Thanks for sharing your knowledge ! I'm 55 and I used to turn wrenches for a living back in the late 70's but SO much has changed under the hood since then that I've been somewhat hesitant to work on newer cars. Your videos are super helpful. Thanks again !

      What size is the belt

Thank you thank you thank you. You showed the right way to do it, showed it from all the key angles, and narrated all the key steps. I never would have found that hidden little allen bolt that locks the compressor belt tensioner. My first time messing with belts, but I did the whole job in half an hour. If I had gone into it with just my Hanes guide I'd probably still be under there!
Unfortunately I needed to get it done right away so I bought the belt locally instead of ordering from your website. Just want you to know I'm grateful!

Thank you for the tutorial. I wish it was as easy as the Jetta, though. Only have that top tensioner and one belt. Lost an entire morning just trying to get to those 6mm allen bolts because my hands barely fit between the tensioner and the fans.

Ty so much, I have been looking for a good video for my 98 Audi A4, which is essentially the same car, but why do I have a separate belt for the power steering pump and how does it come off?

Do you have to uninstall the A/C belt in order to replace the Power steering/Alt belt? I only need to replace the big belt.

Hey would this work on my audi a6 5v turbo engine?

Volkswagen REALLY could have given a couple more inched in the front of this engine. Unfortunately, this isn't the only pain in the tail thing to repair on the Passat.

So there a "service position" where you pull the front clip forward to gain more access, in case you weren't aware.
