Why is it so much better than the Tab S4? For me it seems like the Tab S6 is nearly the same as the Tab S4 only with upgraded CPU, SPen and the Design. What are the big difference between this Tabs?
About the ecosystem... I got the S10+, the galaxy watch 46mm, the galaxy buds and now the Tab S6 256GB, and the phone and tablet have amazing communication with each other, the watch doesn't even care about the tablet, and the buds are kind of annoying to get to connect to the right device, but overall it's a great experience.
Finally a tab that dosent suck the stats page. And finally a tablet that can call my home, its home too! I bought the tab S4 and took it back the same day, I bought the tab S5 and took it back within 5 days, Pureley based on stats I know this tab is a keeper. 256GB on board memory and 8GB of ram, finally!!! the main kick in the pants has been the RAM, with 4GB cutting me short more often than I like. And the use of low tier/old gen processors. Which all add up to my phone working faster than a tablet. This is no longer the case. So Tab S6 vs Ipad Pro. I have both. Laptop replacement? Tab s6 running dex with the keyboard case is the winner(there is a trend on these reviews saying the keyboard case back is adhesive, and it loses its stick but this is %100 false, it is a surprisingly effective rubber mount that relies on suction, people complaining that it wont go back on 1. Need to clean the Tab and the rubber ring and 2 stop removing it so often, its not designed to be removed all the time) . Emailing, simple word docs and file transfering. S6 files system is so easy to navigate and as close to a pc as youll get from an android tab. Drawing and design? Ipad pro, running affinity designer and procreate, apple pen is 10x better for drawing and way less latancy. Im a Samsung fanboy, but im a graphics designer, Ipad wins here unfortunately. Ipad pro 12.9 with apple pencil 2 is still the gold standard for close-to professional design setup. And will have a 3 to 4 year life with the current spec standards. Gaming and media consumption, Tab s6 is the clear winner, the ability to connect my 8Bitdo controller and having compatability across the board for games to emulators. Also emulators run really well on the s6 such as ePSX and Damon Ps2. This tab runs san andreas better then my ps2 did back in the day. And the SPen feels good for point and tap games like buldurs gate and runescape. Samsung "Ecosystem" Tab s6 connects to the buds as easily as the phones and latency free. Buds paired with your watch or phone? Simply open the galaxy wearables app and it will automatically connect to the Tab from now on until you open the wearables app on the phone. And vice versa. @jdouglas8585 no my s6 is still amazing for what i bought it for, this looks more like an Ipad pro replacement but in saying that android dont have the apps to make it a great design tablet imma stick to apple on that front
One of the big advantages of the Tab S6 is that it has Dual audio. My Tab S5e didnt have dual audio. This allows you to connect two sets of Bluetooth headphones and watch movies together on a plane or wherever. I hated that my TabS5e didnt have that feature.
I'm waiting for the release of Tab S7 and I'm hoping it to have 12inch plus screen, 120htz, above 60fps 4k and a faster processor. But most likely it will have Snapdragon 865. Irl be surprised if Samsung released its newer faster Exynon chip to compete with Apples A13 for Tab S7. But Snapdragon 865+ should be perfect against A13. Just slightly slower doesn't matter. It's like 0-60 in 2.7sec against 3.0sec. It's minor. Why am I not choosing Apple Pro 2020 instead? Because ios has no freedom to download apps out of its store....Android is better in many ways.

You can use Samsung Flow to receive phone messages (and answer them) on your tablet. The office apps work really well too, with surprisingly much functionality. If you're looking for a laptop alternative (not replacement) Dex is definitely the closest experience you can get on a tablet. I've been using Android since my iPhone 5 got stolen and I got a Samsung Note, which made my realize how closed off the iOS infrastructure is. I've been using android ever since and never looked back. Until.... iPadOS. I am seriously considering swapping my Samsung Tab for the new 2020 iPad when it comes out. It's probably not going to be as close to a laptop experience as Dex but I miss the creative apps too much on the Tab. I also take a lot of handwritten notes and the apps on Android just aren't cutting it.

I can confirm that Note 9 spen is fully compatible with the Tab. All functionally is present, including button, pointer and air commands. The Tab can also charge the Note 9 sPen at the back.

Hey Jack, I've been having a problem with Autodesk sketchbook, I have the note 10+ and when I save a drawing, and a week pass, now when I try to open or modify the drawing, it doesn't let me I don't know why, can someone help me please?
As a future reference a 2K display is technically 2048x1080. The Tab S6 has a much higher resolution, it would be better to call it a 2.5K display or 1600p display.
03chrisv Doesn’t mean that its any sharper than an ordinary 2k display. For a real comparison you have to take a look at the pixel density. The tab s6 might have a “higher resolution” as 2k but thats just because of the screen size and screen format! :)

TabS6 LTE version will be joining my Note10Plus,Note9, Oneplus7pro, and oneplus6t at home base in October definitely. But first the Galaxy Watch 2 LTE version will be bought on September 27th.
Guys I need help. Should I buy this tablet? The Samsung chromebook? Or the asus Zenbook pro? Im going to be doing online classes...going to use it for work and run skype or something like that as well. I would prefer it still work pretty good with my note 10 plus. Also it needs to be poweful yet mobile at a good price. Any advice is welcome I need to buy it soon lol. P.S. im probably going with the soon to release flexx book alpha but advise is still nice 👌.
I got an LTE version from TMobile at half off when it went on sale during the holidays. It's a very thin tablet and amazingly light. I also have an LTE iPad Air and used it as a GPS during my recent trip. Hopefully this will perform the same when I travel again. A large screen GPS can't be beat. Samsung hasn't released new firmware for it which is a big disappointment compared to Apple updates. Otherwise the Tab S6 does well. BTW if you have a Note 10, the stylus pen works with this.
Hey Greggles, did you try clicking SPen button while holding the pen near to the screen? Opening command center should work. I do it currently in my TabS4 and Note 10 with either pen. Also, try going on advance features and turning on 'use multiple pens on this device'.
The Samsung attachable keyboard was a major disappointment: 1. it does not adhere well to the tablet; 2. You have to detach it to use the tablet for reading, viewing, etc. as if you fold it back the keyboard continues to respond to touch ... so, I'm wondering, with DeX, if anyone has experienced using the tablet with external keyboard and mouse of which there are many available such as reasonably priced Logitech versions?
You can use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse wirelessly. I prefer using the Type-C USB OTG adapter (it's in the box if you have an S8 or newer Samsung phone) and I just plug the wireless dongle from my wireless mouse & keyboard into the adapter and it works perfectly. I bought a $25 case from Amazon and the mouse & keyboard for $30 at Office Depot and I'm good to go.

Bestbuy does not charge a restocking fee. That's only if you certain items from the store like a projector, camera, and phone. If they did charge it it's only 15$ but they dont charge a restocking fee
@4:36 to answer the guy's question about constant wifi drop, its probably the router itself and not really the tablet. The wifi channel on his router must be intertwined with other wifi routers nearby it. Best thing to do is change the channel on the wifi router to a more less wifi traffic channel. Unless he dropped his tab so much that he messed up his wifi radio on his tab that is lol
God I want this tablet so much but I just think there is a reason to wait for the next version. I hope that they would include reverse wireless charging and a deeper groove for the s-pen to rest on. If they do that I won't hesitate to buy it. Any other upgrade would just be a plus for me.
Best Tab s6 review I've seen so far! Really nice job. I really want that tablet but at this point I think I'll just be waiting for the S7. If it comes with 120hz that'll be a keeper for me.
Make it even more useful and install linux on it with termux and andronix! I'm running Debian 10 on my note 9. I'm waiting for the next tablet to be released before I purchase one.
If they would make a 12.9 version like the iPad Pro, I would definitely be interested. Giving all of the capabilities to this size tablet makes me cringe. I don't want to have to adjust by learning to type on the smaller keyboard used on this device. It makes more sense for Samsung to hit directly at the 12.9 Pro market, for this device. If someone is going to spend the big bucks on the iPad Pro full setup, why not do the same, Samsung? Hint, hint!
The call and text setting, I have it on my note 10 plus. But it is not on my tablet, also the phone dialer app is not there also. Do you have any instructions on any extra requirements needed to get the setting to show up, and the phone dialer.

I was gonna get the Tab S6 then I heard that the Microsoft surface pro 7 will be getting announced in early Oct and will be released some time first half of next year. So I'll save for that considering it'll no doubt cost quite the buck.
This is much better Tab compared to Tab S4. I had that and hardly used it ever as I had an iPad pro. However this tablet is too good and every day I am compelled to use it whenever I need to use a lighter tablet. I feel iPad pro 12.9 (2018) is much better but I use that more as a laptop replacement. S6 wins hands down on portability.

The default Samsung Notes app is very powerful and can easily translate your handwritten text on the fly as you write, or you can go back afterwards and SEARCH for words in your handwritten notes that can also be easily converted from handwritten to text instantly. You can insert drawings and photos at any time. As an alternative, if you want to take notes without the screen lit the whole time, you can use the pen on the lockscreen to write 150+ pages of handwritten notes on the black background. Can an iPad do that?
Autodesk Sketchbook is the standard for drawing apps on Android. I don't know how it compares to ProCreate, but I'm sure there are videos comparing them.
I just upgraded to the tab s6 from a tab a7 (2019) had to with renewed through Amazon. first one was still locked by the previous owners credentials. meaning it wasn't "renewed". the replacement (from the buy it again option) was now $40 more. Amazon then referred me to their 3rd party pricing policy and wouldn't help. I let it go. the replacement arrived 2 days early. s-pen worn down and no replacement tips. also, they sent the lte version and wifi only. beautiful bright pink t-mobile splash screen on each boot. is it worth trying to exchange again? no real difference with the lte model? different battery drain? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
Did u mean to change Dark to Light Mode ? Simply just click the "Night Mode" on the top notification panel.. (Half Moon icon) that will instantly change day/night mode of the tab s6
Hi there. Please can you help me with a problem I have with my new Samsung Gallery A6. I'm in lockdown / isolation in New Zealand so can't get to any tech shop. When I get a message with a link on it , I press the link which is blue, a window pops down saying : This App is not Allowed to open Samsung Internet. I then push on it anyway and another wi dows drops down with the same link and I press on open Browser. Nothing happens. Thanks

You could sync the note 10 S-pen by toggling off and on the S-pen air actions. It is going to ask you whether to connect a new S-pen or keep connecting with the same one.
No, with Verizon your tablet will get a number but that number is solely for having the tablet connected to LTE since your IMEI needs a number to ping info from the towers from the SIM to connect a signal. Any " connected " device you get besides LTE smartwatches on any carrier will be like this. That being said, you can download a free text and calling app designed for wifi which tbh I dont reccomend but you could use one to make calls and texts from a LTE connected device since you'll be connected. Those apps are usually made for people who dont have actual service but are on wifi. Since you'd be on LTE it would work without wifi but they're not trustworthy apps usually and most of the time carry malware. Same thing with those " cleaner apps "
i have a question, if u have the same problem on your tablet: I don't see comments on youtube in horisontal orientation. but in vertical i can scroll down and see all of them, but not in the horisontal: video discribing ends and there is nothing after that. I have this tablet I also brought the keyboard book cover to go with it. Let's say I'm following a tutorial on TH-cam or I'm doing a course on udemy is there anyway I can set the keyboard so when I press spacebar the video will pause and unpause?

I bought this specific tablet off of Amazon and lo and behold when I powered it up I was not able to to use it because half the screen does not show up and I can barely see anything. Get the Galaxy Tab S6. It's the cheapest and the most versatile. The S-pen is a more pleasurable experience than the Apple and Microsoft offerings, as well as being much more versatile with Air Command, which simply does not exist in the others. Besides, you have an S-pen in the box for free.
Well i would scratch out surface pro really and it depends now do you want to be on android or ios thats all although ipad pro is expensive like really the tab s6 can do almost all with the less price on its tag

As a future reference a 2K display is technically 2048x1080. The Tab S6 has a much higher resolution, it would be better to call it a 2.5K display or 1600p display.
03chrisv Doesn’t mean that its any sharper than an ordinary 2k display. For a real comparison you have to take a look at the pixel density. The tab s6 might have a “higher resolution” as 2k but thats just because of the screen size and screen format! :)

I got an LTE version from TMobile at half off when it went on sale during the holidays. It's a very thin tablet and amazingly light. I also have an LTE iPad Air and used it as a GPS during my recent trip. Hopefully this will perform the same when I travel again. A large screen GPS can't be beat. Samsung hasn't released new firmware for it which is a big disappointment compared to Apple updates. Otherwise the Tab S6 does well. BTW if you have a Note 10, the stylus pen works with this.

You can't edit in Word on this tablet. Microsoft haven't allowed this on a tablet of this size. You have to have a license.

Hey Greggles, did you try clicking SPen button while holding the pen near to the screen? Opening command center should work. I do it currently in my TabS4 and Note 10 with either pen. Also, try going on advance features and turning on 'use multiple pens on this device'.

The Samsung attachable keyboard was a major disappointment: 1. it does not adhere well to the tablet; 2. You have to detach it to use the tablet for reading, viewing, etc. as if you fold it back the keyboard continues to respond to touch ... so, I'm wondering, with DeX, if anyone has experienced using the tablet with external keyboard and mouse of which there are many available such as reasonably priced Logitech versions?
I use Dex on S10E with regular mouse and keyboard. 3rd party Dex adapter from Amazon works fine.
You can use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse wirelessly. I prefer using the Type-C USB OTG adapter (it's in the box if you have an S8 or newer Samsung phone) and I just plug the wireless dongle from my wireless mouse & keyboard into the adapter and it works perfectly. I bought a $25 case from Amazon and the mouse & keyboard for $30 at Office Depot and I'm good to go.

@4:36 to answer the guy's question about constant wifi drop, its probably the router itself and not really the tablet. The wifi channel on his router must be intertwined with other wifi routers nearby it. Best thing to do is change the channel on the wifi router to a more less wifi traffic channel. Unless he dropped his tab so much that he messed up his wifi radio on his tab that is lol

God I want this tablet so much but I just think there is a reason to wait for the next version. I hope that they would include reverse wireless charging and a deeper groove for the s-pen to rest on. If they do that I won't hesitate to buy it. Any other upgrade would just be a plus for me.

If they would make a 12.9 version like the iPad Pro, I would definitely be interested. Giving all of the capabilities to this size tablet makes me cringe. I don't want to have to adjust by learning to type on the smaller keyboard used on this device. It makes more sense for Samsung to hit directly at the 12.9 Pro market, for this device. If someone is going to spend the big bucks on the iPad Pro full setup, why not do the same, Samsung? Hint, hint!

The call and text setting, I have it on my note 10 plus. But it is not on my tablet, also the phone dialer app is not there also. Do you have any instructions on any extra requirements needed to get the setting to show up, and the phone dialer.

I was gonna get the Tab S6 then I heard that the Microsoft surface pro 7 will be getting announced in early Oct and will be released some time first half of next year. So I'll save for that considering it'll no doubt cost quite the buck.
The watch comes into play via flow app. It helps to unlock tab. Pretty unneeded though since face unlock is so smooth and snappy.

This is much better Tab compared to Tab S4. I had that and hardly used it ever as I had an iPad pro. However this tablet is too good and every day I am compelled to use it whenever I need to use a lighter tablet. I feel iPad pro 12.9 (2018) is much better but I use that more as a laptop replacement. S6 wins hands down on portability.

Ipad os has more apps for note taking but the s6 still works perfectly with onenote
The default Samsung Notes app is very powerful and can easily translate your handwritten text on the fly as you write, or you can go back afterwards and SEARCH for words in your handwritten notes that can also be easily converted from handwritten to text instantly. You can insert drawings and photos at any time. As an alternative, if you want to take notes without the screen lit the whole time, you can use the pen on the lockscreen to write 150+ pages of handwritten notes on the black background. Can an iPad do that?
Autodesk Sketchbook is the standard for drawing apps on Android. I don't know how it compares to ProCreate, but I'm sure there are videos comparing them.

I just upgraded to the tab s6 from a tab a7 (2019) had to with renewed through Amazon. first one was still locked by the previous owners credentials. meaning it wasn't "renewed". the replacement (from the buy it again option) was now $40 more. Amazon then referred me to their 3rd party pricing policy and wouldn't help. I let it go. the replacement arrived 2 days early. s-pen worn down and no replacement tips. also, they sent the lte version and wifi only. beautiful bright pink t-mobile splash screen on each boot.

Hi there. Please can you help me with a problem I have with my new Samsung Gallery A6.
I'm in lockdown / isolation in New Zealand so can't get to any tech shop.
When I get a message with a link on it , I press the link which is blue, a window pops down saying : This App is not Allowed to open Samsung Internet.
I then push on it anyway and another wi dows drops down with the same link and I press on open Browser. Nothing happens.

No, with Verizon your tablet will get a number but that number is solely for having the tablet connected to LTE since your IMEI needs a number to ping info from the towers from the SIM to connect a signal. Any " connected " device you get besides LTE smartwatches on any carrier will be like this. That being said, you can download a free text and calling app designed for wifi which tbh I dont reccomend but you could use one to make calls and texts from a LTE connected device since you'll be connected. Those apps are usually made for people who dont have actual service but are on wifi. Since you'd be on LTE it would work without wifi but they're not trustworthy apps usually and most of the time carry malware. Same thing with those " cleaner apps "

Get the Galaxy Tab S6. It's the cheapest and the most versatile. The S-pen is a more pleasurable experience than the Apple and Microsoft offerings, as well as being much more versatile with Air Command, which simply does not exist in the others. Besides, you have an S-pen in the box for free.
