I actually like this Destroyer WAY more than the Marvel Select Destroyer. The Select Destroyer is a little taller and thicker, but I think the Legends Destroyer has a nicer finish and is much more dynamic to pose around. The Select Destroyer is from the early era where Marvel Select’s big figures were basically statues with a few points of articulation lol
My second favourite Marvel Legend now Dan and a figure I’ve wanted since 1995 - Eric Masterson Thor, 20th Anniversary Cap is my favourite Marvel Legend ever, and Eric Masterson my second favourite, my God the Destroyer is excellent aswell!

Man, Erick Masterson as Thor looks so badass especially his bearded face and the Destroyer from Hasbro looks great but I think a heat vision blast alternative head should have been needed, Overall Cool 2 pack But for me, I will get the Ragnarok figure despite the red eyes and awesome review Dan.
The visor less thor is not masterson! Its odinson! The visor head is eric masterson but i suppose the tweaks to the overall figure lend itself to masterson more than simonsens thor run
I'm actually going to be using this Thor as my 31st Century Thor! I have built an Avengers of the 31st Century based on a What If? Story about an Avengers Team in the far Future. I have Figures of 3 of the 'Core' characters of that team which was a Futuristic Captain America, She Hulk, and Human Torch. I'm adding Immortals Sersi (MCU Version), and this Thor. I have several spare Black Widows so I may add a Varient of her as well.
I was getting into the larger Marvel Universe with "Infinity Gauntlet" and Eric Masterson was Thor at that time, so I followed him through the "Infinity War" and "Operation Galactic Storm" crossovers amongst his other 90s appearances and am excited to add him to the collection. Can't believe we are SO close to getting all of the heroes who took on Thanos in IG!
Don’t forget, Eric was Thor during the original Infinity Gauntlet saga, and it’s sequels, Infinity War and Infinity Crusade. I only wish Thor would have come with a calm Eric head, so we can replace the screaming Thunderstrike nonsense. (We still need Kevin’s Thunderstrike, too!) Destroyer, I would have liked the open face “firing” head. I forgot the MS had an alternate Odin head, so I still need to track him down.
I’m skipping most of the multi packs until they go on sale. I have MS Destroyer so the biggest draw isn’t as enticing. It’s a good pack for sure. Worth the price. I like Thor Odinson look better. The visor isn’t doing it for me. I like the beard.
Looks pretty good. Destroyer would be even better with double jointed elbows and a ball jointed waist. A head with lifted visor and blast effect would be cool. Eric looks ok but the flesh painted over the textured torso is a bit iffy. Had they painted the boots the same as the gold belt he would've really popped. Oh and why only one fist. Destroyer is the winner but Eric/Thor is pretty good
Eric got shorted as Thunderstrike, too. Not only that ludicrous screaming head, but he’s a lefty and wore a Gambit style glove on that hand, which they didn’t copy. 🙄
Pass for me, sadly. I love that Destroyer figure, but the Thor isn’t doing it for me. The skin on the side looks a bit odd, and I would have just liked a regular Thor Odinson head.
I might see if I can get the unmasked Eric head on thunderstorms and maybe hopefully swap the helmet of and put thunderstorms ponytail on the unmasked head .

I like these figures, and you did a nice review, Dan! I particularly like the Destroyer, which looks great! I love the details! but I just can't get behind those depictions of Mjolnir. They're too modern and too MCU for my tastes. The handle is far too short--very choad-like--and the head of the hammer is just too square, so this Mjolnir doesn't work for me. It doesn't work at all on the 80th Anniversary figure either. It's just too modern looking. This may not be the kind of thing that bugs ML fans, but it bugs me in the same way that getting an incorrect looking machine gun bugs GI Joe fans. If you gonna do classic stuff, Hasbro, you need to commit to doing "classic." Hasbro seems less concerned with accuracy, and a lot more concerned with saving pennies, and I find it pretty annoying. Maybe because I'm a comic book artist and I've been reading Thor for 50 years, I'm comin' down hard on Hasbro, but I don't think it's too hard to do a little research. I also think that the shitty sculpt that keep passing off as Mjolnir needs to go, so I had a 3-D sculpt of a classic Mjolnir made up for me, and I had it printed, and then I painted it up.
