Good video man. One tip, when you're holding the brake and you tighten the caliper screws, don't tighten first screw totally in and then the other one. First screw in lightly the first screw, then lightly the second screw. Then a bit more the first screw, then the second. And so on until they are both tight. This way the caliper will sit in its perfect natural position. Cheers! ✌️

To speed things up with getting the pads to bed in, they need deglazing. best way to do it is a bit of sandpaper or take the pads out and rub them on the pavement. Old trick I learned with motorbikes. Great video, I'm sold and gonna buy a set.

Great physical test of before and after, what a difference, they are not that expensive, should be on all bikes.

I love mine. However I will say that the pads they come with are just "ok". When they wear out I'm going to grab some nice pads which will make it even better.

Mine only lasted two and a half years but that's okay because the price is good. Bought a new set and good to go. Love these brakes.

How did they die? Cuz I saw a comment that said that there's a screw u can tighten to compensate for oil loss

Did you do an update vid on how these are holding up? Is the hydraulic part serviceable?
    Thanks!

When i got v-brakes in 90's , the first time when i touched a lever i ended up flipping over the bars so, I am not so excited as you are about stopping power.

I was going to buy these for my E bike, but I’ve learned that the seals on these calibers eventually wear out and break and the oil comes leaking out, then you have no brakes.

It only does that if you do very heavy breakings, heavy mtb trails or have large hills near you. Otherwise it lasts a few years.

@@kazuviking maybe so, but mechanical break require less maintenance, less of a hassle, tried and true, pretty much bullet proof, so I decided to stay with them.

Do you still need break pads with these?

    • @jase6709

They come with brake pads fitted. just mount the lever and calliper and they are good to go.

No the problem is the things require you to hurt the hands just to brake. Not practical. I have a decent mountain bike and it requires no effort to stop, these on my ebike are garbage..
