Like new knots to try and i will give this a shot but i believe i will still stick with my double uni mainly because its so easy for me now and how small and clean the knot is because i use extra long leader line braid to fluorocarbon so i can cut and retie a lot without having to make a new leader so my knot goes through my guides a lot. Thanks.
The double uni is my "go to" knot. If tied correctly it is very strong. I snagged and pulled an old rusty crab pot from the bay. I sure thought I was going to lose my tackle, but the knot held up.

Its really slick and goes through my guides of my rod with not hang ups, really dont even notice it which is very important for how i fish.
I just tied this. Strong! 10lb brade to 8lb leader. Damn near cut my fingers trying to pull it apart. Had a double uni break off twice yesterday. My knot at hook was stronger obviously
Playback speed about 1.75x and it’s not so bad. Too many of these knot tyers seem to enjoy fondling their line and knots rather than just getting it tied.
Its simply the albright knot but Just a couple of different tucks & turns easy really . But I'm all for trying different knots 🪢 when adding shock leader. But I do tend to stick to the original albright knot its never let me down yet!!!!!!
Not a fan of this one. Too clunky and unsmooth and wears down too easy through the guides in my experience.. that goes for small and big lines, fresh and salt water applications for me.. but thanks for sharing! I'm sure it's vary useful for YOU and what YOU do. Cheers friends!

You've made it difficult seeing that end bit, fiddling around with the braid . then a quick snatch with the braid end , is it over under, who can tell? When we follow you guys we like to copy exactly. So please remember we don't all have big computers where it might be easier to see .

Too complicated. Uni to Uni is most simple and quickest way to connect any two lines. Good knot is the one which is reliable, strong and simple enough to be tied even in the dark. UtU has it all.

how does it compare to the bimini hitch leader knot so strong when i pull for a break it snaps on the main line instead at the knot as most styles do

It also looks far more complicated to tie than most traditional knots haha.
I have tied this knot with only 5 wraps and it stood up all day, but time consuming to tie. I'll stick with the double surgeon.

No thanks. That's a really poor option. Takes way to much time, and ends up with a thick knot that doesn't like going through the guides.
