carbon black ink... It is my absolute favorite brush pen. I recommend a few things: The tombo mono zero eraser. It's like a mechanical pencil but it's an eraser and is amazing for small bits. I also love two pens for making varied line width drawings: The first is the pilot parallel pen (typically used for calligraphy). It comes in various sizes and I fil them with carbon ink. It creates an amazing line quality. The second is the Sailor fude fountain pen with the bent nib. Also amazing for sketching outdoors.

For brushes, I like Escoda Versatil, Princeton Aqua Elite and Jackson’s Ravens line of mop brushes. I struggle to find watercolour paper which is very good quality yet not outrageously expensive. Paper is very expensive in Canada probably because it’s imported from all over the world. I also like the Caran d’ache neocolour II watersoluable crayons and the Faber Castile Albert Durer watercolour pencils. @serenityjewel ปีที่แล้ว +2

How fast gouache molds depends on the binder and bioside the manufacturer uses, or doesn't use. You can prevent mold by letting it dry out before sealing it, spritzing it with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide from a mist bottle every few days or paintings, or putting in a little clove bud oil.

Hi, you mentioned in the video that you've got an Epson printer because of the ink that won't smudge when using watercolor. I had this problem with my printer which is a Brother MFC-J6930DW A3 size, which prints very well by the way, but unfortunately, I had printed some swatch cards that smudged when I did the swatching. Just to confirm is the Epson WorkForce WF-7830 that you have? The one that is A3 size? because the link is taking to an HP printer, which is A4. I'm thinking about replacing my printer if I'm not able to replace the ink with a waterproof one. What kind of ink the printer must have? in my mind, I always thought all ink cartridges from printers were waterproof. 🤔
For the fountain pen I have a Lanxivi Duke Fude pen with a medium nib, a bent nib and also the ink converter, but I haven't used much recently, now that you have mentioned about it, I will try use it more often. I also have the same travel brushes set, the stay wet palette (although this one I'm not sure why I've bought, because I don't use gouache 🤣🤣) , and the Baohong paper which I also got it from Temu. The things that you mentioned that I already have on my wish list are the pencil case and the Seawhite sketchbook. The other items, good to know and I might try them out in the future.
Thank you for this video and specially the mention about the printer. I've got really upset because my swatch cards got smudged that I've ended up buying a stencil on Etsy and had to outline all my swatch cards by hand, one by one. It was fun, but takes too much time. Printing them would be a life saver. 😉
