3:50 I love how the Daleks just dramatically force the people across the room for thirty seconds instead of shooting them on the spot. The idea that the Daleks "enjoy" the fear they create is an interest concept that I think could be explored more.
They explore it pretty well in the "Maximum Extermination" scene. The atmosphere, along with Davros' monologue, highlights just how cruel and sadistic the Daleks are at their core.
They had no tactical or logistical reason to go to that floor They did it for the thrill of the massacre Simply because these people weren't daleks and deserved to suffer
It's why I don't really agree when people claim the Daleks have no emotions except hate. Davros says so, but personally I think that Daleks just bottle their emotions and that's what creates hate.
The last one is one of my favourite Dalek moments… no mercy, giving false hope, false feeling of a chance to live at gun point. A motivational speech… then you turn to the Doctors face when the Doctor knows what’s coming next… “EXTERMINATE!!!”
I don't know if it's because I just watched parting of ways but the moment lynda is on the observation platform and we see a dalek just outside in space we don't even hear it say the words but you know exactly what its saying whats about to happen
I know the Doctor was told to respect Solomon's authority but I feel like it would have been kiiiinda important to mention to him that daleks are genetically engineered to have no compassion.
That last clip just makes me so happy that RTD is coming back to write for the Daleks again. Update 2024: Nevermind. RTD apparently forgot how to write anything half-decent while he was away from the show.
7:06 I don't think I've laughed harder in my life. I literally dropped my phone. A minute long, stomach-turning "Why can' we jus' be frenz?" twaddle monologue followed by him getting fried like bacon.
I love the one where’s 3 daleks on the other side of the window in the space station and you just see the lightbulbs flash knowing full well what’s being said
Some of my favourites are: "You are the heathen, you will be exterminated." - Emperor Dalek The 'exterminate' from the Dalek that originally kills Jack, as well as the Crucible Surpeme. The first transmission in The Stolen Earth. The Dalek that shoots the 10th Doctor.
Number 5 is one of the darkest moments of the Daleks in the new series, ignoring their objection to satisfy their unstoppable urge to kill, even know the daleks in that story were made from humans… just wow
I love the "Eat s*** and die," attitude of the recon Dalek's "Exterminate!" in response to the GCHQ guy. Generally, using it like it's a quippy one-liner to kill someone goes down well. The Genesis Ark Daleks immediately going for civilians over Cybermen, similar to the Daleks in The Parting of the Ways going to floor zero. I find it interesting they'd prefer to remove the non-military targets but it makes sense for attacking morale and proving their evil.
I know how, threatening, devious and dangerous the daleks are...but for some reason 3:50 made me laugh a lot this roomba ahh looking creature just slides into the room and everyone panics
Trouble is that, as Missy pointed out in "The Witch's Familiar" Daleks are hardwired to survive through almost anything. If we did get undead Daleks then I'd argue they'd be more dangerous than the Emperor's zealous hybrid army in " Parting of the Ways"

Worth keeping in mind that the post-time war Emperor's Daleks were all batshit insane

I to can agree with your statement about the daleks, for I relate to having that thrill of the others fear.
In horror games

And someone who had been a main character in the story until then.
Well. His words did move the dalek hybrid commander though
"There is only one purification: Exterminate!" might just be the most raw Dalek line ever. I love it!
The floor 0 one is extremely chilling
Floor zero will always be the best and darkest use of Exterminate. Very reminiscent and accurately represented of the nazi germans. Terrifying scene.

And defeating them with ludicrously contrived deus ex machina. Again. 🤷♂️
@@minicle426and yet every single way he defeated the daleks was set up with an entire if not multiple series’s of plot points.
He’s good with how to characterise Daleks, only like 2 defeats of the Daleks in his run was great… other than those things, bad
My favourite part is when they all said "EXTERMINATE"
Bro same
Which time(?)

2:51 really liked Doomsday because with the music and all the daleks flying over the city makes you believe the Timewar is back on

Poor Solomon... 😢
6:10 Love that you can already see a gunstick pointed at Sec's back.
I've never noticed that holy crap!
Hostile elements will be deleted. Exterminate. "Cybermen screaming in pain.” 4:32
I really enjoyed that! Could you do one for the Classic Series too? I've got a Britbox account if you need access to classic series eps.

googled this to find a custom text tone this is great
I know they’re meant to be terrifying, but they’re so silly.
Gosh Ay music is so creepy between moments from show

I love Rory.W interaction with the Daleks in the asylum
Rory was extremely lucky the SWD didn't wake up
Cyber Controller: Excellent

I’ve got a question for you for question time @dalekbumps what is your favorite Dalek Attachment other than the main two
Where are the classic series lines?
I don’t think they said exterminate as much during the classic series
