I had such a massive goofy grin on my face and laughed so much at this. I've waited so damn long for a dalek to swear in frustration and the stairs was perfect for it
I feel so sorry for the Dalek. Now we know why they wanted to invade Earth. I wish this dalek all the best and hope he finds his dream job. This is the 2nd time I’ve felt sorry and emotional towards a dalek . Great video! Loved it !
Was the way the credits listed the male judge, female judge, and then the contestant in that order a go at the way Daleks call for "the males, the females, the descendants?"
'Bugger, I've lost them' is the line... I know, I found it at the BBC when I worked on the show. Ha ! Wonderful. I probably would have died if it said Bugger...
This is HILARIOUS and AWSOME at the same time The stairs, 😂 And the Dalek is SO COOL I want that Dalek!!!! You are so underrated! You NEED to make more Dalek films like this
"Stop touching my balls" -- possibly the most disturbing thing ever to come out of a Dalek's vocal processor! They're not "balls", everyone knows they're Etheric Beam Locators...
At 8:11 you can see the tow-line for a few seconds and the Dalek is pulled through the shot >< This is perfect! And then the crew member is reflected in the doors! I could not love this any more that I do right now!
A Dalek's life is never easy. Funny short film. I've always thought there was a silly side to Daleks. When I first saw them on television in the 1970s, I looked at them as oversized salt and pepper shakers with plungers for hands and emphasized vocals that could wake up an entire neighbourhood.
YT suggested this video - whilst I'm sorting server upgrades gone wrong, had this running, this is so funny. What springs to mind is a dalek version of Yosser Hughes!
Oh this is fun. Totally new Dalek ideas just don't happen. I loved this concept and it was done well enough for me cry with laughter. Bravo ! The options for a hugue number of related shows abound ! Yeeesss.
I was expecting to see a Dalek's daily life, e.g. shopping, taking a bus, cooking dinner, etc. It's tough being a pepperpot in a world designed for humanoids.
This was quite neat! Loved the intro with the classic 60s feel....learn that he had, in fact, made a mistake in the scene, and went on amused as it hit....stairs. It felt like part episode, part faux real life documentary, except the starring role is a Dalek. Thoroughly enjoyable.
"The anger issues were always there." Yes, well quite. I can honestly say that I had never given a great deal of thought to what life as a first generation immigrant Dalek was like. The prejudice, the ball touching, the fiddly ring pulls and, of course, the endless bloody stairs. Oh, the humanity! Well.....not actual _humanity,_ as such, but you know what I mean. And then, having reached school leaving age, to discover that one's employment prospects included only vaporizing people/things, or unblocking sinks and toilets, well, it's not difficult to see where the frustration begins, is it? Quite frankly, I can easily understand the relentless (possibly even a smidge sociopathic) urge to brutally dominate the entire galaxy, given the context. I'm British, after all. The icing on the poo filled cake must have been when, once the poor misunderstood creatures had managed to fit individual anti-gravity systems to themselves, we went and started putting bloody ramps and widened doorways in everywhere! The final insult! I don't know why they didn't wipe us out decades ago to be honest.
The funny thing is, who was the overworked bloke who invented the Daleks for the show? I mean, they are such a throw-away plot-wise. Also Davros, he never came up with any new ideas. He really won the title: "Grumpy-ass old alien" but never really made a convincing super-villian.
How did you do the voice? I've been wanting to do a Dalek voice for ages but have not been able to find a method that works. Every tutorial just ends up just sounding like me but slightly modulated.
I used to have a guitar effects pedal that had a ring modulator on it I used to use this to do the dalek voice. However once I added a little bit of distortion to it as well I was able to nail it. And it was convenient as the FX pedal had a distortion module on it as well. I'd add the distortion first.
As a doctor who fan I saw a lot of inaccuacy's, ESPECIALLY when the dalek didn't exterminate humans, and daleks are clones not a breed! But overall I like the comedy in it, I like the video 👍.

A Dalek said, "Oh b*gger!" and, "Oh, thank you!" 40 years ago in "The Five Doctors" out-take, voiced by Roy Skelton!
Well except for the fact daleks don't swear.
@@Andrew-s4f Good job. That's just what they want you to think.

This brilliant episode has once again reminded me to build my life-size Dalek which I still haven't done
good luck bro
How far have you got? Mine hasn't got out of my head yet.
I like how spare change is written in dalek script. It’s the little things. Excellent overall
I lost it at the dad dalek working in mail delivery ❤ brilliant stuff
I looked at the Dalek and wondered about the ELEVATE function. I'm guessing his model wasn't given that luxury.
That's all special effects. Real Daleks can't levitate.
no shit sherlock
Wanted him to say "Oh bugger" so badly at the lift signs

I alwaus thought Daleks had plungers. Dynorod needs Daleks!
Eggs,....eggs,.....eggs,....eggsterminate. 😂
I actually felt sorry for the poor dalek.
I love how you can feel how dejected he is as he leaves the audition.
When it came to the stairs and the dalek started to swear I couldn’t stop laughing🤣, dalek episodes are hilarious keep it up

Very well done. Reminds me of the superb out of work Dalek sketches on the Steve Wright in the afternoon show on BBC Radio 1 many years ago...
How the mighty are fallen. I remember watching him when he first made his debut and I hid behind the sofa. Now I just feel feel pity for him.

Spot on dalek impression 😂
Little did Dalek suspect that appearing as a Dalek would result in his becoming typecast as a Dalek.
60s daleks and 60s doctor were peak and no one can change my mind
This video was hilarious and you nailed the 1960s feel

Bravo 👏 👏
The Dalek should've dated a Dustbin, not a Henry!
Loves this wee unexpected Gem 💎
👍🏴
I near fucking wet myself watching this, "oh for fuck sake" 😂😂😂😂😂 says the dalek 🤣🤣🤣🤣 best thing ever.
"Anybody can make a mistake." said the Dalek getting off the wheelie bin.
The exact quote is:- "We all make mistakes!" said the dalek, climbing off the dustbin! - Jasper Carrott.
Look what you did Dr.Who, you put him on the street.

Yorick's skull appearing in his sucker hand. 😂😂😂
My brother was a telecom engineer in the 70s and used take the voice modulator out of a phone hand set and scare me witless with the voice of a dalek.
