Amaya needs to go back to AAA. He was only supposed to replace Gnomes while he was on the IL. This team is beyond repairable. Jed needs to stop shopping at the Goodwill for players and get some players that actually knows how to play. I never thought this team would be this bad. Ridiculous

@@SetupManCubs It has seemed that bec the Cub brass have been rushing prospects the last 2 years, that some guys aren't developing properly and then they're stuck w no options... instead of signing the right people to cover the field and then letting the very young players push the door open when they're truly ready...

Amaya was really injuried and worked very hard to physically come back, but he didn't play very much at the higher levels

At the game last night, it was a wtf happened moment, but the ump pointed at the catcher and made it clear. Then of course the Crew made em pay BIGTIME!

Just shows how much a manager matters over a season. The Brewers were going to over pay him but the Cubs saved us from that.

Cubs are a Dumpster Fire. Bellinger...DUH, Amaya gets his 4th CI call WOW, Tailon...take that glove and toss it...then the 1-2 Meatball for the Salami. The Bullpen is in shambles, Injured SP, Guys aren't hitting their weight....and how Bout the Boy Wonder Manager. Brewers are just making this look way too easy. Murphy is a damn good manager and with 77 games left to play the Cubs have got to get out of their own way or the Faithful will have Pitchforks & Torches in Wrigleyville!

Apparently fair ball called dead with umpire pointing directly at the catcher and awarding first base to the batter.
I guess I understand why the announcers think Blues Clues is some complex mystery show.
You don’t think the umpires or the PA should use the microphone to tell people the call? It’s one of the rarest occurrences in baseball.
Later in the game, the ump sent a runner back to 1st and no one could figure out why. It makes 0 sense
1-2 you've got two pitches to play with. Why do *that*? Try some kind of breaking ball that grazes the zone or a high fastball. Not a meatball like that.

How many more catcher mistakes and sub .200 BA will it take before the Amaya and Armstrong experiment ends ? Neither of these guys belong on a major league roster and that's been evident to everybody for quite some time , but Hoyer lets them plod along while he and Ricketts stick it to the fans just like they did to David Ross . Now they're getting what they deserve . I hope Wrigley is empty for the rest of the year . I dropped Marquee 3 weeks ago , I won't pay to watch that crap .
Respectfully disagree about PCA. His defense is elite and his bat will get better. But if he hits .225 and plays GG CF, I’m happy
@@SetupManCubs That's the problem with Chicago sports fans . They settle for mediocrity and hope . Your suggesting that keeping a guy in the lineup every damn day that's hitting .195 is good baseball sense , especially an outfielder who should basically only be a defensive replacement . Even at .225 it's unacceptable . If he hasn't hit MLB pitching by now he should be back at AAA working on his hitting , this on the job training ain't makin it . And as for Amaya, he's the worst Cubs catcher I've ever seen , offensively and defensively . The lack of production from those two guys is hurting the team as much as that incompetent bullpen . Winning teams don't operate like this , they constantly make adjustments till they get it right . This front office has just sat on their hands . It's not fair to the fans or the players .

I would not call that pitch a hanger. It had good movement with a little too much of the plate to give to a rookie with a hot bat, sure, but a hanger, no.

@@robhansen6370 To me a hanger is a pitch that doesn't break. IMO the pitch starts middle and breaks low and away (still in the zone). I guess if a hanger is a pitch that doesn't break enough then your definition has a broader meaning.
