Thanks so much! we are going to make more videos soon from time on our new boat - but in the mean time it was so fun to rewatch our old footage that we had to share :)
You guys were really hamming it up there. Did no one tell you not to play with your food! Thanks for helping me procrastinate some more. It was truly entertaining.
That just shows how weird I am, I find downwind kind of boring lol. I like pounding into swells, the rolling the spray, the actual hand sailing not auto pilot that is why I love sailing. Happy to see you guys back can't wait for more.
Great to see a video from you folks again. I was dreaming about your life when I was watching your videos, and now have a boat of my own. More videos please!!
Thanks for taking the time to share this with us. Perfect content to consume during quarantine. We miss watching your adventures and hope to see you back sometime. Stay safe.
Awesome, Great to see the Atlantic crossing, last video I saw was the “Mayday” video. So happy you have a new boat and new boating videos will be coming! 👍😀
We did. Unfortunately. This footage is from 2016. Buuuut, we also bought a new boat right before covid-19 hit (great timing) so someday we will be back sailing ...
Latecomer to your channel, but a weekend binge watching has got me to this point, loved yo7 riding round Europe, shame you missed riding through France, it’s a trip for the future perhaps, Did the bike and sidecar get back home safely ?
Hi Guys, great to see you back. What was wrong with the spreader on the mast ? Also I saw your video about the yacht sinking and said to my self they didn’t know or do enough to get it going again. As I said read THERE REPORT on it and well they did everything and what a great read it was seeing it from there side of the drama. I think everyone should read it so they can understand what they went through.
The spreader was loose. Once we took down the mast we were able to see what part was broken and do a quick repair. It ended up being easier than we had feared so we were able to leave for the crossing the next day.
@9:50, what/who is a weather router? Is that a piece of gear on the boat that tracks and analyzes weather systems and spits out recommendations, or is that a person/service that you can subscribe to and they advise you of impending doom and best courses of action?
This was a person that was paid to send us daily reports and analysis of the best routes depending on upcoming weather. It was a service that the crew paid for during crossings and not something that we had used in our day sailing cruising. It proved to be super helpful!
We are living in chicago. Working working working. But we just had a baby and bought a new boat. So someday when all of this scary craziness is over, we’ll get back to sailing again.
Are you sure this is a 67 foot yacht? Discovery seem not to have a 67 foot yacht in their range. It’s more likely a 58 which makes a big difference to your audience. Nevertheless it is a fun video, even if the detail is slightly off. Have fun, we will look for more news from you.
right im not going to lie, i used to work for discovery and its not a great company they amount of bosh jobs they made us do and the time frame that they gave to build everything was always rushed. in the end i had to leave as they killed that carrier for me and i wasn't proud of the product that they where making, i only hope that your yacht doesn't have too many problems.
I'm sorry you had that experience! this wasn't our yacht (way above anything we could ever hope to afford) so we were just crew. Can't comment on how the boat faired before and after our trip, but we didn't experience any major problems for what that's worth. I hope you found happiness after leaving Discovery!
YES YES YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You were my FAVORITE for the longest!!!!....when you were sailing. WELCOME BACK!!!!

Survival Ham.....
